Pokemon Emerald manipless notes

This is a new route for Emerald manipless that involves getting the Ice Beam TM from the Abandoned Ship and the nearby Rare Candy. It saves about a minute in Winona's gym, 45 seconds on Tate & Liza, and 45 seconds elsewhere -- at the expense of about 115 seconds of extra movement. It is a considerably safer route than the old one.

LITTLEROOT TOWN
- Reset for 13/10/10, 13/11/9, or 14/10/9

ROUTE 103
- After rival, reset if you see 14/11/11, or 14/12/9 with neutral Speed

ROUTE 102
- Get early exp. with most Mudkips if opportunity arises

PETALBURG CITY
- Buy 5 Potions and 3 Repels
- Follow standard route until Rustboro Gym

RUSTBORO GYM
- Fight all trainers (second one first if got early exp.)

ROUTE 116
- Repel twice (skip Abra)
- Fight Hiker

RUSTBORO CITY
- Sell TM39; buy 2 Super Potions, 3 X Attacks, 2 X Speeds and 5 Repels

ROUTE 104
- Get exp. to reach Level 16 if you haven't yet

DEWFORD TOWN
- Enter the center to set deathwarp point

GRANITE CAVE - MAUVILLE CITY
- Follow standard Abraless route (skip Mauville Center)

- Get Elixer (to sell)

FALLARBOR TOWN
- Shopping:
	> Sell 1 Elixer, Nugget, TM34 and TM47
	> Buy 3 Escape Ropes, 16 Super Repels, 10 X Specials, 5 X Speeds, 4 X Attacks and 2 Guard Specs.
		- 25+ IV Speed should buy 11 X Specials and 4 X Speeds
		- <15 IV Speed should buy 9 X Specials and 6 X Speeds
		- 20-24 IV Attack should sell 3 Poke Balls and buy 9 X Specials, 4 X Speeds and 6 X Attacks
		- If you want a safer Petalburg Gym with 25-31 IV Attack, sell balls or buy fewer X Specials/Speeds to afford 5th X Attack
		- If you have <13 IV Sp. Attack, consider buying 4 X Specials and 8 Attacks (4 X Attacks on Flannery)

ROUTE 114
- Get Carbos with 4-5, 10-11, 15-17, or 19-20 IV Speed

METEOR FALLS TO MT. CHIMNEY
- Follow standard Abraless route

LAVARIDGE GYM
- Flannery: WG, Strength, X Special x3-6, Strength, WG x2
	> WG Slugma turn 1 with 14-31 IV +Attack nature
	> Torkoal generally dies to +3 Torrent or +6 non-Torrent

ROUTE 111
- Get desert candy (and Protein with some Attack IVs)
- If not poisoned, fight Hiker running around a rock and die to his Sandslash (Dig/Slash/Poison Sting)

DEWFORD TOWN
- Candy to L30 for Brawly (and Protein if you got it)

PETALBURG GYM
- Take left side unless 20-24 IV Attack
- Get <40 HP from Slaking

PETALBURG CITY
- Skip mart!
- Get candy, then bike to Abandoned Ship

ABANDONED SHIP
- Get TM13 (Ice Beam)
- Get Rare Candy outside ship
- Bike to Weather Institute (get Route 110 candy on the way)

WEATHER INSTITUTE
- On spinner bag manip, candy 3x to L36
- Consider stalling for Torrent on Mightyena if you don't have it
- Skip bed heal

ROUTE 119
- Get Elixer
- Rival 3: X Speed, X Special, Strength, IB, RS+IB+IB
	> Can go for +1 Surf range on Pelipper in Torrent

FORTREE GYM
- Teach Facade to Castform over Rain Dance
- Fortree Double: Surf+Facade Swellow, IB+Facade Xatu, Surf+Facade Pelipper (or IB+Facade)
- Tropius: IB
- Winona: Surf, IB, RS+IB+RS+Surf, Surf, IB

ROUTE 120
- Use 3 Super Repels through Mt. Pyre (before first grass, before Jessica, before Mt. Pyre)
- Get lake candy

MT. PYRE
- Facade Wailmer turn 1; if Attack is low at L26, Surf + Facade Wailmer turn 2

MAGMA HIDEOUT TO AQUA HIDEOUT
- Follow standard Abraless route

ROUTE 124
- Before Gyarados:
	> Candy twice to L44
	> Use an Elixer (or Max Elixer if you got it)
	> Heal to 41+ HP (Torrent) or full
- Gyarados: Surf+Surf/IB (Torrent) or Strength+Strength+Strength

MOSSDEEP GYM
- With ~23+ IV Sp. Atk, fight first battle as double (and second battle if in Torrent); otherwise fight all as singles
- Before T&L, heal out of Xatu Psychic range (but ideally not full HP)
- Tate & Liza:
	1: X Special + Powder Snow/heal (Castform dies, send in Swablu)
	2: IB Xatu + Fly/heal
	3: Strength Claydol (skip this turn if in high Torrent, or low Torrent with good Sp. Atk)
	4: Surf
	5: Surf

MOSSDEEP CITY
- Buy 11 Max Repels and 11 X Attacks (and 11 Hyper Potions if low on Energy Roots)

SPACE CENTER
- IB the L26 and L28 Mightyenas and the Numel
- Otherwise follow normal strats
