  1. Braceface
  2. Sharon: *narrating* Even after me and Alden became a couple again 3 weeks ago and I thought anything was possible now, my life still seems to be in a downward spiral. Between the school year now nearly being overwith and summer coming up, having to deal with Nina and her new friend Winnie, having to do chores around the house every day, having to deal with my braces of course, and all sorts of other things, I was all worn out. I just wanted to get away from it all for one night. I just wanted... a vacation... a dream vacation.
  3. *Sharon is sleeping in her cow pajamas in her bed*
  4. *Sharon mumbles in her sleep*
  5. *glissando to dream but the camera stays in the exact same spot*
  6. *Sharon still mumbles in her sleep*
  7. *cut to a view of her bedroom window with the moon*
  8. *it suddenly becomes dawn and the sun rises*
  9. *cut back to Sharon in bed*
  10. Sharon's mother: Sharon! Sharon? SHARON!!!! Wake up Sharon!
  11. *Sharon wakes up*
  12. Sharon: Oh... good morning mom.
  13. Sharon's mother: Get yourself dressed, get your stuff you packed and come downstairs. You and Adam gotta get ready!
  14. Sharon: Why? It's only Sunday. I don't remember you saying we were doing anything today.
  15. Sharon's mother: Your entire school is going on a 5 day field trip to Miami, Florida!
  16. Sharon: Huh? The whole school? Every student? Those kinds of field trips are impossible to afford! Wait a minute... I never was told about this last night! I never even packed my bags last night either! Is this a dream?
  17. Sharon's mother: Not just any dream... you said you wanted a dream vacation to get away from it all for just one night, and here it is. Remember that in a dream, anything can happen.
  18. *blank stare from Sharon*
  19. Sharon's mother: Well what was your first clue that it's a dream? The fact that it's suddenly daytime? The fact that the principal won millions of (Canadian) dollars in the lottery and can afford such a thing?
  20. Sharon: Well, it was the first one.
  21. Sharon's mother: Like for example... *whistles*
  22. Lawrence, Roxy, Moishie, Pigger, and Samson all at once: Good morning Sharon!
  23. Sharon: Talking pets! Hey, if this is a dream, then where is my stuff you said I packed?
  24. Sharon's mother: Over there. *She points to her salon desk where her carry-on bag is sitting on top*
  25. *Sharon turns from looking at her carry-on bag to looking at her clock*
  26. Sharon: 5 AM? I usually get up at 7 AM!
  27. Sharon's mother: that's 8 AM in Miami. The principal wants us to get to the airport early by arriving in school earlier than usual. I just got done my shower and as soon as Adam gets done in the shower, you go in there and wash up.
  28. Sharon: Sure thing, Helen. *Sharon's mom walks away* *narrating* I got the dream vacation I said I wanted. It's like the sandman knows me.
  29. *Sharon gets out of bed and then Pigger stops her*
  30. Pigger: Afterwards maybe you can feed us?
  31. Samson: Remember that meat is essential to a dogs' health
  32. Sharon: I already know that. Just like how me and Maria are still friends even after Maria still isn't a vegetarian.
  33. Roxy: Tuna is also a cat's favorite
  34. Moishie: But we usually eat dry food!
  35. Lawrence: And that's made from vegetables and meat!
  36. Sharon: Don't worry! Mom's obviously remembered to feed you all!
  37. *Sharon closes the door*
  38. *Sharon walks downstairs*
  39. *Sharon is waiting at the bathroom door*
  40. *Josh walks up*
  41. *Adam walks out and takes his bags which happen to be next to the door*
  42. *Sharon walks into the shower*
  43. *cut to a shot of Sharon's pajamas dropping into a laundry basket* (her naked body is offscreen)
  44. *cut to a shot of the shower faucet sprinkling water* (again, her naked body is offscreen)
  45. *cut to the bathroom door with Josh waiting outside in his pajamas as Sharon sings "Rags to Riches" from the episode "The Good Life"
  46. Sharon: *singing* I went from rags to riches, it felt like more knights! Rags to riches, never felt so right!
  47. *Josh looks at his watch*
  48. *cut to a shot where Sharon's hand is turning the water off (yet again, her naked body is offscreen)
  49. *cut to a shot where Sharon is coming out of the shower with a towel on her hair and another towel wrapped around her torso going from the chest to her kneecaps*
  50. *cut to a shot where Sharon's hand grabs her folded clothes, first picking out her bra and panties (once again, her naked self is offscreen)*
  51. *cut to a shot where Sharon is combing her hair*
  52. *cut to a shot where Sharon is brushing her teeth in the exact same spot*
  53. *cut to a closeup shot where Sharon is putting on her hairclip*
  54. *cut to the outside of the bathroom where Sharon exits and gets her bags which also happened to be by the door, then Josh enters the bathroom holding his clothes*
  55. *cut to Sharon walking to the kitchen with her bag*
  56. *fade transition to Sharon having breakfast with her mom (Helen), Adam, and Josh*
  57. Sharon: So who's going to be here while me and Adam are away?
  58. Sharon's mother: Richard, David, the twins, your grandpa, Griffin, Marsha, her son Genesis, and Lauren
  59. Sharon: So a family reunion?
  60. Adam: They better still be here when we get back!
  61. Josh: Do we usually eat breakfast this early?
  62. Sharon's mother: I'm dropping off Sharon and Adam at school. They're arriving early to school because their field trip flight to Miami leaves at about 9-10 AM.
  63. *Sharon proceeds to eat her cereal*
  64. Josh: Why am I going in the car?
  65. Sharon's mother: Because no one else will be home, at least for now. Richard should be coming home as soon as we drop Sharon off.
  66. *transition to a view of a paper plane flying in the sky (signaling that this is a dream) then pan down to a view of the street where the Spitz's car is driving down the street
  67. *cut to inside the car*
  68. *Sharon and Adam are in the back with their carry-on suitcases and gym bags while Josh is upfront and Helen is driving*
  69. Sharon: How come Josh is upfront? Isn't Adam usually upfront because he's "taller"?
  70. Sharon's mother (Helen): Because I decided so. You and Adam are the ones being dropped off after all.
  71. Sharon: I'll be honest, this is a much better last minute vacation than the one to Windy Pines (referencing the episode "Twisted")
  72. Sharon's mother: Wasn't that also a dream?
  73. Sharon: Oh thanks for bringing THAT up. If I knew that were a dream before Dr. Hertz woke me up, I could've just hypnotized you into thinking Nina's a witch.
  74. Sharon's mother: Let's not go that far.
  75. Sharon: I was worried you weren't going to let me go to Miami again after the last time I went. (referencing the episode "Miami Vices")
  76. Sharon's mother: I did let you go to Italy. (referencing the episode "When in Rome")
  77. Sharon: I was gonna say something like that.
  78. Adam: I can't wait to meet up at Elkford High <with my beloved Hannah!> *<> = in a cutesy voice*
  79. Sharon: I can't wait to get there to meet up with Alden. Now that we're back together this will be our perfect honeymoon!
  80. Josh: If we had a field trip like this, it would just be a trip to the nearby lake. It's close to where your friend Maria lives.
  81. Sharon: Just why are we going to school on a Sunday though?
  82. Sharon's mother: Because the principal wants 2 extra days on this field trip, the first day being where you fly to Miami, the last being where you fly home. Thus the entire school week is spent in Miami
  83. Sharon: Why are we having this field trip?
  84. Sharon's mother: Because summer is coming and it's to help everyone be ready for any potential vacations they have
  85. Sharon: Isn't this supposed to be a fun field trip?
  86. Sharon's mother: Of course it is! Be sure to bring your phone on the trip. You too Adam!
  87. *Adam pulls out his cellphone*
  88. Adam: Good thing the principal told us all to bring our phones, especially since everyone in the school has cellphones.
  89. Sharon: It appears to only be around 7 AM. School normally starts a half hour later.
  90. Sharon's mother: We're here!
  91. *Sharon and Adam see Elkford High outside*
  92. Sharon: No one's here.
  93. Adam: We must be the first people to arrive.
  94. Josh: Better make sure it stays that way.
  95. *Sharon and Adam get their bags and run out the car towards the entrance of Elkford High*
  96. Sharon's mother: It's times like this that make me wish I actually took Sharon to Hawaii. Well, since this is Sharon's dream, i'm going to make an illegal u-turn now.
  97. *the Spitz's car drives in an illegal u-turn (as in turning around in the middle of the road) and drives away*
  98. *cut to Sharon and Adam running with their bags*
  99. Sharon: *panting* You're still, *breathing* good at... jogging, right?
  100. Adam: Sure I am!
  101. *Sharon and Adam run up to the doors with their bags*
  102. Adam: I really hope we're still the first people here!
  103. *the janitor (seen from the inside through the windows) unlocks the doors and walks away*
  104. *Adam and Sharon open the doors*
  105. *cut to inside the tall entrance room where Sharon and Adam walk up the steps carrying their bags (Sharon has her gym bag, her backpack, and her suitcase, while Adam also has his gym bag and suitcase) with them*
  106. Sharon: No one seems to be here.
  107. Adam: I guess you were right! I can't wait to see who's last.
  108. Principal McCalley: Why hello there! Sharon Spitz, Adam Spitz, you appear to have been the first to arrive for our field trip!
  109. Adam: Yeah, and we're in school on a Sunday.
  110. Principal McCalley: Follow me to the cafeteria! We'll all be meeting there.
  111. Sharon: But we know where the cafeteria is!
  112. Principal McCalley: Today that's where everyone is going to wait for the buses.
  113. *fade to the cafeteria*
  114. *Sharon and Adam are sitting at a table with their bags on a table*
  115. Adam: So what's for breakfast?
  116. Principal McCalley: (dressed in a Hawaiian floral print dress shirt and khaki shorts) I believe you already had breakfast at home. I'll go up to the front entrance and greet everyone who walks up.
  117. Sharon: We're still alone.
  118. Adam: Interesting bond we've developed tonight-I mean today
  119. Sharon: Yeah.
  120. *Sharon looks at Adam's watch and sees the time*
  121. Sharon: We've been here for 2 minutes. Anyone could be here now.
  122. *Sharon and Adam hear footsteps*
  123. Adam: Is that the janitor walking or is that someone else coming in?
  124. Sharon: uhhh....
  125. *the cafeteria door opens*
  126. *Maria shows up carrying her bags*
  127. Maria: Sharon! Adam!
  128. Sharon: Maria? I was expecting you!
  129. Maria: To think it's deja vu with the 3 of us heading to Miami... again! *as Maria puts her bags on the table*
  130. Adam: It's not just the 3 of us. There's Mr. McCalley over there.
  131. *Mr. McCalley waves to the 3*
  132. Adam: Plus there's more coming.
  133. *Alden walks into the cafeteria carrying his bags*
  134. Maria: Alden's here!
  135. Sharon: At the right time too. *in a romantic voice*
  136. Alden: So, when do we leave for our honeymoon? *Alden then puts his bags on the table*
  137. Sharon: 9 or 10 AM PST
  138. Adam: That's 12 or 1 PM in Miami!
  139. Alden: Just imagine our kiss on the beach.
  140. *Sharon envisions it with a beach at sunset with Sharon and Alden running towards eachother in bathing suits and then kissing*
  141. *glissando back to where Sharon is*
  142. Brock: Kiss? I was walking on a beach with Maria back at Enviro-Camp! (referencing the episode "Leap of Faith")
  143. Sharon: Oh boy, Brock's here already *on a shot of Brock putting his bags on the table*
  144. Brock: Hey Sharon, want to know the backstory on how this whole field trip was settled?
  145. Sharon: Of course I do! If anything can happen in dreams, there can be lore too.
  146. Brock: Well it all started about a week ago, *glissando to an outside shot of Elkford High* *Brock's voice becomes narration* and the principal announced it. *cut to a shot of a loudspeaker in a hallway* It didn't seem to be planned for longer in advance like our trip to Italy. *cut to a shot of a microphone in the principal's office* The only news we had at first was of an assembly in the auditorium, or cafeteria, to happen later that day
  147. *Principal McCalley's hand taps the microphone*
  148. *cut back to a shot of a loudspeaker in the hallway*
  149. Principal McCalley: *clears throat* Attention. Attention. Everyone in Elkford High is to report to the auditorium room for an assembly immediately. *cut to a shot of the hallway with various incidentals seeing the announcement* I guess none of you saw those flyers on the wall this morning with the announcement of the upcoming assembly.
  150. *cut to a shot looking down on everyone staring at the loudspeakers in silence with a cricket chirping in the background*
  151. *cut back to the speaker*
  152. Principal McCalley: It's a surprise announcement. What are you waiting for?
  153. *cut to a shot with a view of the hallway where everyone walks away from the speakers and down the hallway (obviously to the cafeteria)*
  154. *wipe transition to the cafeteria/auditorium where everyone is gathering and sitting down*
  155. Brock: *narrating* Then it was a full house in the auditorium as we waited for what the surprise was.
  156. *cut to a closer, front facing view of the audience where it pans to Sharon, Maria, Connor, Alyson, Alden, and Brock in a row of seats surrounded by incidentals*
  157. *everyone is talking to eachother*
  158. Maria: What do you think this means?
  159. Sharon: I don't know. I hope this doesn't mean another exam. We've had enough tests this semester.
  160. Principal McCalley: Alright. Settle down. *everyone stops talking and turns their heads to the stage* I'm proud that every one of you came here. I don't even know if there's any absent students.
  161. *blank stare from everyone, even Sharon*
  162. Principal McCalley: Heh, anyways, here's the big surprise you're all waiting for in this assembly.
  163. Sharon: Let me guess, ANOTHER big exam?
  164. Principal McCalley: No, no that, the whole school is going on a field trip. *closeup of his mouth* A tropical vacation field trip!
  165. *the whole audience cheers to the point hats are tossed in the air*
  166. Principal McCalley: Thank you, thank you.
  167. Brock: *narrating* That was the big surprise. But what we wanted to know now was, Where was it at?
  168. Sharon: Mr. McCalley? Where is this luxurious field trip to? The nearby lake? The school's own indoor swimming pool?
  169. Maria: Malibu?
  170. Connor: Key West?
  171. Alden: Vancouver Beach?
  172. Alyson: Cancun?
  173. Brock: Miami?
  174. Carmen: Jamaica?
  175. a caucasian male with sand yellow hair and a yellow-green and black shirt: Canary Islands?
  176. Nina: Santa Monica?
  177. a Jewish female with light brown and dove brown hair and a light purple long sleeve shirt: Aruba?
  178. Marlo: Hawaii?
  179. a caucasian male with light brown hair, a dark royal blue short sleeve button vest shirt, and a green metallic baseball cap: Bahamas?
  180. a Latin American male with jet black hair, a dark gray suit with blue undershirt: a cruise in the middle of the ocean?
  181. *everyone gets into a chatting frenzy with walla responses "Hawaii?", "Canary Islands?", "Polynesia?", "Miami?", "Cancun?", "Fiji?", "Key West?", "Jamaica?", "Santa Monica?", "Aruba?", "Rio De Janeiro?", "Daytona Beach?", "Caribbean Cruise?", "Malibu?", "Bermuda?", "Atlantic Cruise?", "Pacific Cruise?", "Gulf of Mexico Cruise?", "Vancouver Beach?", "San Diego?", "Maui?", "Florida?", "The Great Lakes?", "Key Largo?" and "Cuba?", as Mr. McCalley does a thousand yard stare of concern*
  182. *cue a sequence where there's a spinning CGI globe spinning counter clockwise, a full body front facing, thousand yard staring, bloodshot eyes Mr. McCalley, the words "Aruba", "Malibu", "Vancouver Beach", "Daytona Beach", "San Diego", "Gulf of Mexico Cruise", "Key West", "Miami", "The Great Lakes", "Cuba", "Rio de Janeiro", "Maui", "Santa Monica", "Caribbean Cruise", "Atlantic Cruise", "Hawaii"" "Key Largo", "Fiji", "Cancun", "Polynesia", "Canary Islands", "Jamaica", "Florida", "Ft. Lauderdale", "Malibu", "Bermuda", "Pacific Cruise", populating the background rapidly
  183. *3 shot zoom cuts to Mr. McCalley's face in the now large pupiled thousand yard stare*
  184. Principal McCalley: Settle down!
  185. *everyone quiets*
  186. Principal McCalley: We're going to Miami, Florida for our field trip. That's what I booked.
  187. *everyone cheers and applauds again*
  188. *Sharon is confused*
  189. Principal McCalley: Some of you may now wonder: How was the school able to afford this whole thing?
  190. Sharon: How were you able to afford it? Field trips containing the whole school are so expensive and problematic! You need chaperones for groups of students, you need money to have each student on board, some places can't have 300 or so extra people in one place, et cetera! That's why I don't recall as many coming to our Italy field trip.
  191. Principal McCalley: That's simple. I won the lottery yesterday and I was having trouble deciding what to do with the millions of dollars I won.
  192. *another blank stare from the whole audience*
  193. Principal McCalley: *sweating* That is, without having to buy a mansion and make the school only for the rich, so I decided to book you all on this field trip. I'm booking flight seats for all of you soon. This is also a good opportunity to get you all trained for any potential vacations you're having since summer is coming up and the school year is going to be over.
  194. a fat caucasian female with orange hair, a fern green newsboy cap, and glasses: But this is supposed to be a fun field trip!
  195. Principal McCalley: Well it is. I've got permission slips and flyers for everyone. *Mr. McCalley throws the hundreds of two-paper permission/flyer papers into the air and they all circulate like a tornado with CGI effects*
  196. *everyone is watching the vortex of papers from below*
  197. *the vortex then explodes, showering everyone with the 2 page permission/flyer papers*
  198. Principal McCalley: One 2-page permission slip per person, everyone!
  199. *everyone grabs the raining papers in a frenzy*
  200. *Sharon catches one*
  201. *Alyson and Connor both catch one*
  202. *Maria, Brock, Alden, and Carmen all catch one*
  203. *several incidentals all catch one*
  204. *Marlo and a few incidentals all catch one*
  205. *Nina and Winnie both catch one*
  206. *everyone is cheering as they hold up their papers*
  207. Sharon: So what do we do now?
  208. Principal McCalley: Give these permission slips to your parents, show them the flyers of things to do in Miami when you get home, everyone! Permission slips are due Friday!
  209. *walla: "Got you covered." "Roger that." "Sure thing." "That's nice now." "Okay." "We get the picture." "Can't wait!" "Gotta have this slip safe.", etc.*
  210. *Everyone then walks towards the exit to the hallway*
  211. Principal McCalley: What? No extra questions?
  212. Sharon: *offscreen* Are you going too?
  213. Principal McCalley: Why yes I am.
  214. Brock: *narrating* Over the next few days, we were all making sure we were well prepared. It was 6 days worth of slip signing, bag packing, money gathering, and school days where everyone seemed excited. *over a montage where there's Sharon, Alden, Maria, Brock, Alyson, Connor, Nina, Winnie, and several incidentals packing bags, getting allowance money, getting their permission slips signed, reading flyers, and talking to each other in school*
  215. *wipe transition back to the cafeteria*
  216. Brock: And now here we are. We're in school on a Sunday, just waiting for our flight.
  217. Sharon: Wonderful story.
  218. Alden: Of course, we had to put it there so you wouldn't be confused. I'm lucky i'm able to bring my guitar so maybe Mangled Metal can have it's first American gig!
  219. Brock: Me too!
  220. Maria: I hope they have some sound equipment and drums
  221. *Alyson and Connor walk into the cafeteria carrying their bags*
  222. Adam: Oh look, more guests.
  223. Connor: So this is our romantic getaway.
  224. Alyson: You got that right. Could you believe we're some of the first to join?
  225. *shot of Sharon, Alden, Maria, Brock, and Adam at the table*
  226. Connor: You're here already?
  227. Alyson: Who was the first one here?
  228. Sharon: Well, it was me and Adam.
  229. Brock: Welcome to the club!
  230. *Alyson and Connor put their bags on the table and sit down*
  231. Connor: I already had breakfast at home, just like all of you probably did.
  232. Alyson: Me too.
  233. Sharon: Could you believe that everyone in the school is going, and this is Nina's only summer experience, as she is going to be stuck in her summer job.
  234. Connor: She's training every Saturday, and we only have a few weeks of school left.
  235. *Nina and Winnie walk into the cafeteria carrying their bags*
  236. Alyson: *to the left speaker* Tell us about it!
  237. Winnie: Really hope we're the first ones here.
  238. Nina: Too late...
  239. *Sharon, Alden, Maria, Brock, Alyson, Connor, and Adam are all laughing*
  240. *Nina and Winnie see Sharon, Adam, Maria, Connor, Alden, Brock, and Alyson socializing at their table with their bags already on the table*
  241. Winnie: 8th and 9th place too late!
  242. Nina: *to the right speaker* Guess who's lucky to attend even with job practice every Saturday?
  243. Sharon: Even you, Nina Harper, somehow got your permission slip signed?
  244. Nina: I'm supposed to fly back early on Friday so I can get to training this Saturday.
  245. Sharon: I can't believe they let you go. They didn't let me take a day off from work at Life Cycles. (reference to the episode "Working Girl") I even went as far as faking an illness just to go on a ski trip.
  246. Nina: So where do we sit?
  247. Sharon: You and your new friend Winnie can sit at that table. Where i'm pointing. *Sharon points to the left from where she's sitting* *camera shows an empty cafeteria table*
  248. Nina: Hmph! (stock dialogue from various episodes) *Nina reluctantly walks to the table to put her bags down*
  249. *Winnie does the same*
  250. Alyson: It's times like this I wish I was never friends with her.
  251. Sharon: And it's times like this I wonder, why did I even want a summer job if i'm going to have so much fun on this field trip? Back when I was young I had so much fun on the beach. (reference to the episode "Clean Slate")
  252. Adam: And if I learned anything from the last time we were in Miami, I thought you hated the beach. (reference to the episode "Miami Vices")
  253. *Carmen and Marlo walk in carrying their bags*
  254. Alden: Hey Sharon, remember hearing sometime last week that Carmen found a new girlfriend?
  255. Sharon: Yeah? Enviro-Camp (reference to the episode "Leap of Faith") was like 3 weeks ago. The school semester's almost over.
  256. Marlo: I'm still friends with Alden after all.
  257. Carmen: Given how pretty much everyone in school has found love except me by this point, I needed love too, and that's where your ex. girlfriend, Marlo, came in handy.
  258. Nina: *sighs* Now i'm reminded of the fact that Griffin is not in Elkford High and thus, cannot come. I'm practically single on this field trip. *as Marlo and Carmen put their bags on the table nearby*
  259. Winnie: I'm single too.
  260. Nina: Oh well, cheers to a week in beautiful Miami, Florida. *pan back to Sharon's table*
  261. Sharon: Oh look, more guests are arriving.
  262. *at least 4 incidentals (a caucasian male with tan skin, blonde hair, and a red and black short sleeve polo shirt; a caucasian male with headphones, royal purple hair, and a dark gray jacket, a Latin American female with black hair, a pale pink tank top shirt, and hot magenta jeans; and a caucasian female with pale yellow hair, an orange tank top shirt, and magenta jeans to be specific) walk in carrying their bags*
  263. Maria: Now 15's a crowd.
  264. *fade to an outside shot of the school with cars arriving, dropping off students, which then transitions to a later shot with different cars*
  265. *then fade to an (obviously) later shot where pretty much everyone in the school has arrived and is in the cafeteria with their bags on the table* *Hannah is now next to Adam and several other students are now at Sharon's table*
  266. *cafeteria ambience*
  267. Sharon: Talk about a full house.
  268. Alden: I've seen bigger at our concerts. (references to various episodes such as "Miss Understanding", "The Loooong Weekend", and "Genesis")
  269. Carmen: You sure? I don't think we invited absolutely everyone from Elkford High to our concerts.
  270. Maria: Who isn't here? I can even spot my volleyball team over there.
  271. Sharon: By the last day of our field trip, it'll be Nina that's not here, she can't be late for her "summer job"
  272. Nina: *reluctantly* You got that right, braceface.
  273. Sharon: Let's go over the brochure. *Sharon takes out a brochure from her suitcase* They've got beaches, golf courses, amusement parks, luxury hotels and condominiums, tennis courts, aquariums, volleyball courts, restaurants, shops, all sorts of things! Let's not forget the activities they have, biking, golfing, swimming, volleyball, skating, surfing, snorkeling, basketball, all kinds of fun!
  274. Marlo: I could invent water hockey.
  275. Brock: They also have fishing!
  276. Sharon: Which, as a vegetarian, i'm NOT doing?
  277. Brock: Right.
  278. Sharon: When are the buses supposed to be here? Our flight leaves by 10 AM
  279. Principal McCalley: *walking back into the cafeteria* Attention please?
  280. *ambience stops* *everyone's attention goes to Mr. McCalley* Thank you. I've wanted to say this all week. I'd like to thank the man who helped me book all of those flight seats you'll sit in and the chaperones that'll help your groups. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Principal Ludwig of Mary Pickford Junior High! *Principal Ludwig walks up*
  281. *applause from everyone*
  282. Principal Ludwig: Thank you, thank you. Now i'm sure many of you may remember me. I see alot of familiar faces in the cafeteria right now!
  283. *Sharon, Maria, Connor, Alyson, Brock, Alden, Carmen, and many other incidentals are waving to him*
  284. *walla: "Oh!", "Hi Ludwig!", "Hello!", "Over here!", "Hey!", "Ludwig!", "Remember me?" "LUDWIG!!!", "HEY!", etc.*
  285. Principal Ludwig: And I see you, former Mary Pickford school president Sharon Spitz! (reference to the episode "The Election")
  286. Sharon: You remembered my name!
  287. Principal Ludwig: Mr. McCalley, I hope NINA HARPER hasn't drained funds from this field trip for copious amounts of makeup like she did with Mary Pickford Junior High's fall dance last semester.
  288. Nina: What? I DID NOT!
  289. Principal McCalley: She's right.
  290. Principal Ludwig: Heheh, just kidding. I know she hasn't. It's so hard to believe that nearly everyone that was in Mary Pickford Junior High last semester has graduated and moved on.
  291. Principal McCalley: Good for you, most of the students who were in my school last year are still here.
  292. Principal Ludwig: I'm not going to be on your field trip though. See you outside. I got a job to attend over at what some of you call your old school. *Mr. Ludwig walks away*
  293. everyone in the cafeteria in unison: Bye Mr. Ludwig!
  294. Principal McCalley: Anyhow, now will you please give it up for our field trip chaperones. *Whistles*
  295. *Dion (from various episodes such as "The Social Fabric"), Sophie (from a few episodes, such as "Skin Deep" and "Aliens"), the school makeup artist (from the episodes "Skin Deep" and "Lucky Break"), Daryl (from the episodes "Skin Deep" and "Second Thoughts"), Brock's mentor from the episode "The Social Fabric", Ms. Susan Clarke (from the episode "The Beat Goes On"), Mr. Rosenberg (from the episode "When in Rome"), Miss Rivers (from the episode "Identity Crisis"), Mr. Malamed (from the episode "Baby Think-About-It"), the sports coach from the episodes "The Coolest" and "She Got Game", among others walk into the room, carrying bags*
  296. Principal McCalley: You all will be divided into groups with each being lead by one of them. We've already sorted out every one of you by group. You'll all be grouped as we wait for the buses outside. *pan across the cafeteria from left to right showing everyone sitting down* Most of the activities will be done one group at a time, we've even made a schedule for that, however going to the beach is something all groups are doing together.
  297. *walla: "Ooohhh!", "Cool!", "Rock on!", "Totally exciting!", "Awesome!", etc.*
  298. Principal McCalley: I got hundreds of paper wristbands for all of you and each group will have "Elkford High Group" and their group number written on theirs. This is so your chaperone can find you when in a public crowd.
  299. a fat caucasian male with blonde spiky hair and an Elkford High school spirit long sleeve shirt: Couldn't any of us just yell out a chaperone's name?
  300. Principal McCalley: It may not easily work like that in the public. Now, i'm sure you've all packed everything you need for this trip. Money, visitor flyers, your phones, 6 days worth of lunches, 6 days worth of clean clothes, sunscreen, towels, bathing suits, sunglasses, sandals, anything you need. Raise your right hand.
  301. *everyone raises their right hand in response*
  302. Sharon: Mr. McCalley, what if there's a storm? Or what if it rains? If any of that happens during this field trip, it's so your fault!
  303. Principal McCalley: Oh don't worry about that. I've consistently checked their 7 day forecast on the internet. Beautiful, sunny weather all week. Don't forget that this field trip is also... my romantic honeymoon with my wife to celebrate our new wealthy lives. She'll be coming here any minute in the taxi that's taking her to the airport to pick me up, and when she does...
  304. *car horn heard to the left speaker, stealing everyone in the school's attention*
  305. *car horn echoes throughout the school, and even to a nearby street, thus there's 3 inside shots of the school hallways, one outside shot of Elkford High, and one aerial shot of the school*
  306. Principal McCalley: ...that'll be our cue to go outside and wait for the buses. APPARENTLY now I just heard the taxi driver honk his horn, meaning my ride to the airport is here. *everyone in the cafeteria starts to lift their bags from the tables* You can all wait outside now. *Principal McCalley runs away with his bags*
  307. *all of the students and staff in the cafeteria (including the chaperones) run out the cafeteria in a frenzy while carrying their baggage* *all sorts of commotion walla*
  308. *aerial outside shot of Elkford High, where Mr. McCalley (who appears as a shilouette due to distance) runs out first, then everyone from Elkford High (who also are shilouettes due to distance) comes out after him, as if Mr. McCalley is trying to outrun them and they're like an angry mob*
  309. Principal McCalley: OK EVERYONE, ORDER! THE CHAPERONES WILL GET YOU IN LINE SHORTLY! SETTLE DOWN! *all sorts of commotion walla from the students as they're wondering where the buses and the taxi are* *soon the commotion stops*
  310. Principal McCalley: My taxi should be arriving right about... *horn honks again, this time to the right speaker, stealing everyone's attention again*
  311. *cut to a shot of a taxi driving down the nearby street*
  312. *cut back to the school*
  313. Principal McCalley: ...now.
  314. *Taxi arrives at Elkford High* *Taxi pulls down window*
  315. Mrs. McCalley: Meter's running! So, your whole school is coming... as if they're family.
  316. Principal McCalley: *as he walks up to the taxi* Yep. While we're in luxury, the rest of the school will be having fun in the sun. They're going to be staying in a luxury condominium while we'll be in a luxury hotel! We're so lucky to have insurance.
  317. Mrs. McCalley: Lucky with the lottery you could afford the millions of dollars for every student to be in one condominium. They've reserved vacancies for all of the 600 or so of them!
  318. *Principal McCalley gets into the taxi*
  319. Principal McCalley: See you at the airport everyone! Mr. Ludwig is here to sort you out! Good luck!
  320. *taxi drives away*
  321. Principal Ludwig: Everyone, single file. Get your identification wristbands! One for everyone!
  322. *the chaperones (who are senior mentors or staff) get into positions*
  323. *every one of the 600 or so students get into a line, cut to an aerial shot where everyone appears to be tiny shilouettes, then the shilouettes go from a large cluster into a long winding line stretching from the track field area to near the parking lot* *Nina is first in line* *pan all the way to the back of the line* *Sharon, Maria, Alyson, Marlo, Connor, Brock, Alden, and Carmen are in the back of the line*
  324. Sharon: So how did we get in line so quickly again?
  325. Maria: Bedtime magic!
  326. Connor: I can't believe we're last.
  327. Maria: Sharon and I have been there. (reference to the episode "Take That!")
  328. Sharon: Even the school's elementary section is ahead of us, and their teachers were obviously hired to babysit them!
  329. Nina: These "groups" are going to be the same arrangement as our classes, right?
  330. Principal Ludwig: Not exactly. *Mr. Ludwig looks at the board* You're in group 1. That's with Dion. Here's your wristband. *Nina gets a specificly colored wristband put on her wrist and then walks up to Dion* Next!
  331. *Winnie walks up*
  332. Principal Ludwig: Group 1.
  333. *Winnie gets a wristband put on her wrist*
  334. Principal Ludwig: Next!
  335. *pan all the way to the back of the line with some fade transitions*
  336. Sharon: I'm confident this isn't going to take long. *everyone walks up*
  337. *fade to a wall clock inside Elkford High*
  338. *tons of (translucent) multicolored cel shaded CGI paper wristbands fall down the screen as the clock's hands move from 7:45 AM to 8:15 AM*
  339. *cut back to the outside of Elkford High where Sharon is now all the way at the front of the line and everyone else is in groups*
  340. Sharon: Shouldn't the buses be here by now? It's been 30 minutes already.
  341. Principal Ludwig: Mr. McCalley said the buses would be arriving by 8:30 (AM) and it's only 8:15 (AM). Looks like you're in group 1.
  342. Sharon: The same group as my friends, and Nina? Led by Dion? That group?
  343. Principal Ludwig: That was the plan according to this paper that he printed 3 days ago.
  344. Sharon: Well, my friends are there too, so i'm in.
  345. *Sharon gets a wristband put on her wrist, then walks up to her nearby group
  346. Principal Ludwig: I believe that was my attendance rolecall for this field trip, which is saying something as I don't even work at this school. These kinds of field trips never happen at Elkford High. Now the buses should be here in less than 15 min-
  347. *horn honks to the right speaker, stealing everyone's attention*
  348. *cut to where a bus is driving down the nearby street*
  349. *cut to the front of Elkford High, where the bus arrives*
  350. Sharon: Just one bus? You and McCalley expect about 600 or so people to fit inside one 22 seat bus?
  351. Dion: I wouldn't jump to a conclusion so soon.
  352. *several other buses arrive behind the aforementioned bus*
  353. Sharon: How many buses?
  354. Principal Ludwig: McCalley said there's 33. All from the city's school bus service.
