The earth is not a cold, dead place. It is alive, it is bubbling, it is brewing, and not just with blood and rage, but with tears of joy and sadness, with the first turned leaf of fall and the last warm spot in the middle of a frozen lake. The earth is continuing its slow, spiraling loop around the sun and does not mind that you are tired. It does not stop and look back to make sure you're keeping up. You can't not keep up, because you are the earth and the earth is you. You are alive with the same energy that created the universe, that smashed into the moon, and skidded to a stop at your feet. This power is inside you right now. Right now. It's always been there and will always be there. On your dying day, it with leave through your mouth at your last exhale and move into some new being.
