  28. content:
  29. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &2Today, in History of Magic we will be discussing one of the four founders of Hogwarts going by the name of &eHelga Hufflepuff."
  30. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &eHelga did some great things, she started the Hufflepuff house at Hogwarts which focused on accepting all students without preference, it is known that those associated with Hufflepuff are loyal and hard-working."
  31. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &2Now lets talk about Helga's early life. Helga Hufflepuff was born in the 10th century and called home to the broad valleys of Wales. Not much is known about her early life today."
  32. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &eThe name Helga comes from Helge, an Old Norse name derived from heligar, meaning 'holy' or 'blessed'. Their symbol is the badger, a large mammal related to the weasels with distinctive white stripes on its head."
  33. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &2And her last name, Helga had a knack for food-related charms. As for her last name Hufflepuff, it can be linked back to Helga's love for food related charms .'Huff and puff' can mean to breathe and 'puff' is the medieval term for pastries of which she specialized in."
  34. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &eMoving on to Hegla's efforts with Hogwarts, we can begin with her choice of the badger to represent Hufflepuff. The badger is known as a guide in Celtic Mythology. It also symbolizes, strength and hard-work, which Hufflepuffs are known for."
  35. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &2Unlike founder &eSalazar Slytherin &2she was a women of tolerance, and agreed to accept muggle-born students, bringing students from all backgrounds to help provide a welcoming home within Hogwarts. She also liked to advocate for the house-elves to help them get a decent working life."
  36. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &eUnited by the goal to start the worlds largest magic school, Helga Hufflepuff and her good friends &2Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin and Rowena Ravenclaw &eworked together to start the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry sometime around &2993&e."
  37. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &eIt is reported that founder &2Rowena Ravenclaw &ewas Helga's best friend out of the four founders, and Rowena herself also disagreed with Slytherin's ideas."
  38. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &eHelga Hufflepuff really liked food, a lot. In fact, many of her recipes are still used today for our wonderful Hogwarts Feasts!"
  39. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &2Along with her kindess towards students she also cared for animals, Helga arranged for the house-elves to work in the kitchens, giving them somewhere safe to work, where they would not be mistreated or abused, which was an ongoing problem in the wizarding world. This helped show her kind and open heart towards every person or creature, from any background"
  40. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &eBut success never comes without problems, during a time where the school was thriving with it's education, founder &2Salazar Slytherin &e proposed an idea that banned all muggle-born students from attending Hogwarts. Helga, and other founders disagreed with this entirely, but the argument got so bad that Slytherin left the school permanently "
  41. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &2To talk about Helga's home life and hobbies, Helga was quite a plain and simple woman, Helga's main relic was a small golden cup, that was passed down to descendant &eHepzibah Smith who feared the cup because it had many magical powers that she had not tested. The cup was stolen by &eTom Riddle &2only later on to be destroyed by &eHermione Granger &2in 1998 during the &eBattle of Hogwarts."
  42. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &eStudents loved Helga because she was known as a mother to Hogwarts, she was quite easy to spot out of a crowd, her appearance took shape of a round, plump woman with red hair and blue eyes. Who often sported a wide smile. She usually wore a brown or yellow dress at Hogwarts."
  43. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &2She was known to have a very unique wand that we still don't know the details of today. We can assume her wand was related to food, plants on animals in some way."
  44. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &eHelga was a very jolly woman who supported all forms of positivity. Still, not much is known about her love life, it is believed she never got married."
  45. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &2Helga was a woman who cared much about her hobbies, some of Helga's hobbies consisted of Herbology and Cooking. Hogwarts is known for having mostly Hufflepuff's teaching Herbology. For example, &eProfessor Sprout, &2who taught Herbology at Hogwarts from 1955 through 2014 was a Hufflepuff herself."
  46. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &eIn conclusion, Helga was a great figurine. She reflected all the qualities of the hard-working Hufflepuff house and still inspires many today.
  47. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &2I think that will do for now. I hope you all learned something new about Helga Hufflepuff, for now lets over some house point questions!"
  48. - "&5[&dProfessor&5]&l» &e&oLet's see what you lot have learned from today..."
