Bye Moose

Alexithymiaa: -Steph sat at the kitchen counter, her laptop in front of her with her notebook beside it. She leaned over her notebook aas she wrote, scribbling out some of the things she already had written to adjust them for lines she liked better. She caught Moose running by her with one of Felix's sneakers in his mouth, narrowing her eyes. "Moose! No! ARIZONA! He has a shoe!"-
Covet: Felix had been in the bathroom , but quickly ran out doing his pants up. "Oh my god, where the hell is Nick." He said running after the dog. " Come here. Now." He said, completely annoyed with the dog at this point, chasing him around the living room.
Alexithymiaa: "He's running late." She said with a frown, spinning on her stool to follow the two running through the house, she watched Moose dart away because now it's a game, pointing her finger at him. "He's going to put holes in it! Catch him!"-
Covet: "I'm trying, He's kind of fast, and agile!" Felix said with a loud grumble. As he tried to corner the dog. "Has he messaged you? Or anything?" He asked as he reached out to grab the dog wrapping his arms around him to wrestle him into submission.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, his flight was delayed, but I talked to him when he landed so he should be here soon. He wanted to go home and drop off his things so he had room in the car for the dogs." She watched Felix wrestle the dog to the floor, letting out a deep sigh. "Don't hurt him. Or yourself. No one get hurt."-
Covet: "It's fine, We're fine." he grunted and took his shoe out of the dogs mouth, "Stupid asshole dog. I like animals, but you.. are a heathen monster." He said rolling onto his back keeping his shoe held to his chest tightly as he panted out.
Alexithymiaa: "You don't sound fine." She said in a grumble, hearing a knock on the door which of course sent Penny and Moose into a barking frenzy. "I'm sure that's Nick. I'll get it." She said a little too eagerly, grabbing for the single crutch and slipping off the stool. She walked at a decent pace considering the crutch, pushing the dogs out of the way so she could open the door. "Hey Nick! They missed you." // Nick smiled at Steph when she opened the door, looking down at Moose and Penny and their barking. "Well I missed them too. How are you?" He asked her, leaning in to give her one of those fake cheek kisses where you don't actually make lip to cheek contact. He stepped into the house, leaning over to wrap Moose into a bear hug. "There's my boy. Aw, you're a good boy." He cooed at him as Moose instantly flopped over and rolled around wildly for belly rubs. For the first time since Nick left, Jessie voluntarily got up off the couch, walking over to him with her tail wagging. "And my girl. Hi sweetie." He said as he extended a hand to her for pets.-
Covet: Felis sat up and glared at Nick, calling Moose a good boy. "Wait... what?" He said raising an eyebrow still holding onto the shoe. He knew he was supposed to be nice, but now the guy was just reinforcing bad behavior, after the shit he just pulled with his shoes.
Alexithymiaa: -Shutting the door behind him, she turned to look down at the dogs fawning over Nick, her gaze slowly shifting over to Felix. "Arizona..." She spoke in a small voice, giving him a look. // Nick shifted to sit on his butt, pulling both dogs into the hug. "Jessie didn't have any accidents, did she? I know she's kind of geting up there and she has trouble sometimes."-
Covet: "Jessie was great. The little dogs go out more than enough for Jessie to go with them." Felix said then looked at Steph, giving a huff. Getting up to his feet, setting his shoe on the island.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, no problems at all with Jessie. She didn't even fight us about taking her pill." She chimed in, trying to avoid the topic of Moose since she didn't want Felix to lose his shit. "We loved having her." // Nick smiled and climbed up to his feet, rubbing his hand on Jessie's head. "Yeah, she's a good girl. I lucked out with good ones. Bryan and CJ say hi, by the way."-
Covet: Felix just leaned against the island, looking at them, doing his best to bite his tongue, Cause he didn't want Steph to feel bad about it. But he couldn't hide the glare that he was giving Moose.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, I talked to him this afternoon when you left their apartment." She said with a smile, looking over to Felix when he'd fallen quiet to see him making a face at Moose. "Right! So... I'm sure you're exhausted from traveling and you want to get your dogs back home, right?" // Nick nodded , looking between the two. "Yeah, probably a good idea. If I can get them to leave. Did you guys have fun with Penny and Nugget?" He asked, directing the question more at Moose since he knows Jessie isnt big on playing in her old age. "I know you did. You love being here, don't you?" He said with a laugh, leaning over to pet Moose again.-
Covet: Felix rolled his eyes and shook his head. It was getting harder and harder. "I'm sure we're all ready for him to go home." He said forcing a smile on his face.
Alexithymiaa: -She pursed her lips, glancing down at the dogs. "Yeah it was... an experience for everyone." She said gently, flicking her hair out of her eyes. // Nick looked up, first looking at Steph and then at Felix. "Everything okay?"-
Covet: "Yeah great, just kind of tired and ready to hit the hay is all. I get grumpy when I'm tired." He said glancing over at Steph as he lied to Nick, even though he was grumpy because of the dog.
Alexithymiaa: -Steph nodded her head. "Yeah, everyones just tired, but it was good to see you and I'm glad you enjoyed your trip." She leaned forward to hug him, trying to usher him out the door. // "Right, sorry. I'll get out of your hair." He said, heading over to the door and pulling his car keys from his pocket. "Alright, let's go!" He called to the dogs, opening the front door and letting Moose run out to the car, Jessie following slowly behind him as they all headed out.-
Covet: "Have a good night Nick." Felix said watching him go with a sense of relief. He looked at Steph and sighed out. "Sorry... I know I could have behaved better. Just.. the shoe.. and after the last few days... I'm exhausted."
Alexithymiaa: -She watched Nick leave, quickly swinging her gaze over to Felix. "What? No you were fine. I got a little nervous at first, but you kept it together. Thank you." She limped over to him, sending him a smile. "I know you're tired, but I'm so close to finishing the lyrics of the song for Liz so I'm not ready to get into bed yet."-
Covet: "I'm not that tired, I just said that so Nick wouldn't hang around and get Moose out of here." He said. "I have some stuff I can work on, so don't sweat it, Red." He told her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head as she came over.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh. What are you working on?" She asked him, leaning into his kiss before limping her way back over to the counter so she could climb up onto her stool again. "If you want, I can read you some of what I have so far."-
Covet: "Just organizing some of my photos into different digital albums, so if I need to submit anything to anyone, I can just send the file straight over." He said to her, then sat down on the stool. "Sure, I'd love to hear it."
Alexithymiaa: "Oh, have you heard anything else about that gallery? Do they want to show your work?" She asked him before looking down at the page of lyrics she had in front of her. "It's sort of slow... but I also want it kind of digital and electronic. I don't know if I can really describe the tempo in my head for this." She skimmed the page to refresh herself on the lyrics she'd written. "I was sort of in this fuck you, I'll do what I want mindset. It feels kind of political." She paused, taking a deep breath before she started to sing, keeping her head down in her notebook because she still needed to read the lyrics. "Little girls, listen closely. Covet: "I gave them a file that had some of my stuff, I should hear back from them, hopefully sometime next week. The guy was on vacation or something." He said with a shrug, then looked down at the lyrics with her. "Okay, I'll keep that in mind then as I listen." He said as she started to read.
Alexithymiaa: -After she sang the second chorus, she stopped abruptly, setting the notebook down in front of her and turning her attention to him. "I don't have the bridge yet, but after the bridge is just another chorus. It's basically just the bridge I need to finish." She paused, chewing on the inside of her cheek. "It's really different from most of Liz's music. I hope she actually likes it."-
Covet: "I think she will. Where she's kind of ditzy, I think she wants to make the best impression on people and well this song is definitely going to do that." He told Steph with a smile.
Alexithymiaa: "You think so?" She asked with raised brows, her mouth turning up into a smile. "Well I'm going to try to crank out the bridge tonight so I can start writing music tomorrow. And then I want to spend the weekend putting those wood pieces together and sanding them smooth for Baby B's block set. It's going to take me a while to paint each face of every block, so I want to make sure they're ready for me whenever I have time to paint."-
Covet: "Yeah. You did good with this." He said kissing her on the cheek as he leaned back. "Alright, I have faith in you. I'll just be chilling on the couch moving pictures and watching Adult Swim." He told her. "Do you need anything before I go sit down?" He asked her.
Alexithymiaa: -She shook her head. "Anything I need, I am more than capable of getting up to get it myself. Unless I need a moderately tall Felix, and then I will poll the room to see if there are any here." She said with a laugh, leaning back over to peck his lips before nudging him. "Go watch tv."-
Covet: "Alright. I'll just be over there if you need me." He told her then got up and went to chill on the couch, happy not to have to worry about Moose anymore.. for now.. we hope.
