  1. Q: Why do you choose Gold over Silver for the speedrun?
  2. A: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/460442/entrpntr.mp4 (credit to entrpntr)
  3. -> It doesnt't matter which version you chose, I like the Gold sprites more than Silver sprites.
  4.
  5. Q: What does Any% NSC stand for?
  6. A: NSC means No Save Corruption. The current Any% route uses the bad clone glitch, which abuses save corruption, to beat the game. This
  7. is just an older Any% route pre-bad clone. It's way more fun so I decided to name the category No Save Corruption.
  8.
  9. Q: How are you streaming a gameboy game?
  10. A: I usse the GameBoyPlayer, a Gamecube addon which lets you play Gameboy games on a Gamecube.
  11.
  12. Q: How do you why do you wait before starting a New Game?
  13. A: I wait for a specific audio cue before starting the game to ensure I get a specific TrainerID once in game.
  14.
  15. Q: What is the TrainerID needed for?
  16. A: I have to have it to make the final exploit work.
  17.
  18. Q: What ID are you gonna get?
  19. A: 55774. You don't see it though because I don't check the TrainerID.
  20.
  21. Q: Why is Sentret used over Bellsprout now?
  22. A: Turns out, we just need a Poke that cuts and Bellsprout in the PokéDex, so catching Sentret is (on average) faster.
  23.
  24. Q: What do the box names do?
  25. A: I am re-writing them with Arbitrary Code. tl;dr, I'm re-writing some game code to execute later on in Goldenrod.
  26.
  27. Q: Why do you do you fight extra trainer's sometimes?
  28. A: Mostly depending on my stats, I'll fight an extra trainer to help for later which is just as fast but safer.
  29.
  30. Q: What are these spining trainers? And why do you pause in front of them?
  31. A: They are called spinners. Spinners are trainers that spin around in circles so then can be avoided. However, spinners in this game spin ridiculously fast. While you walk one tile, they can do a full 360° rotation. Pausing in front of spinners gives them a few-frame-window to not spin, thus giving me a slightly better chance (approximately 7 frames more) to dodge them.
  32.
  33. Q: But in later games they spin much slower?
  34. A: Spinners were added in Gen 2, and they weren't really well made. Later gen's spinners have their issues aswell though.
  35.
  36. Q: How good is your time compared to others?
  37. A: My current PB is 43:32, Pokeguy holds the best time with a 41:xx.
  38.
  39. Q: What is your goal time?
  40. A: For now, sub 41 minutes. Sub 40 would be the dream run but that's hard to achieve.
