VGL 1 Dates 2013

January 15th - On this day, the first /srg/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!
February 15th - On this day, the first /dsg/, /scv/, /gsg/, /tf2g/, /lolg/, /d2g/, /ksg/, /feg/, /dng/, /3dsg/ (later rebranded as /nintyg/) thread were created. Happy Birthday!
February 16th - On this day, the first /twg/, /fgg/ thread were created. Happy Birthday!
February 18th - On this day, the first /smtg/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!
March 7th - On this day, the first /nepgen/ was created. Happy Birthday!

June 13th - /vg/ League 2 begins with a 0-0 goalless game between /scv/ and /npg/. This was the first /vg/ League to have 24 teams participate. ALSO /igg/ defeated /bfg/ 6-2 in their inaugural match. ALSO ALSO /rsg/ defeated reigning champions /dsg/ 5-1. Yikes!
June 14th - /lolg/ defeated /domg/ in their inaugural match 6-1. Yikes!
June 20th - /lolg/ defeated /civ4xg/ 5-1 to finish their group with 9 points and a +10 GD, going down as the best group stage finish in VGL history.
June 22nd - /vg/ League 2 concluded with a stunning finish by /dng/, who upset favored teams such as /lolg/, /npg/, and /pdg/ to claim their first title.
June 25th - On this day, the first /civ4xg/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!
July 15th - On this day, the first /pdg/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!
August 9th - /ccg/ was renamed to /igg/ and hosted several idle games besides Cookie Clicker.

December 14th - /vg/ League 3 concludes with /5N@F/ completing their cinderella run, defeating the #1 seeded /wtg/ 3-2 in the final.

VGL 4 patch 2015

February 16th - On this day, the first /meg/, /mgqg/ (later rebranded as /mggg/) threads were created. Happy Birthday!
March 17th - /mgqg/ was renamed to /mggg/, now hosting assorted Monster Girl themed games.
April 17th - On this day, the first /wotg/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!
June 5th - On this day, the first /mk8g/ thread was made on /vg/ after being moved from /v/. Happy Birthday!
June 12th - /vg/ League 4 begins. The first /vg/ League to host 32 teams. ALSO /@/ defeated /mgg/ 5-0 in their inaugural match. Yikes!
June 13th - /ssbg/ defeated /civ4xg/ 6-1 in the /vg/ League 4 group stage. Yikes!
June 20th - /dng/ performed a historic comeback against /aa2g/ to advance to the Round of 16. From 1-3 at the half to 6-3 at full time when a 2 goal win was needed to advance.
June 21st - /domg/ defeated /acg/ 5-0 in the /vg/ League 4 group stage to top their group. Yikes!
June 27th - /rsg/ defeated /dfg/ 4-3 with 3 unanswered goals in the final 10 minutes in the /vg/ League 4 Round of 16. Wow!
June 28th - /vg/ League 4 concluded with /dng/ defeating /hsg/ 2-0 in the final, winning their second title. ALSO /dng/ defeated /twg/ 5-1 in the Quarterfinals. ALSO ALSO /rsg/ defeated /nepgen/ 6-1 in the third place match. ALSO ALSO ALSO /dng/ became the only team to defeat the post-tournament final boss. Yikes!
August 3rd - On this day, /@/ was officially moved off of /a/ and confined to /vg/. Happy Birthday(?)!
August 17th - On this day, the first /hsg/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!

December 20th - /vg/ League 5 concludes with two teams with heavy momentum clashing in the finals. /ffg/ overpowers /ksg/ to win their first title, 3-0. ALSO /ksg/ defeated /drg/ 5-0 in the Quarterfinals. Yikes!

VGL6 patch 2016

March 15th - On this day, the first /bbg/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!
April 10th - On this day, the first /aog/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!
May 12th - On this day the first /ddg/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!
May 27th - The first /vg/ League Qualifiers were held, as this was the first time in /vg/ League history where 36 teams participated.
May 28th - /xcg/ defeated /rlg/ 5-1 in the /vg/ League 6 Qualifiers. Yikes!
June 3rd - /vg/ League 6 begins. Reigning champions at the time, /ffg/ had to have their match rearranged to play first despite coming out of qualifiers due to missing the export deadline. They defeated /5N@F/ 1-0. Also /llsifg/ defated /wotg/ 5-0 in the group stage. Yikes!
June 10th - /utg/ defeated /kspg/ 6-1 in the /vg/ League 6 group stage. Yikes!
June 11th - /hanny/ ends their historic group stage performance with a total  of 14 goals for, 17 goals against, and 3 losses.
June 18th - On this cursed day, PES16 revealed it's true form. /twg/ defeated /domg/ 6-1, /gerg/ defeated /bdog/ 8-2, and /aceg/ defeated /mgg/ 7-3 in the /vg/ League 6 Round of 16. Woof.
June 19th - /vg/ League 6 ends. /twg/ defeat /xcg/ 5-3 to claim their first title. Also on this day, /rsg/ ended the longest winning streak in /vg/ League history by defeating /gerg/ 5-5 in PKs in the /vg/ League 6 Quarterfinals. /xcg/ also defeated /aceg/ 5-0 in the /vg/ League 6 Quarterfinals. Yikes!

December 18th - /vg/ League 7 ends with /ddg/ defeating /xcg/ 4-1 in the final to achieve their first title. Also /xcg/ defeated /@/ 7-1 in the /vg/ League 7 Quarterfinals. Yikes!

February 13th - On this day, the first /agdg/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!
June 2nd - /vg/ League 8 Qualifiers were held, hosting 16 teams with five new faces and featuring the returns of /meg/ and /civ4xg/ who hadn't seen competition in 2 years.
June 3rd - /civ4xg/ defeated /pg/ 8-1 in the /vg/ League 8 Qualifiers group stage. At least /pg/ still advanced!
June 9th - /vg/ League 8 begins with a whooping delivered to /feg/, as /hsg/ defeated them 7-2 in the opening match.
June 18th - Exactly one year after the day of many blowout victories, /sog/ defeated /aceg/ 5-0 and a no where near as threatening as they used to be /ksg/ defeated /fgog/ 7-1.
June 25th - /vg/ League 8 ends with /llsifg/ defeating /lzg/ 3-1 in the final to claim their first title.
September 24th - On this day, the first /svg/ thread was created. Happy Birthday!

December 9th - /llsifg/ defeated /dbg/ 6-1 in the /vg/ League 9 group stage, It's Joke tied the record for most goals scored by an individual player with 5!
December 16th - /aog/ defeated /ksg/ 6-1 in the /vg/ League 9 round of 16. Yikes!
December 17th - /vg/ League 9 ends with /aog/ breaking through /gsg/'s wall of a defense and winning 1-0 to claim their first title.
