  9. the earliest you can tell that the patch was successful is after the tutorial battle against tepig and bidoof. on the overworld, select your kingdom and hit "info". go to your character and hit Y on the page where it displays your warrior stats. you know it worked if Top Speed's description says that it lasts for 2 turns, and if Oichi's Sweet Song says that it heals 50 HP.
