Hey!

My name is Meshulam Silk but online I'm known as moomoohk.

I was born and grew up in Hong Kong, China. At age 14 my family and I moved to Israel where I live today.

I absolutely love to program. I've been programming consistently since 9th grade when my computers class first started Java. I taught myself most of what I know using various resources but mainly the Internet (forums, Stack Overflow, the Oracle Java API).

In 10th grade I started a small project which over the span of two years evolved into a modest 2D game engine. I got accepted into a accelerated computer sciences program at the Weizmann Institute here in Israel and just last week handed my engine in as my "finishing project" which I got top marks for. Over the two years I spent writing my engine I learned quite a bit. I mastered normally tough topics like multithreading, GUI design using Swing, pixel level image manipulation and rendering.
I'm in 12th grade currently.

I speak English and Hebrew, both fluently.

I would love to work on Catroid. I loved fiddling with Scratch back before I knew Java so this is very much a combination of two things I really enjoy.
