  1. A large, dark oak desk dominated the center of a lavish office. On the front was hung a sign that read "Not for sale or commission. Any offers will be answered by Security". Just above it, sitting on the top of the desk, was a little sign that read "Grastia, CEO".
  2. Behind the desk sat a tall blonde woman, dressed in a tight-fitting red blouse that looked ready to burst at any time. Black horns sloped forward from the sides of her head as her piercing red eyes sifted through leaflets of paper.
  3.
  4. "..... What report did you say this was again?" she asked, addressing a smaller and much more modestly-dressed demon.
  5. "The report on the uh, F.S. phenomenon, from R&D." The secretary's response made Grastia roll her eyes.
  6. "Of course it is..." she scoffed, carelessly tossing the papers to the side. "They're off trying to uncover the mysteries of existence when all I asked them was to figure out how to put the biggest tits on the smallest waist without causing back problems. We already know all about F.S. It's not a hard concept to grasp." the busty businesswoman dismisses.
  7. "O-of course, mistress." the red-headed secretary meekly agreed, the little bat wings crowning her head tucking back. "We also have reports that kingdom outriders have spotted more activity in the ancient ruins just past the Nubei mounta-"
  8. "Whatever, who cares, anything local?"
  9. Biting her lip in frustration, the secretary took a deep breath continued her report. "... The kingdom is trying to expand its borders into the unclaimed lands, trying to bring all the old duchies and baronies back into closer contact now that they believe their soldiers won't be ravaged by monsters."
  10.
  11. That comment made Grastia chuckle into her mug of pitch-black coffee. "Oh they'll be ravaged, but this time they'll pay the mosnters to do it too~" she mused, pleased at her own pun. 'Ravished', the secretary thought, trying to keep her voice inside her throat. 'The word you're looking for is ravished, you dumb cow.'
  12. "Make sure the expedition has all the camp followers they'll need for a 'long, hard' journey. Explore any of the old dungeons if they stop by them too. Every good highway needs a halfway house, after all."
  13. "Oh right away, mistress! I'll let the Venus Forge know if we get any... peculiar requests."
  14. "Tell them we're not making any more 'Golden Slimes' this time." the CEO scoffed, spinning about in her chair idly. "That's just too humiliating."
  15. "Of course...." The secretary grimaced, vividly recalling the PR headache of that whole mess. Custom monsters were always available to especially wealthy patrons, but sometimes the people running the Forge were a little too accomodating.
  16.
  17. "Oh and one more thing-" As the secretary turned to leave, Grastia's voice made her pause. "-Another black coffee before you go."
  18. Taking Grastia's empty mug, the secretary silently fumed. She deserved better than this. Was Grastia punishing her for something, or did she really forget what things were like a hundred years ago? She wondered if the CEO even still remembered her name....
