Our general's purpose is to discuss Virtual Reality games and technology, with VRChat currently taking the spotlight thanks to the ability to import your own avatars for use and the ability to play the game without a VR headset which allowed the knuckles meme to bring the game a population unseen by other VR titles. To play most of our games you will need a VR headset. The best known headsets right now would be the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets. Typically you're going to want to pick one of these when buying a headset for gaming. You will also want a powerful computer due to the performance intensive nature of VR rendering multiple screens, use the SteamVR performance test to judge how ready you are. As far as which headset you buy, its always good to ask in the thread, do some of your own research, and maybe one day someone will bother to write up all the important differences and drop it in this pastebin.
