49. Ra's AL Ghul is dead, slain by former League of Assassin Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke. His victory is not without a cost, the price his right eye; taken by Ra's own grandson Damien. Fearing for her sons' safety Talia AL Ghul decides now is the time for the boy to meet his father. Half a world away a trail of chemical plant heists finds the Batman catching the culprit in the very act. The thief is Killer Croc, but Croc has changed mutated by some unseen hand. With the shocking appearance of the lovely but deadly Talia, Croc is quickly taken down. Back at Gotham harbor Talia gives the Detective the news of Ra's fate along with the surprise of introducing him to Damien, their son. Talia sets out to handle Slade while Damien falls under the guardianship of Batman. The young man possess great fighting prowess but his cocky self confidence creates friction back at Wayne Manor. Batman's investigation into Croc's actions leads him to the home of Dr. Kirk Langstrom, creator of the Man-bat formula. But Langstrom is merely another pawn serving the ambitions of the League of Assassins and their new leader Deathstroke. Deathstroke takes Langstrom's family hostage moving up the time-table for product delivery. Meanwhile Damien using the Batcave's resources conducts his own manhunt. One of Slade's lieutenant's likes to spend his off time in Gotham. Damien combats the traitor but before he can deliver the final blow, is stopped by Nightwing. Batman impressed by Damien's ability and drive allows him to take up the mantel of Robin. Soon the two are hot on the trail of Deathstroke who is aiming to amass an army of ninja Man-bats. Can Batman teach his new sidekick what it takes to be a hero, leaving behind his murderous past? Or will his greatest challenge yet prove to be for the very soul of the son of Batman.

Indeed, it is not good as the comic book but it still good as the other great Batman movie. some people may a concern about some detailing and some super natural facts (like the serum to make one MANBAT and another serum made by the same scientist to reverse the process instantly), but hey! this is a movie so they have a specified time. Unlike comic books they have to show all the story in a single movie. taking that into account the movie was awesome,. It's shows the personal life of batman, where he is a dad. the father son conversation are good, robin character portrait here brilliantly. As the movie is particularly focused on RObin how he adapting the way of "justice not vengeance". The small humerous parts where knightwing catches robin and tell batman. THE LAST FIGHTING BETWEEN DEATHSTROKE AND ROBIN IS THE BEST PART OF THE MOVIE. I think it's a must watch batman movie.
 52. OK so I've had a lot of people tell me about this movie since they know how in love with Talia I am. I have been on strike from anything DC related since the abysmal treatment of Talia Al Ghul and Damian Wayne in the Batman Inc run, Grant Morrison completely and utterly decimated the core character of Talia Al Ghul. Taking her from this loving mother and woman who would kill anyone who dared to harm her darling son, and bad ass assassin that is FOREVER misunderstood by the general comic book readers.

ON TO THE REVIEW

So anyway a friend of mine comes over and has Son of the Batman with him, personally I'm like "Get that thing out of my house" since, I've not bought or looked at anything since Damian and Talia were murdered. After a couple hours my friend convinces me to sit down and watch it let's just say it was a lot of prodding for that.

The animation was good I won't deny that DC comics does amazing things in animation and I never will, it's the truth.

I liked the woman who voiced Talia Al Ghul, for those who don't know it was the lovely Morena Baccarin who played Anna in the newer version of V, Stargate, Firefly and as well as lending her voice to Justice League series. If they ever do (Which I doubt since Nolan pretty much blasted Talia back decades with TDKR) put Talia on the big screen again I would want her to play her. Jason O'Mara did good as Bruce/Batman though I am more of the golden voice of Kevin Conroy. Stuart Allan doing the voice of Damian Wayne was adorable getting a little boy to do the voice of well a little boy was cute, my friend did show me the special features and this little boy should be cast as Damian in a live action movie (again if they ever do that which I doubt).

The Topic of the "Drugging" Incident

Was this really necessary? No, it wasn't in my opinion this was a slap in the face to the true Talia fans. Talia does not need to drug Bruce or anyone and the idea that she needed to is completely ludicrous. As well as destroying and disrespecting the beautiful story of *Son of the Demon written by Mike Barr and Jerry Bingham*. Which is the TRUE Origin story of Damian Wayne in my opinion.

Morrison took the love story of Talia and Bruce and wiped his ass with it, (I'm sorry that's just how I see it) when he wrote this taking the love that was clearly evident between Bruce and Talia in Son of the Demon and made it something dirty and wrong. If DC wanted to take the steps to mending the breach between them and Talia fans they could have just omitted this scene or told it in a different way they did not need to make their love out to be some cold and calculating thing.

Deathstroke

I understand that he's popular now due to the video game Injustice: Gods Among Us and Arrow, but really. Was he really needed to be in this when there are other more tangible villains who did have ties to the League of Assassins that Ra's could have considered a successor. I just don't get it they had Dusan Al Ghul (White Ghost) already in the movie he could have played the villain role but no he gets killed.

Personally I would have rather seen Dusan as the main villain him trying to take the League of Assassins away from Ra's and Talia makes a lot more sense than Deathstroke. Sure people might not know that much about Dusan but this would have been a great way of getting people to get to know the middle child of the Al Ghul line.

Wrap up

If I look past the horrible "drugging" thing and believe me I'm trying my hardest to wipe that bull crap from my mind. It was a decent movie though I would have wanted the hug and kiss that Talia shared between her and Damian to last longer it just felt fleeting to me.

It's my wish and my prayer that Talia finally gets more positive attention in the future, she so deserves it. It really does make me cry thinking of how freely DC comics gives attention to Harley, Ivy, and the Cat but they always treat Talia so badly. She deserves so much better she's been around for 43 years and never once given her own comic book, or have statues made of her and or of her and Batman, or T-shirts. Everyone else has merchandise of their favorite characters. What merchandise does Talia fans have to show our love for our favorite? It's unfair and so very wrong that she is *Forever* denied what they've given on a silver platter to the others.
