'Sup, doods!

Man, that Dr. Mario 64 tournament was something else. I don't know what was more impressive, Dr. Mario regulars like swong, dmhero, and floyd_1977 coming over and running circles around everyone else; or S1X getting the wild card spot over a regular like master_ibaar. By the way, if dmhero happens to come around and read this, I saw what you did at the Lone Star regional yesterday.  Congrats on taking home the win! Seriously, guys, go watch twitch.tv/thedrmc for regular competitive speed and versus Dr. Mario tournaments. I get distracted by them very often. Perhaps I should try to take part in a few? I don't have a handle on the NES DAS yet.

I did gain a pretty good handle for the N64 version, however, to the point of getting a much better personal best in Story mode. I'll have that on YouTube sometime this week.

With that out of the way, now the Tetris Attack tournament is on the horizon. It's always moving from one tournament to another for me. I still have changes I need to make to the broadcast layout for the tournament for reasons that will be revealed next week. I'm really hoping I can make the management of this tournament much easier for me to deal with than the last one and make the burnout from this tournament much easier for the players to deal with than the last one. I'm also hoping to devote more time to practice during this tournament. We'll see what I'm able to do.

Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:

Goal #1A: finalize broadcast layouts for the upcoming Tetris Attack tournament. I tend to get distracted and procrastinate. I just need to have this done. I probably won't be able to practice until I get this done.
Goal #5: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Maybe I do that part on stream? I still have not ruled that out. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. I definitely will NOT be able to do that on stream. I don't know if I can work on any of this during the tournament.
Goal #6: clean up my own stream layout. I am brainstorming how I want the final theming to be. I probably want to give people multiple options, maybe allow spending bits to change the look. I don't have anything written down yet. I don't expect to get to this anytime soon.


I am definitely playing Tetris Attack in some form on Friday. Whether anyone else will be around on Friday to join me is still up in the air.
