  1. --PART 2--
  2. “Ah” I choke out through my tears, wiping them away as I pull away slightly and rest my hands at her waist. “It seems I forgot to sleep tonight.”
  3. Monika chuckles and leaves her arms around my neck. “Normally I’d reprimand you for this, but today’s a special occasion, so I’ll let you off the hook this time, ahaha~.”
  4. Hearing her signature laugh in my ears was like bliss to me, and like a cloud over heaven, tears rushed to my face once more. I pull her into another tight embrace, which she happily returns.
  5. Monika pats my head a little, “There there Anon, it’s alright, I’m here now. You don’t have to be lonely anymore.” I sniffle and wipe my tears again. “Sorry, I probably look pretty silly right now. Do you wanna go get some breakfast maybe? There’s this great diner right near the school and-”
  6. I hear a door click behind me. I freeze. Monika freezes. My head slowly turns as I pull away from her to see that my roommate too, has frozen at the sight of this high-school girl in tears in my arms.
  7. My roommate, Tom, gives me and Monika back and forth glances and starts to leave the room to get an RA to complain to. Suddenly, Monika lets go of me and grabs his hand to get his attention.
  8. “W-wait!” Monika rushes over to him, quickly bowing her head. “Sorry, I’m Anon’s girlfriend, sorry we didn’t tell you earlier, but I’m going to be staying here for a bit. I had some trouble back home and came to the only place I knew I was safe.”
  9. Tom gives her a troubled glance, then looks at me perplexed. He shuts the door and looks at one last time. “Alright,” he replies. “Just, shocked me is all. Next time, text me, alright? Really do not wanna walk into you two goin at it or something.”
  10. “R-right, we’ll let you know, Ahaha…” Monika is obviously flustered by the comment Tom made. Smooth, Tom…
  11. Tom sits on his bed as me and Monika stand in the center of the room. “H-how about that breakfast?” Monika suggests.
  12. “Y-yeah…” I nod in reply, my mind starting to once again swirl in its own thoughts as we walk out of the dorm.
  13. I put my hand on my face and lean against the wall by the elevator. Monika notices my frustration and asks me if I’m doing okay.
  14. “Yeah, just, I don’t know…” I reply. “Anon, what’s wrong? Monika presses, “I care about you Anon, tell me what’s up.”
  15. “Well, I’ll tell you when we’re eating. For now, let’s just try to enjoy each other, like we used to.” I take her hand in mine as the elevator pops up. Unfortunately, I couldn’t focus on Monika, because there was one underlying problem that was boiling in my mind.
  16. What the heck is Monika supposed to do now that she’s here? I mean there’s barely enough space for two people in that dorm let alone three I can’t even let her out of the dorm because she won’t be able to get back in and we don’t even have any spare beds or beddings for her and OH GOD WE’LL BE SLEEPING TOGETH-
  17. “Anon, you tend to get wrapped up in your thoughts a lot, don’t you?” Monika asks me. Damn she was good at catching me doing that. “Yeah, sorry. I don’t think we can get breakfast just yet.” I stop the elevator a floor early and get off with her. “Aww, why not?” Monika whines. “Well, I guess I should tell you now. You don’t actually have a way of entering and leaving this building.”
  18. “W-what? Wait, so that means-“
  19. “Yeah, you’ll be in my dorm 24/7.” I finish her sentence, knowing exactly how she’s going to respond next.
  20. “But… but Anon, I wanted to spend more time with you, and go on dates, and…” Monika pouts a little, and looks to the floor. Knowing I’ve hurt the light of my life, I pull her into a hug. “It’s alright, we can still do that stuff given some time, I just need to figure out a way to sneak you in and out of the building.”
  21. Monika looks up at me. “What do you mean?” Monika asks me.
  22. “Basically, I can get into the building with my access key in my wallet, but because you’re not a student at this school, you don’t have an access key. That, and I’m pretty sure you don’t have an ID on you.” Monika goes to check her pockets, but then remembers she’s still in her school uniform and mutters a curse. “My damn creator never wrote in any form of ID for me, it was never in the script…”
  23. “Anyways, until that happens, you’re going to be stuck in that room.”
  24. Monika whines again, then sighs. “Oh well, at least I’m here, even though this situation is pretty screwed up. “I’m just glad my cute boyfriend is a pretty smart guy.” I blush when I hear this. “I haven’t heard anything like that in forever.” I reply.
  25. Me and Monika sit by a windowsill near the elevator and relax for a moment. As I try to think about a fix to this situation, I get a text message from my step-father.
  26. “Hey Anon, don’t forget I’ll be picking you up tomorrow! Hope finals went well!”
