I actually really like your plot as a concept - you have a nice thing going. You have good terrain, with a good variety of layers, and you have a nice looking palette. I like the slime and the lava; I get the impression this is like a radioactive/toxic area?

However, your plot does lack structure. A toxic themed structure often includes radioactive looking liquid, tubes, very metallic. Not modern, but very science based and futuristic. Make sure it includes a good amount of detail and depth. Maybe take a look at Blockworks style
