  6. Please read our rules below!
  7. General Rules:
  8. Be respectful towards other players and staff members.
  9. Do not harass players or repeatedly target them in roleplay.
  10. Do not use explicit content, racism, discrimination, or excessive swearing.
  11. Do not use cheats, exploits, scripts, voice modifiers, or ban evasion of any kind.
  12. Do not abuse props in any way; prop spam, block, climb, trap etc.
  13. Do not spam in any way; mic spam, chat spam, toolgun spam, etc.
  14. Do not argue in chat or fight staffing decisions.
  15. Do not advertise other sites or servers.
  16. Do not AFK on the server to farm hours for ranks or to become eligible for staff.
  17. Report issues with other players to staff members, or issues with staff to forums.
  18. Do not take rule breaks into your own hands or demote players when staff are online.
  19. Roleplay Rules:
  20. Do not RDM (Random Death Match). This means randomly shooting/killing a player. Brandishing weapons, attacking, and killing must be for valid roleplay reasons.
  21. Do not break NLR (New Life Rule). This means immediately returning to the area that one has died or using information from before one’s death. When killed, a player must wait at least 5 minutes before returning to the area of their death.
  22. Do not FailRP (Fail RolePlay). This means behaving Out Of Character in roleplay situations or saying/doing something that one wouldn’t do in real life. A player should adhere to the described role of their job/class.
  23. Do not Metagame. This means using OOC knowledge for in-character situations. A player should base their decisions/actions on realistic information or events and not UI elements or game mechanics.
  24. Do not roleplay in spawn or the Casino. This includes stealing entities or using SWEPs on players.
  25. Do not abuse your job; spamming abilities, self-supplying items when dealers are available, etc.
  26. Do not scam or bait players; "conning" someone out of an item, luring someone into a restricted area, etc.
  27. Basing/Building Rules:
  28. You must own the doors of a base to claim ownership of it. The players who own the front door have access and building rights.
  29. A player can only own or be a part of 1 base.
  30. Do not build outside/outdoors (see job rules for exceptions). The front door marks the beginning of the buildable property area.
  31. There must be at least one entrance to a base where anyone can get inside.
  32. Do not create crouch/jump/maze/disorienting/black-out bases. Players must be able to enter or exit fairly.
  33. One-way mirror materials/props are allowed (see raiding rules for allowed use).
  34. Do not create sky bases or use fading bridges.
  35. A player is limited to 5 fading doors. 2 additional fading doors may be used for printers.
  36. Fading windows do not count towards the fading door limit.
  37. Do not double-stack fading doors or position them where they can trap players.
  38. Keypads must be created for fading doors in proximity to and on either side of each.
  39. Keypads must have a hold length of at least 5 seconds and can have a maximum delay of 3 seconds.
  40. Mega Basing Rules:
  41. At least 6 players are required to be in a party to mega base.
  42. Mega basing can occur at the beach, industrial, sewers, cave, or L-corner of downtown and slums only.
  43. The 5 fading doors limit applies to the entrance of the mega base.
  44. 2 extra fading doors may be used for each building inside the mega base.
  45. Textscreen Rules:
  46. Do not use offensive language in or abuse the character limit of textscreens.
  47. Textscreen opacity must be set to 255 (i.e. no transparency).
  48. You may place a KOS (Kill on Sight) or building sign at your base’s entrance. They must be a size of at least 60.
  49. Do not list “all reasons”, “if annoying”, “loitering”, etc. as KOS reasons. KOS signs must make sense.
  50. KOS lines are only permitted inside of a base.
  51. Only use a building sign if the base is being set up (i.e. being built). A player cannot have entities in their base while under building protection.
  52. Combat (KOS) Rules:
  53. You can fire at someone if:
  54. They are damaging/hurting you or a party member.
  55. They are damaging or stealing your entities.
  56. They are raiding you or vice versa.
  57. They are kidnapping/arresting/throwing bugbait at you.
  58. They violate your KOS sign.
  59. They are a sewer monster.
  60. You cannot fire at someone if:
  61. They are holding a weapon pointed in your direction.
  62. They are threatening you or saying something you do not like.
  63. They are breaking roleplay rules.
  64. Raiding Rules:
  65. Type /raid in chat to begin or assist a raid.
  66. Do not raid a base with a building sign, one that you are already inside of, or one that you or your party members belong to.
  67. A raid zone is limited to the size of the base. Anyone in front of or inside of the zone may be killed.
  68. You may raid a player every 10 minutes, while the same player can be raided every 25 minutes.
  69. The maximum time players have to raid is 15 minutes. They must vacate by the time it is over.
  70. A raid is automatically over when all the raiders have been killed.
  71. Anyone killed during a raid cannot return until after the raid has ended and NLR time is up (police are exempted from this during PD raids).
  72. Do not do anything to unfairly disrupt the raid while it is in progress; building/spawning props, using fading door binds, switching jobs, disconnecting, etc.
  73. Do not shoot through one-way props during a raid; where you can only see or shoot through one side.
  74. Mugging Rules:
  75. Type /mug in chat to begin a mugging.
  76. The maximum amount of money you can mug for is $100,000.
  77. You may mug a player every 5 minutes, while the same person can be mugged every 30 minutes.
  78. If a player is being mugged, they may attempt to use a weapon for self-defense.
  79. If a mugged player attempts to run away or defy the demands, the mugger may kill them.
  80. Kidnapping Rules:
  81. Type /kidnap in chat to begin a kidnap.
  82. A player can only be kidnapped if they are outside (i.e. in public).
  83. A kidnapper must provide a ransom. The maximum amount of money for a ransom is $300,000.
  84. If a player is kidnapped, they cannot suicide to escape.
  85. A kidnapper can only hold a victim for 10 minutes.
  86. You may kidnap a player every 15 minutes.
  87. Do not kidnap government jobs (excluding the Mayor).
  88. Terror Rules:
  89. Type /terror in chat to begin a terror.
  90. Terrorists must target government officials. Non-government may be killed as collateral damage only.
  91. A terror may last for up to 30 seconds and the Terrorist is KOS during that time.
  92. You may terror every 30 minutes.
  93. Job Rules:
  94. Civilians:
  95. Civilians are the “neutral classes” and can live humble lives.
  96. Civilians cannot perform any crime actions (steal, mug, raid, kidnap, terror).
  97. All Civilians except for Dealers and Hobos must base indoors. The latter can build small bases or stands outdoors where they cannot block the street or access to bases.
  98. Dealers cannot self-supply items unless there are no others to buy them from.
  99. Dealers, Hotel Managers, or any jobs that provide services must be active.
  100. Hobos cannot have money printers or any weapons larger than pistols.
  101. Hobos cannot base or own buildings. They must build outside.
  102. Bodyguards must base with their employer.
  103. Bankers must base at the bank and can hold valuables for other players.
  104. Dogs cannot own weapons or money printers. They can base if with an owner.
  105. Animal Control can cuff dogs on site and bring them to their base to train them.
  106. Animal Control can hold a dog for up to 10 minutes.
  107. Criminals:
  108. Criminals are the “evil classes” and can commit crimes.
  109. All Criminals except for drug dealers (Meth Cooks, Weed Growers, etc.) can perform crime actions.
  110. All Criminals except for Sewer Monsters must base indoors. The latter can build small bases in the sewers.
  111. A player can counter criminal activities if the victim is in their party.
  112. Only Thieves, Terrorists, and Gang Members may mug and raid.
  113. Hitmen and Mercenaries may only raid to complete their hits.
  114. Only Kidnappers can kidnap.
  115. Only Terrorists can terror.
  116. Mafia Members may have gang wars which can last up to 15 minutes.
  117. Sewer Monsters can KOS or raid any player in the sewers.
  118. Sewer Monsters cannot use guns or wear armor.
  119. Sewer Monsters cannot base outside of the sewers.
  120. If a Hitman is unable to complete a hit, they may suicide.
  121. Government:
  122. Government are the “good classes” and can enforce the law.
  123. All Government must base in the PD.
  124. Government cannot be corrupt. This includes them performing crime actions, using illegal items, or breaking laws.
  125. Police may counter all criminal activities. All Government must counter PD raids.
  126. Police must patrol the streets and search bases for illegal items/activities.
  127. Police cannot RDA (Random Arrest), randomly weapon check people, or have checkpoints outside of PD.
  128. Police must obtain a warrant to raid a base. They can use what they see as reasons.
  129. Police should make the PD lobby accessible to the public. The lobby doors may be locked but no part of the lobby can be KOS.
  130. The Mayor may create laws of their own, but the following laws are default and cannot be changed:
  131. Do not attack other citizens except in self-defense.
  132. Do not steal or break into peoples’ homes.
  133. Money printers are illegal.
  134. The Mayor cannot make anything that is against the rules legal or go against default laws.
  135. The Mayor cannot make certain players/jobs illegal or exempt them from laws.
  136. The Mayor cannot make KOS laws (KOS rules still apply).
  137. The Mayor must sell gun licenses if weapons are illegal.
  138. The Mayor must have a law board up and visible to the public for their laws to be enforced.
  139. The Mayor must have a valid reason for a lockdown (e.g. terrorism, gang violence, PD raid).
  140. The Mayor may demote any police if they have a valid reason.
  141. S.W.A.T. must handle all illegal activities such as raiding, mugging, and kidnapping.
