- Works for both NG and NG+ categories, because there's no differences between these two, besides extra mashing in NG, that loses ~30-40 seconds over NG+.
- Characters to practice with:
- Naruto, Kakashi, Guy, Tsunade, Choji, Neji, Kiba, Shikamaru, Lee, Gaara
- Looping:
- 1) First, bounce the character off the ground, or combo him against the wall.
- 2) Mash Jump, to execute Air Dash as fast as possible. Some characters require a delay between bounces (notably, Guy) to continue the loops.
- 3) Right after Dash input happened, execute a combo, repeat.
- Advanced Looping (pre-Rasengan, works only with Naruto):
- 1) Bounce off the ground, against the wall. Make sure you 1-2-3 atleast once, before following next steps.
- 2) Right after the final hit of air combo connected, hit Demon Wind Shuriken. If done correctly, Shuriken will bounce the enemy back against the wall, dealing truckton of damage.
- 3) To reset the character's position (and allow it to be looped again), throw Kunai after DWS connected. Do not mash, otherwise DWS won't come out (there's a slight delay).
- Choji -> Super Choji setups
- 1) Throw Kunais, UJ right after.
- 2) st. Down+Circle x2, UJ.
- Super Choji loops:
- 1) j. Up+Circle (WILL NOT WALLBOUNCE BY ANY MEANS) is pretty okay.
- 2) j. Back+Circle (causes groundbounce, loops until kawarimi or clash)
- 3) st. Circlex2+Forward+Circlex3 (requires very difficult timing to start the combo again without whiffing)
- 1-cycle Orochimaru: UJ, st. Down+Circle x2, j. any air combo.
- Kidoumaru strat: Throw Kunais, switch arenas, Taunt (hold Up), UJ into loop.
- Sakon strat: Throw Kunais, switch arenas, Taunt (ATK up), j. Down+Circle x2 => loop, finish off w/ UJ (collect some chakra)
- Kimimaro strat (Lee): Ground bounce, pin to the wall w/ loops, use Leaf Great Hurricane (requires some precise timing) at <60% HP after every cycle.
- Kimimaro strat (Gaara): Pin him to the wall asap, use Circlex2+Forward+Circlex3 loop (groundbounce), don't fuck up the reset. Finish off w/ UJ.
- UJ's during the run:
- It's more consistent to use UJ against the enemy that's under the threshold.
- It's faster to not use UJ that deal 25 damage (Naruto's Rendan, Guy's BMaOH).
- Always use UJ that gives you buffs at the start of the round (Naruto's B.Rasengan, Shikamaru's Strangle Jutsu, Kakashi's OoiN).
- UJ is slower on Naruto, if you use advanced strat.
