Gen 1 & 4 Notes

Fluttershy - Posey
Posey was busily planting new rows of tulips in her garden when she spotted a fierce grey raincloud overhead. "The rain will wash away my newly planted tulip bulbs and ruin my garden." she sighed. Parasol, racing through the clouds in search of a rainbow, heard her plea. "Don't worry Posey." Parasol Shouted. "I'll protect your tulips." Parasol jumped into the raincloud. She tossed her rainbow mane and tail and dozen of pretty parasols fell from the clouds to cover her tulip beds. "Thank you, Parasol" Posey said handing her friend a bouquet of her finest tulips.

Posey made her debut in the MLP Special, "Escape From Catrina", before becoming a main character in My Little Pony & Friends. Posey was the gardener of the ponies home, Paradise Estate. She had a love for flowers and pretty things, and was motherly to the baby ponies.

Posey loves her pretty garden and especially growing rows of her favourite tulip flowers. Posey's garden is under the magic rainbow which chases away the grey rain clouds so that her pretty flowers are always blooming.


Twilight Sparkle - Twilight
Long ago on one warm and misty night, Twilight wanted to make a wish. Her keen eyes roamed the dark sky. "I do not see a single star to make a wish upon," she said as she reared and pointed her horn at the moon. "Oh, dear Moon, please bring out a star for me tonight." Suddenly, the sky was ablaze with light. Every single star that existed shone down on Twilight. "Make your wish quickly, Twilight!" boomed the Moon. Twilight wished that all the stars would shine so bright on that same night every year. Now all the ponies come out to make their own special wishes on these starry, starry nights.

She starred in the first My Little Pony Special (aka "Rescue At Midnight Castle"/"Firefly's Adventure").

In the special, she was a kind, gentle pony that looked after Ember, a baby pony. She was a mysterious little pony who would occasionally appear to grant wishes after dark surrounded by a strange mist.


Pinkie Pie - Surprise
Surprise was traveling through the clouds and saw what looked like a rainbow far off in the distance. As she flew closer, she realized it was a runaway hot-air balloon flying frantically out-of-control. "Are you lost?" Surprise shouted to the giant balloon. Suddenly a head poked over the top of the basket. "Please take me home," pleaded Spike, Majesty's little pet dragon. Surprise gently guided the balloon all the way back to Dream Castle. Majesty was delighted to see her friend Spike and gave Surprise a royal "thank you!"

Surprise was a main character in the My Little Pony 'n Friends TV Series. She often played pranks on the other ponies, and liked to 'surprise' them.


Rarity - Sparkler
Sparkler stood out in the sun, admiring her collection. "It's so beautifully shiny," she remarked as she rearranged her glitter cards, gold coins and aluminum foil pieces. Sparkler loves shiny, sparkling objects. When the moon is full, she follows the brightest star in search of glittering trinkets. On the night of the last full moon, Sparkler found a glowing diamond. "This will be perfect for Majesty's crown," she thought. But Majesty urged Sparkler to keep the jewel because someday she might have a crown of her own!

Sparkler starred in the second My Little Pony TV Special, "Escape from Catrina". She collected all kinds of gems and anything glittery.


Rainbow Dash - Firefly
She was the star of the My Little Pony Special, which was named Rescue at Midnight Castle. She was presented as a daredevil who enjoyed racing across the sky and was the pony who originally brought Megan to Ponyland.

Firefly jumped on the wind and, soaring higher and higher, thought she might look for the rainbow. She knew it loved to play hide and seek. "I wonder where it's hiding today?" she thought. The wind whispered the answer in her ear. "Thanks for the ride!" Firefly said as she jumped off. She danced across the sky, sailing from cloud to cloud. Finally she saw the snow-crested mountain peaks. Nestled in the deep mountain valley was the rainbow. Firefly laughed because under the rainbow was Blossom, sound asleep!

Firefly loves to race across the sky. Moving gracefully from cloud to cloud, she dances on her graceful hooves and sails on the wind. She often chases the rain and searches among the clouds for the pony's special friend, the rainbow.

"Tearak, the evil master of Midnight Castle, kidnaps My Little Ponies and uses the Power of Darkness to turn them into horrible creatures. Courageous Firefly and her friends must journey to the castle to save the others and stop Tearak from bringing on the Night That Never Ends. Brave, beautiful Megan comes to Ponyland to help the ponies, and the magical Moochick gives them a locket filled with the Rainbow of Light to fight the Power of Darkness. Will Firefly and her friends get there in time to save the ponies and stop Tearak's evil plan?"


Applejack - Applejack

Applejack starred in the first My Little Pony Special (aka "Rescue at Midnight Castle"/"Firefly's Adventure"). She was one of four ponies who were captured by Tirek and turned into dragons to pull his chariot, though she would be successfully reverted.

She is portrayed as a clumsy and rather greedy little pony.

"Applejack loves to eat apples. It's in the fruit garden she has all of her apple trees, and she is the one who takes care of the garden."

"Applejack has invented a game, where you must catch apples with your mouth from a barrel full of water."

"She is bad at jumping, and she always manages to break down barriers."

Bubbles was racing down the hill looking for a muddy spot to roll in. She stopped suddenly and laughed. "What a silly sight," she said. Hanging upside down in a tree like a monkey was Applejack. "How did you get up there?" asked Bubbles. Applejack whinnied in embarrassment. "I was jumping for apples. I jumped so high that I caught my heels on the branch." Bubbles sighed. "Your appetite for apples is always getting you in trouble, Applejack!" Then she helped Applejack out of the tree, and was treated to a fine red apple from her thankful friend.

Applejack is a silly pony. She is always knocking over fences and looking over her shoulder to see where she has been. She loves apples and is frequently found in the Apple Orchard.


Majesty
Majesty is a unicorn and one of the most magical ponies. She can makes wishes come true when she twirls her magic horn. She lives in the Dream Castle with her pet dragon Spike, and lowers the drawbridge when friends drop round for tea.

Majesty had four magic horseshoes which could turn her invisible, as well as a crystal ball and magic mirror which she used to keep an eye out for danger to her little ponies.

While most ponies had very specific magic related to their symbol or interests, Majesty could work almost any magic with a wave of her magic horn and a song-spell. On more than one occasion she turned the enemies of ponykind into statues, trees, or simply caused them to bubble away into nothing.
