  1. The initial rise of the Llewellyn to power was largely based on their ability to commune with the myriads of Nature Spirits and Phantasmal Beasts that once dotted the hills and plains of Azeroth. That power is derived from their unique ancestry as the descendants of a union between a man and what is believed to be 'Fairies', Nature Spirits of the land and water. Although the knowledge of water magecraft was lost along with almost all of the family during the Third War, within the blood of the Llewellyn still lingers the authority of communing with and evoking the spirits that lie within the borders of what was once their dominion; and also, some other passive effects of that wondrous ancestry.
  2.
  3. Notably, the essence of the ancestral water spirit manifests as the passive ability to draw and replenish magical energy by coming in contact with fresh water. Whether it is a lake, a river, a warm bath or shower, or even the moisture of a heavily humid day, magical energy is regenerated to an according to degree independently of her own mana replenishment. Being submerged or drenched by it naturally has a greater effect. That way, sudden rain or a tangle with a magus using water spells can turn the tide of a battle. Additionally, Ceridwen enjoys a high resistance to fire, flames, and the heat of a summer day.

  5. Adar Llwch Gwin
  6. The raptor-like thralls of nature, best described as huge quadruped birds of prey. Comparable to griffins, but lacking the characteristic prideful demeanour of the continental beast. Summoned in a flock of three at a time, they eagerly obey the commands of their master, with the condition that they will interpret it absolutely literally. As such, great care must be taken in the precise wording of their orders.
  7.
  8. Their keen avian vision allows them to scout from a high altitude, concealing themselves despite their size, but their sharp beaks and razor talons are hardly for show.
  9.
  10. Cŵn Annwn
  11. Hounds of the Afterlife, whose howls signal the Wild Hunt. Two snow-white dogs with red ears that reside in the Spirit World, they lead the hunting procession of their owner with their baying calls which signal death, growing softer the closer they are to their prey. Owing to their nature as hunting dogs, they are excellent trackers either by smell or traces of mana.
  12.
  13. Pretty intimidating, but they love being scratched behind their red ears.
  14.
  15. Afanc
  16. A water monster by any definition. An unholy cross between a beaver and a crocolisk with the combined jaw power of both, featuring the abilities to turn invisible and expel venomous spikes along with a tough hide that is magically resistant to a not insignificant degree. Its purpose can be easily divined by the phrase “giant venomous crocodile/beaver hybrid”.
  17.
  18. Low petability, but it actually adores Ceridwen, as a reflection of its weakness to maidens.
  19.
  20. Ceffyl Dŵr
  21. Pale horse of the mountain springs. A sentient Phantom Beast that is said to have inhabited the lakes and streams of the Alterac landscape, using its shape-shifting abilities for both nefarious and light-hearted purposes. It's pelt is magic resistance, it has a water affinity and can control the element at will. Possesses the ability to dodge attacks by evaporating into mist and condensing back into a solid form. Getting struck by its trampling hooves is not a pleasant experience.
  22.
  23. Respectful of the contract with Ceridwen, but actually has a personality capable of both malice and mischief.
  24.
  25. Gwyllgi
  26. The black dog of ill omen that features extensively in the local folklore of Lordaeron. With fur so black as to blend in with the darkness even on moonlit nights, burning red eyes, and bloodstained fangs through which issues a breath that freezes men in fear, it fits the classic image of the Grim that haunts the lonely paths and crossroads of the countryside. Ceridwen treats it as such, calling upon its deadly strength and speed as it leaps in and out of the shadows to dispatch individual foes. And yet for some reason, she feels that this supposed beast doesn't match up to its ghastly reputation. Sometimes, she even thinks that those blood-red eyes look at her with something like melancholy within them...
  27.
  28. ...what was it that she had really seen that night so long ago, looking out from the window of her study to the dark hills of her hometown?
  29.
  30. Trwyth
  31. King of the Swine (Self-Proclaimed), Trwyth. Even among the infamous beasts that were the bane of heroes, Trwyth stands above them all in dreadfulness. It was the target of a great hunt instigated by Great Hunters and carried out by a local lord and his entourage of knights and allied nobles, which went on for many days on end and spanned across the countryside. Though its brood was slain and the three items embedded in its mane were eventually taken, it claimed the lives of numerous famed heroes but was never slain, which is something few notorious beasts of legend can boast. Naturally, a plunge into the waters would not kill the enchanted beast that crossed the raging sea.
  32.
  33. Equally naturally, it is not terribly thrilled to be under the command of a little girl, but its strong desire to walk the mortal realm again convinces it to tolerate the arrangement... for now. Delicate enquiries as to whether it truly is a human prince that was enchanted into the form of a boar have yet to be dignified with an answer.
