  1. Jumping out of his seat, the being would clap his hands - subsequently, from inside the houses, countless types of automatons would come out carrying materials! Lots of iron and cobalt, which they would be using.
  2.
  3. Ingots.
  4.
  5. "Time to work." And in that, the being using arcane weaving would bring forward a suitcase with countless tools..
  6.
  7. While on the table he placed the schematics of the 'Mobile Base: Neptune', which they would use to guide themselves in this project! While leading the construction of this.
  8.
  9. "Masumi, Barelith - today we're going to be building the carcass, the base for this structure - as you can see from the schematics it's huge, extremely..
  10.
  11. We'll be working on it for a long time.
  12.
  13. At least we will have the help of the Drones, who will be assisting in the construction, bringing materials and performing other tasks - perfect don't you think?" He spoke while already picking up iron and cobalt bars, which he used with geomancy and his tools to start molding something..
  14.
  15. They had no time to waste, time to work.
  16. (Stolas)
  17.
  18. Wool says, "Do you want help?"
  19. Stolas says, "All help is welcome!"
  20. Wool says, "What I do?"
  21. Stolas says, "What you know about metal working?"
  22. Wool says, "... Nothing."
  23. Stolas says, "Then.. Assist Barelith in whatever he requests, he can guide you on this."
  24.
  25. And like that..the demon gets up and stares Stolas, really, fucking, confused. He looks to the many drones appearing with ores! Materials! Woooo, work.
  26.
  27. He takes...iron and cobalt as his hands start to release smoke, the scent of ores being smelted is soon to follow. "So, what exactly are we doing? I saw the paper, the blueprint thing but like, what do we need to do with it? The big plates around the thing?"
  28.
  29. And while the ores are being just melted to mix, he starts to...pull them all around the edges, like it's fucking playdoh..
  30.
  31. Wool, he's trying to make GIANT. METAL. SHEETS. And some will bend!
  32. (Barelith)
  33.
  34. Wool looks to Barelith eagerly. But it looks like maybe Barelith isn't sure what to do either? "uh...what do I do?"
  35. (Wool)
  36.
  37. Barelith says, "After Stolas tell us what exactly we're DOING. I'll tell you what to do, my blob buddy."
  38.
  39. Wool says, "Alright!
  40.
  41. At this point the empyrean was already building a bent column, which went from the ground to the sides like a giant U, made of cobalt and iron! Which would soon become a huge O once completed.
  42.
  43. He was welding it with a magic tool, which used his own mana for it.. Quite the useful thing.
  44.
  45. In addition to geomancy to manipulate materials more easily.
  46.
  47. "It is easy." He spoke as he worked on his part, "We will first be assembling the 'skeleton' of the structure, these shapes that provide the basis, initial step, for us to be able to build the plating..
  48.
  49. Soon enough.
  50.
  51. Which will be attached to such, which are basically supporting columns." With that explained, he went back to his work!
  52.
  53. As he molded the materials and finished the first one.. Automatons always came to their creator bringing the materials he needed, the ingots to be used - as well as the tools he needed.
  54.
  55. And so he continued, quite the sight.
  56. (Stolas)
  57.
  58.
  59. That was all gibberish to Wool. They need specific instructions of 'hold this here' 'bring this here' if you will get their head. They wait patiently!
  60. (Wool)
  61.
  62. Barelith turns to Wool after hearing the explanation.
  63.
  64. "So...the outside part first then the support beams."
  65.
  66. He nods and turns to Wool.
  67.
  68. "Wool, buddy. Get the ores." He points SPECIFICALLY TO IRON AND COBALT.
  69.
  70. "Melt them. Put them together." And he does so, since he also has fire magic and shows to the blob how to do it.
  71.
  72. "And then!" After it's mixed...sort of...and then, he starts to use brute force to pull the edges, punching here and there, smoothing it out with sheer strength and fire magic.
  73.
  74. "We make sheets! Quite thick sheets..but sheets, we bend them a little..." He bends them a liiiiittle bit...so they're a bit curved.
  75.
  76. "And ta-dah, we just have like, a hundred more to do now."
  77.
  78. He thumbs up and keeps working.
  79. (Barelith)
  80.
  81.
  82. Wool walked over to the ores, not really understanding how to melt them but they would try their best! They had never done something like this! They heat up the ores with their fire magic (not felfire unless its requested), start to melt them down and pour them into the place where the sheets were being formed. After they got the sheets all laid out they bent them in the way that Barelith had shown them. This was repeated many more times after the sign off from the demon was given for a good job.
  83.
  84. "WOW, I haven't done this much activities like this before! This is a hard game!"
  85. (Wool)
  86.
  87. This exterior part, as easy as it was, would probably be the most time-consuming step - it was a process that required repetition, but care was taken to produce great quality products.
  88.
  89. Yes, every part would need attention.
  90.
  91. Because, if they went too deep - they wouldn't want this structure to be weak and not withstand the pressure of the sea! This would probably end inappropriately for mortals.
  92.
  93. Not so much for the demons and Stolas.. As they probably can endure it, maybe.. Perhaps.
  94.
  95. "Truly, I do hope to at least finish a good part of this today, so we can start working soon on the more complex inner parts - which require in a way..
  96.
  97. A certain notion of artificery." He explained, but he didn't stop working.
  98.
  99. Automatons were going back and forth to the Empyrean and the place where he kept the materials offered by Ingvar, while he conducted the work! Such a loyal beings.
  100.
  101. And at this point he was already creating the fourth beam.. And they would probably need twenty for that giant thing! Organized properly, with connections between each - where the metal plates of the hull of this structure would be placed.
  102. (Stolas)
  103.
  104. And Barelith keeps taking the mixed ores from Wool and working on sheets. Thick metal sheets. He keeps humming to himself while working.
  105.
  106. "This is going to take hours." He says and nods to Wool, keep doing good job buddy. AND BEAN ARRIVED, WOOOO.
  107.
  108. "Stolas, think we can start putting the sheets together leaving some parts open for when we start to put the beams?"
  109.
  110. He asks and...starts to weld the sheets together, using the famed, Finger Gun with fire. And ocasionally going back to making more sheets.
  111.
  112. Repeated Work.
  113.
  114. Repeated Work.
  115.
  116. REPEATING WORK.
  117. (Barelith)
  118.
  119. Bean sat stop Barelith's head as he worked, emotional support or something like that as he patted their head like a bong. Harmlessly although.
  120.
  121. "Bwap, Bwap.. Work"
  122. (Bean)
  123.
  124. Wool keeps making sheets and bending them? Really not the type of work that Wool or the narrator is used to nor finds interesting. They just keep doing it and handing it off to Barelith to do whatever he is using it for.
  125. (Wool)
  126.
  127.
  128. Snapping out of her stupor, Masumi hops off her bench and approaches the group! Right, time to work. A quick glance over what the others are doing, and she gets to work.
  129.
  130. Flames of sorcerous fire, and the heat of conjured lava are used to melt ores, and with nothing but her magic, the young woman gets to flattening molten metal into thin sheets. One after another. Rinse and repeat.
  131.
  132. Thank god she's a geomancer, this would be a pain otherwise.
  133. (Masumi Jhen)
  134.
  135.
  136. "If you want to leave some parts already covered, you can do so..
  137.
  138. We're almost finished with the metal beams, so we'll just need to focus on the connection between them, in addition to a lower spacing..
  139.
  140. Because as I said before, we need an area in which we can regulate the dosage of water that enters the structure and leaves, to be able to emerge and submerge with complete control." He explained as he continued.
  141.
  142. As expected.
  143.
  144. Repeating work.. As expected! Until finally, he would complete that giant step, and in that.. He would use more of the metal to start creating the bonds! Extremely long that went at the top and bottom, as well as the sides - fused to the beams, bolted to them.
  145.
  146. "Don't you all find this work exciting?" He didn't, since he couldn't feel too much..
  147.
  148. But it was rewarding work, to say the least.
  149. (Stolas)
  150.
  151. As Wool keeps making METAL SHEETS. And Masumi joins the group!
  152.
  153. Barelith transforms his left hand into a hand-welder, as he now starts to weld the sheets together, one by one, taking care even.
  154.
  155. "No Stolas, this isn't exciting, at all."
  156.
  157. At least Barelith's honest. But he keeps working, the sound of the hand-welder working becoming even more repetitive than before.
  158.
  159. This thing better work, ROBOT MAN.
  160. (Barelith)
  161.
  162. Wool says, "Its extremely repetative."
  163. Barelith says, "It. Is. Boring."
  164. Stolas says, "It is a necessary work."
  165. Stolas says, "Otherwise we won't have anywhere to go."
  166.
  167. "...it's not very exciting, it's pretty - tiring, really."
  168.
  169. More and more of the wolfkin's mana is poured into making sheet after sheet, all passed over to Barelith or Stolas. Again and again. How fun.
  170. (Masumi Jhen)
  171.
  172. Bean says, "Exciting, Exciting, BWAP."
  173.
  174. Bean is definitely helping, or simply just getting in the way as they ooze onto the table.
  175.
  176. "Brrr... Brrr....."
  177. (Bean)
  178.
  179. After several, several minutes into the procedure.. The beams were all connected by links - the skeleton of the mobile structure was done, in addition to the lower area where they would make the adjustment to sink and emerge.
  180.
  181. Once the plating was done and they were working on the inner structure.
  182.
  183. Such, that would be at another moment.
  184.
  185. "Now, let's put on the hull! And just like that, we'll finish this part of the job at last." And then he would start hammering and shaping the metals, the ingots he had..
  186.
  187. And make them into plates! Which were then positioned between the links and beams, starting to then finally cover the large structure and giving it a true shape.
  188.
  189. More.. Repetitive work.
  190. (Stolas)
  191.
  192. The demon is now glaring towards the sheets and the Robot Man. With the sheets being prepared and welded to each other. The demon, again, using just strength, lifts them up and starts to help positioning the Hull of the Submarine.
  193.
  194. Once in place, he just looks to Wool.
  195.
  196. "Hold there! So it doesn't move!"
  197.
  198. And again, the finger-welding-gun starts to work to connect everything and make sure nothing falls apart.
  199.
  200. MORE REPETITIVE WORK.
  201.
  202. "....You know, once it starts taking form, this kinda looks like a big weapon."
  203. (Barelith)
  204.
  205. With the help of the demon, the automaton servants and the cultists - the procedure really had a faster pace than usual, which would take days for normal and alone people..
  206.
  207. They completed in hours!
  208.
  209. After a long time welding the metal plates to the skeleton of such structure, they finally had that complete the exterior part! As well some inner.. More basic things, not the complex.
  210.
  211. It was a beautiful thing to see..
  212.
  213. And notably, there was room for a large side window, as well as an upper hatch that would allow them to enter that structure.. As needed for something like this.
  214.
  215. Truly.
  216.
  217. There were two floors, the main and the lower.. In addition to countless rooms! It was something that was meant to literally be a submerged house - with enough space for everything they would need.
  218.
  219. First.. The control room! Then.. Dorms, living room with kitchen, storage room and machinery wing!
  220.
  221. Yes, Stolas considered everything.
  222.
  223. "And so, we conclude this stage.. We will continue another day." He explained, going now to rest beside the rest.
  224. (Stolas)
