  1. The Lendol Archipelago doesn't have a vast landmass nearby to affect heating/cooling, so it doesn't have a classic "rainy season/dry season" monsoon. It does, however, have a "monsoon" in the more vernacular sense of seasonal tropical storms.

  6. In the summer months (southern hemisphere winter), the trade wind pattern slides north, and you end up with strong but steady winds from the Southeast. These may bring rain, or they may not, but they're likely to be cool, calm, and consistent, making this the best time to vacation in Lendol. The spring and autumn are likewise calm, but the wind is a tad warmer and less steady, and drifts in from the east. But in the winter months (southern hemisphere summer), the trade wind pattern slides south, and your archipelago falls beneath the dreaded doldrums, which means long periods of warm, stagnant air punctuated by tropical cyclones. On your north coast, these will usually be tropical storms in their early stages of formation, which then curve southward to swing over Libraria and Ausitoria (something to take note of for the Great War's beginnings?). On your south coast, however, they will be very severe hurricanes fed by the warm waters of the South Helian ocean, which will likewise curve south along your southern coast before swinging out to the southeast
