On finding the Stag Lord's fortress, the Greenbelt Expeditionaries scouted the area and

noticed that there was a trail of rocks to the west of the palisade, and a blind spot

in the guard postings to the southeast. Deciding to sneak around to the Southeast, the

heroes snuck forward to infiltrate the fort. They discovered that the ground around the

Stag Lord's Fortress was cursed with zombies, but Ruumis' magical talents took over two

of the zombies, then Esomid and Ruumis' minions slaid the other two. The surviving

zombies were dispatched and they fled to the spiked walls of the fortress before more

could arrive. Yuen and Nejnemii went over the walls with the help of magic; Nejnemii

turning invisible as he did so with Bokken's Potions. Esomid sneakily removed a hidden

stone passageway and led the others in underneath the palisade walls.

Esomid and Nejnemii snuck to the upper level of the fortress to try and stealthily

dispatch a pair of sentries, but Esomid was spotted before the ambush could happen.

Nejnemii cut down one sentry with a strike to the tendons and a push over the edge of

the guard tower. Combat broke out, with the guards becoming alerted.

Yuen moved to open the door to a room filled with angry grumbling, and a knife suddenly

flew out at her and missed her by a hairs breadth thanks to her magical enchantments.

The Stag Lord had been found, and though incredibly drunk, was alert and able to fight.

Nejnemii rushed forward to help Esomid, and let out a horrible scream that got the

attention of the brutish simpleton Auchs and the cruel fencer Dovan; two of the Stag

Lord's lieutenants. Bandits piled out of the woodwork to confront those on the ground

floor, while the surviving archer missed nejnemii with a shot. Auchs, broken from his

game of Dragons and Knights, lept off his open air home and onto the guard walkway to

flank Nejnemii.

Mattias entered the Stag Lord's room to confront him in single combat, slashing him

across his bare chest with his longsword, but failing to actually draw blood due to the

magical enchantment of the Stag Lord's fur armor. The Stag Lord laughed loudly, making

Mattias take a step back from the pungent smell of alcohal on his breath. Akiros, the

third of the Stag Lord's Lieutenants, stepped out of his hiding spot and tore the

amulet from his neck; throwing his lot in with the attackers to try and atone for his

crimes.

Esomid swung her magical sword at the bandit in front of her, striking him in the back

and cutting him open deeply with a well placed and powerful stroke while he was

distracted by the raging Nejnemii, while down on the bottom floor Ruumis moved himself

and his minions out to the courtyard to confront the minor bandits; discovering an

enraged Owlbear locked behind a steel portcullis that could be opened by tugging a

pulley.

The Stag Lord masterfully took a step back to grab his bow from the table and level it

at Mattias and Yuen. With a sudden burst of magic from the helmet, a pair of arrows

looked like they were fired, but in reality were magical distractions that let the REAL

arrows catch the two off guard. Yuen, once again thanks to her magic, avoided one

arrow. Mattias, on the other hand, took a sudden shot right in the gut that dropped him

below half health in one attack, due to the Stag Lord hating humans and knowing the

proper way to attack from surprise.

Yuen stepped in and swung her dueling sword at the Stag Lord, cutting into his chest

and breaking through the magical enchantment with one swift stroke, before magically

teleporting to his side and filling her blade with intense cold that would swiftly

strike at him again. Her magic swelled within the blade and coated the Stag Lord in a

layer of frost that slowed his actions down and would greatly weaken him for a whole

minute, while also doing much damage to him and chilling him to the bone.

Back on the guard's walkway, Nejnemii decided to ignore Auchs for the moment and strike

at the weakened guard with his whirling nature spirits. The spirits battered and

pummeled the bandit, dropping him to the ground as Nejnemii let out a horrible wail

into the air that further demoralized and terrified some of the bandits.

The bandits confront Ruumis' minions in front of the Owlbear pen; one throwing a hammer

that smashed some of the bones of one of his Tatzlwyrms, while the others confronted

the front line with shortswords that didn't manage to do any damage. The last living

archer nicks Nejnemii with an arrow. Dovan from Nisroch appears from his hiding place

and pulls the pulley keeping the Owlbear locked up; laughing cockily and telling his

"Allies" to run if they want to live. Auchs, now in melee with Nejnemii, levels his

crudely made Club carved from a piece of lumber with nail heads driven into it, to slam

it powerfully into Nejnemii's back. The young boy survives, but feels bones crack and

bruise from the weight of the strike.

Mattias wants to reach for a healing potion, but notices that he has none on his

person, so steps forward to try and confront the Stag Lord with his boar sword. His

sword connects for a second time, but finally manages to draw some of the bandit king's

blood in a swift diagonal slash.

Akiros draws a beautifully gleaming longsword adorned with the holy symbol of Erastil,

and lets out a powerful yell to throw himself into a barbarian fury; screaming for the

bear to come and die upon his sword. Instead of betraying the group, he stands shoulder

to shoulder with Ruumis in preparation for their new foe. Ruumis conjours up a ruby

knife to attack the hammer throwing bandit, while his minions cut deeply into the foes

they are confronting in combat; very nearly killing them.

Esomid decides to forgo melee combat and drops her blade; very nearly causing it to end

up in the posession of Auchs, but instead having the sword scatter off of the platform

she is on and go out of her reach. She draws the bow gained from slaying Tuskgutter and

fires a steel arrow at the remaining archer; hitting him in the shoulder and punching a

large hole in his leather armor.

Despite being chilled to the bone and literally having his back against a wall, the Stag Lord activates his Stag Helmet one more time to make Yuen become flatfooted to his strike. Mattias tries his best to stab the bandit to prevent the blow, but does not make contact, as the leader of the bandits draws a single arrow and lets it lose in point blank range with yuen. Yuen is caught completely off guard by such a swift and deadly attack, and the arrow punctures the side of her neck, dropping her to the ground. She barely has enough time to weakly mutter out that she is sorry, before going limp and dying upon the floor.

Having to deal with his own troubles, Nejnemii tries a bold maneuver by rolling between the legs of the brutish Auchs; striking him in the leg on the way by and then whirling around to throw a second attack at his back
