jiyeon is known for her hot tempered personality. her members usually have to calm her down or tell her to use breathing techniques. whenever she is mad the usual reason is for her impatience. people are usally quite scared when she's mad because she will turn from an angel to a devil real fast. very clever minded and uses her brain a lot, but she usually can't stop herself from saying things out loud. jiyeon is known for being a very blunt person, she's the one who will tell you if you look ugly in a shirt or that yout new hair colour makes you look extremely old. she hates people telling her what to do and she is really indipendent. she hates being treated like a little baby and she doesn't tolerate childishness. she does have a soft and cute aegyo side, but she rarely shows it, she'll only show it when she's maybe around people like boys she likes or her family. she's loyal and keeps to her word, if you tell her a secret she'll make sure it stays a secret. likes to do things immediately and she hates waiting and people being slow. has a lot of mood swings, one second she's all smiley and touchy with her members, then next second she'll be totally mean and pushing everyone away. she likes to try new things and is pretty fearless, she likes feeling rushes of adrenaline, ex. bungee jumping, skydiving, etc.

background:
jiyeon was born and raised in busan, south korea. her family consisted of her grandparents and older brother. when she was young her parents went abroad to work to give them a better life. the two siblings were left to live with their grandparents who they depended on. Jiyeon's older brother, Jinyeong, were very close and are basically each other's other piece. The two are still in contact with their parents abroad who come and visit korea once a year. jiyeon's school life was normal and she was always the top of her class. but she got in to trouble because of her honest remarks and constant mad attitude. as time passed she got a hold of her feelings and can usually hold back her anger, but sometimes it just comes out. jiyeon discovered singing when she was in elementary when she joined choir and got complimented on her voice.
from then on she kept practicing and practicing until she reached high school. when she started high school she was again part of the choir and all other music related activities. she also made sure to learn a few intruments including piano and violin. since then she's been passionate about music and wanted to do it for the rest of her life and that's when she auditioned and immediately got scouted.
