- GDT Round 2
- Guy vs Potential
- Response 1
- Potential
- * Dimiria blitzes + kills
- * Enerjak has the ability to maneuver himself better, has repeatable power output quicker and superior to anything Nanoha has endured, and has the option to disarm her which she has no kind of defense against.
- * Mihawk should get turned into mist by any one of Acnologia's attacks, while his own attacks are much easier to avoid.
- Guy
- * imitria's strength and durability based on the tourney RT provided is highly questionable.
- * Black Bolt has access to several attacks via electron manipulation that would instantly take Dimitria out. He can preform them faster than she can click her teeth
- * nerjak cannot provably take anything like this at all.
- * Enerjak has no provable durability in this round, in order for it to be possible for him to win
- * Enerjak is not on the level of Nanoha
- * Enerjak dies in one hit, can't get through Nanoha's shields, and is almost certain to be hit due to Nanoha's speed boost.
- * Mihawk opens the fight by swinging his sword, creating an attack far too large for Ancologia to avoid.
- Response 2
- Potential
- * Dimiria is absolutely not weaker than Kagura.
- * Red cheeks are not scratched.
- * Does Black Bolt actually do things as fast as Guy claimed?
- * when presented with an attack actually equivalent to Enerjak's Nanoha does not demonstrate the ability to defend herself.
- * Teleportation makes Acceleration mode irrelevant.
- * In order to comply with my opponent's stated strategy and produce a strong enough attack, Mihawk leaves himself way too open to Acnologia likely gutting him or alternatively repositioning and transforming before Mihawk can swing.
- Guy
- * Dimitria has no provable strength or durability, her ability to damage Black Bolt in any context is highly questionable. If my opponent cannot provide better evidence for her strength being anything, this is not a winnable debate.
- * Dimitria is not a serious fighter and is unlikely to use her most optimal move first. Black Bolt is. Black Bolt will get the first offensive action, and it will end the fight.
- * Enerjak gets one shot, does not threaten Nanoha, and his utility options are totally useless. He is for sure doomed here.
- * Canon stuff
- * Mihawk can swing his sword at the start of the battle. Ancologia cannot close the distance before he does this, and he cannot dodge the attack after he does this. Ancologia has no feats suggesting he would be able to take Mihawk's attacks. He dies in the first move.
- Response 3
- Potential
- * Dimiria is a soldier and war general, she can match strikes that would bisect black bolt, and needs only to click her teeth to win, a timer Black Bolt does not know he has, and cannot match.
- * Not only has Enerjak survived an attack that destroyed more earth in what looks like far less than a minute, but the ten-second wind-up is the perfect opportunity to disarm her.
- * Not only can Enerjak teleport her to a good position for his attacks without needing to actually hit her with anything first, but trying to punch him will put Nanoha squarely in the range of this blast, which is strictly more destructive than spark breaker.
- Guy
- * Dimitria has no strength and no durability, she is a completely irrelevant combatant to Black Bolt, and poses no threat to him whatsoever.
- * Dimitria has no method of harming Black Bolt due to her lack of physicals, and no meaningful durability.
- * Enerjak requires way too many assumptions to assume he could break through Nanoha's shields. He has no meaningful win condition.
- * Nanoha mobility > Enerjak Mobility
- * At the start of the fight, Ancologia starts running forward and Mihawk swings his sword. The shockwaves of Mihawk swinging his sword cuts Acnologia in half. The fight ends
- Conclusion:
- Overall, I would say Guy wins.
- Potential does an amazing job in many respects, and I have to hand it to a first timer as throughout this debate, there were at least a few instances where my opinion was more skewed toward him. However, I think Guy covers up his own character's shortcomings, though I'll admit I wasn't a huge fan about the canonicity debate that sparked from both sides, but that's my own personal taste.
- Overall, I think Guy's picks were ultimately better than Potential's, and I wasn't really buying the argument about Dimitria being appreciably faster. Enerjak also suffers from some issues with stats.
