  1. ...give him too good of mobility and won't understand why you'd ever have a soldier or a scout. It's like people want to play him like a soldier that doesn't take damage from rocket jumps and doesn't need to aim or predict and can also reflect enemy soldier's rockets.

  3. Maybe if the jumpjet took flame thrower ammo as fuel as a downside. Something like after using a charge it began draining ammo from your flamethrower to refuel it, I'm not sure.

  9. Getting both worlds to work out well makes game design more than twice as hard.

  11. I'd rather them focus on pubs and competitive go back to where it was, but that's because I don't care about competitive in any video game. I want to play a video game to have a fun, interesting experience with neet ideas and mechanics coming out every so often (even if it cost money).

  13. Competitive communities usually hate having too many mechanics or different items besides stats because so much of their mental energy is expended just trying to do things perfectly. They get caught off guard whenever something new or weird shows up that trounces their previous habits they've spent thousands of hours developing.

  15. There are so many great and not even hard to program idea's for TF2 floating around, but none of them will see the light of day for so many reasons, not the least of which is "balance among gods".

  17. I hope someone makes a cool 12v12, no-ultimate, self-sufficient-class-based-FPS like TF2 that doesn't focus on any competitive mode or ESports. It'd be fun to have updates where they add interesting ideas other than just "jetpacks", "gas that burns", "piercing fireball spell on a gun", "meme slaps that's worthless", "better sandvich for just you".
