I suspect these pages take place before the Angel-Girlfriend fight, which might serve as more context for why Angel imitated the fight.

There's nothing inherently suggesting the girlfriend is in the wrong in this scenario. Although I think GF should do a better job of communicating her displeasures with Anon instead of bottling them away.

Anon is just operating under the assumption that everything is smooth sailing.

What other things would Angel be nostalgic for? Given when he lived, when the markets were a bit more isolated and there were more, smaller companies rather than big conglomerates with national reach, there could be a lot of stuff that he'd really have to go out of his way to find.
