A little talk about plans

The old man just watched, as Sors plucked the soul from Clara's body. Something interesting and showing why Sors would be useful for what Aldrah had in mind.

"Okay, let's start with the Ranks, we currently have few Ranks in the Legion: Initiate, Knight, Warden, Paladin, Eternal, and Adjudicator.

But this is very simple and reminds us of old Dawn, but now we are 'Dusk', we must innovate and change the old for the better. Fix the ranks, organize them better.

Maybe even the creation of specific works, which will be given to some members." Aldrah nods to Sors.

One of the undeads brings him a chalk, where the necromancer readily picks up the chalk and goes to the board.

"Okay, we started with the question of the separation between an Initiate to a Knight, I think we should have a rank in the middle of both, because after all, Initiate is the rank of those who have just joined and Knights should already be for membersa bit more veterans of the Legion. I suggest the creation of the 'Troopers', which would be the basic unit, which is those Initiate who are already legion members for a year or two, that then become an Trooper, you know?" Every moment, Aldrah wrote down the names of the ranks and everything he said about them, on the blackboard, "It would also be appropriate to create a position for those who differ from the people of Dusk, but are loyal to we, and who could act as 'spies', who go to other settlements to get information for us. Na good name for them would be 'Crows.', simple name, ya see?" He stopped, dropped the chalk and paused.

The Adjudicator crossed his arms, listening to the points raised.

"We do hav' some ranks already made. We can also retire ranks too. Tha' Warden rank was made cause Artaghh wanted Jessi ta retain her power while not havin' active field duty. We can jus' hav' a Paladin b Warden instead o' tha' rank an' remove it whole.

We ain't need mor' ranks 'tween knight an' initiate. Initiate was 'spose ta b tha' ones under eighteen. Children an' tha' like who could b squired by a knight an' taught. Wit' tha' Auxillia established, we can retire tha' rank. We could jus' use trooper as tha' base o' our nation, but then comes wha' duties go ta which rank.

Also spies can jus' b spies. It shouldn't b an official rank in tha' Legion o' Nightfall."

Aldrah shook his head from side to side as he listened to what Sors had to say. His gaze shifted from Sors to Clara, then to Tenko and then to Sors, again and again, staring at their face.

At the end of Sors's speech, Aldrah just nodded and started talking again, "I see. Well, anyway, that was about the ranks for now.

Now for the other matter I have in mind and I needed to talk to you." He said, beginning to move toward Sors.

The old necromancer stopped in front of the Adjudicator and in a calm tone said, "Well, I believe those here are reliable to hear we talking about the statue.

Anyway, today the statue serves only to perform the 'perfection' ritual on our undeads, in addition to ensuring a field that prevents them from rotting, leaving the process much slower, correct?

But we still have the Light House problem, remember? So I would like to make some improvements on the statue! You are an expert on the subject of souls, so you are the most adept at helping me in this matter!

I intend to find a way to potentiate the field of effect of the statue, as well as to improve the ritual and who knows.. To make through the ritual, the undeads have their souls even more interconnected with their master necromancers!

That would increase their resistance against the effects of Light House, making they more loyal, would not it? What ya think?" He said, pulling some papers from his satchel, notes and other stuff.

How do ya expect ta do this, Aldrah? It's fine ta make plans, but we mus' hav' ways ta follow 'em through.

Tha' current statue's made from a whole lot o' thangs, but mos' notable, Arthur told ma it was made from angel feather. Tha's divine power. Ta make it stronger means ta get mor' divine power then we got currently. Do ya got shards layin' 'round, Aldrah? O' mor' angel feathers?

I know a whole lot 'bout souls, ya. But tha's mor' then jus' Necromancy knowledge. It's Nethradin, necromancy, rift, an' void. Ma abilites are a mix o' all these thangs ta create unique strands. Even this claw would b useless in tha' hands o' a master necromancer.

So how would ya increase tha' field?"

Clara had very little to add onto the discussion of ranks within the Legion. She wasn't even part of the Legion, technically. As a child she had boasted being the head of the Junior Knights, but that and of itself was merely a child's fantasy of being a hero for their home.

She continued to plan out her trip in silence, until the talk of souls came up. She paused, briefly, looking up from her own work to glance towards Aldrah and her Father quietly.

It was an interesting prospect, but Clara knew little beyond those basics of Necromancy. Then she suddenly glanced up, gasping,

"Wait. Father. The Fallen!" She suddenly declared, eyes widening. "Perhaps Akasha would help, if one were to ask him politely? I don't doubt Angels have their pride over their feathers, but surely something as this... A single feather...."

The old man turns around and puts some papers on the table, the papers showing the map of Dusk, where there were some spots marked with red paint.

"For the field, I was thinking of building pillars around Dawn, which would be intertwined with the statue, three to the total, each with a Spire Shard, ya see?

If I remember correctly, I read something about the Spire Shards, one time, that they have that power! Where we could use them as sources of power to improve the statue, you know?

I could search for them, with the help of the Legion, of course." He said, nodding to Sors.

On hearing what Clara had said, a flash came to Aldrah's mind! Dusk was now allied with a Fallen! Thus, they could get some of the power of that being in exchange for improving undead soldiers, after all they would be used for the purposes of the angel..

"It's incredible, Clara! We really could use the Fallen Angel's feathers! I believe that if we talked with him and explain what we have in mind, that this would serve our army better, he would accept it!

What do you think, Sors?" He said, his gaze turning to Sors again, staring into his eyes.

[04:05] Sors Ultovex asks, "I think ya'll 'xpect tha' fallen angel ta care mor' fer us then he does. Clara, remember tha' cave when he was asked fer help?"

[04:06] Tenko Ultovex says, "Perhaps we should aim for a full spire."
[04:06] Clara Ultovex says, "He'd probably mention something about humans, blah blah blah."
[04:06] Aldrah Leverd says, "We can always try. For this will benefit him, since we are allies and this will strengthen our armies."
[04:06] Clara Ultovex asks, "But does it hurt to ask?"
[04:07] Sors Ultovex says, "Ya are welcome ta ask him."
[04:07] Clara Ultovex says, "Would he strike down the one who asks? I doubt it."
[04:07] Clara Ultovex says, "... I hope, at least."
[04:07] Tenko Ultovex says, "If he notices Aldrah."
[04:07] Sors Ultovex says, "Ain't sur' wha' luck ya'll mite hav'. I remember Zariel's attempts ta snag attention."

[04:08] Sors Ultovex says, "I ain't want ta ask a divine bein' fer hand outs."
[04:08] Tenko Ultovex says, "He would more likely accept an idea fully fleshed out.. I believe the saying goes..."

[04:08] Sors Ultovex says, "I ain't worship gods o' angels o' anythang."
[04:09] Clara Ultovex says, "That's a fair point, Tenko."
[04:09] Sors Ultovex says, "It's true."
[04:09] Clara Ultovex says, "A full plan is required before we even think about asking him."
[04:09] Sors Ultovex says, "Helped ma summon a Nethradin prince when I knew how ta summon Nethradin. Hav' a plan fleshed out first."
[04:10] Tenko Ultovex asks, "Is our prototype still in the works?"
[04:10] Sors Ultovex says, "It is."
[04:10] Clara Ultovex says, "That new Prince is interesting. Mertaisyl almost ate him, though."
[04:10] Tenko Ultovex says, "Good. I want to see the opening of a full fledged stable portal."
[04:10] Mertaisyl says, "Mh.."
[04:10] Mertaisyl says, "Called me a.. pet."
[04:15] Tenko Ultovex whispers something.

[04:19] Tenko Ultovex says, "Weh do you want to eat me, Mertaisyl? Answer me weh."

Aldrah shrugged, they would try, it did not cost anything after all.

"Anyway, Sors if you see Nyphadora, could you tell her that I want to talk to her? Long time I do not see her." Aldrah shook his head from side to side.

Then, in an instant, his gaze focused on Tenko, "Now Tenko, do not misunderstand me. You did not manipulate me, but your speech helped me in the decision that I was making.

Lirien had always been rebellious, where when she was older, she proved herself to be even more rebellious and a stupid being. I tried to give her a chance to change, but do you think it worked? IT DID NOT WORK. I LOST MY TIME WITH AN FAILURE.

And then, I opted for the option that Sors said I should have done right from the start. Kill her, where I did it. And I do not regret doing it.

What happened after that? Matters already settled." He said, approaching the undead.

Tenko could feel a pressure around him at this moment, his skin freezing as Aldrah approached him, for the necromancer carried with him an icy air of death.

"So fox.. No, I was not manipulated.. But I thank you for helping me decide once and for all whether or not I should correct my mistake once and for all.

But I ask you not to commit mistakes again and do not test me." Aldrah smiled at Tenko.

The pressure then disappeared, together with the air of death.

"I think that's all, Sors. Thank you for your time." Aldrah nods to Sors.
