Timing is everything!

Trotting back from town minding my own business, headphones in listening to a bit of Elbow I see in the ever decreasing distance my path becoming blocked by a large group of men.
Now it was easy to identify them as those of the football supporting variety so I braced myself for the inevitable Alpha Male routine of them not being polite and giving way or doing the shoulder gig so we can all make our way to our onward destinations....And I wasn’t disappointed 😏!

I’d jigged my way half way through this never ending group until I met shoulder to shoulder with Alpha Male 1 (AM1)!

Now I’m of the learning of standard British etiquette that, whether right or wrong in this abrupt physical meeting I apologise and go on about my business, which I did however I was met with the following from AM1.....
“F@ckin’ black c@nt! Why don’t you watch where you’re going!?!
Now AM1 was a bit of a unit and I’m not but his imposing stature seemingly this wasn’t enough as before I had a chance to protest another apology Alpha Male 2 piped in with
“Yeah f@ckin’ black c@nt!”
Swiftly followed by Alpha Male 3 dropping
“F@ckin’ Paki C@nt! F@ckin Peado’s!
This rapidly descended into what I can only assume was some Far Right sing song of “Who’s streets? Our streets!” Whilst I’m cornered in a doorway 😳!

I said not one word due to not only being confused as to how one of these gentlemen confused me to be of Pakistani origin but mainly due to the fact that a nice big, livered up, fully loaded, riot gear equipped police van had crept on the group during their impromptu sing song and whilst circling the noisy participants had heard just about everything they had verbally delivered to me 😊!

Brief statement later, 4 of many dealt with and me now able to unclutch my buttocks I’m relieved that in this occasion everything timed out right 😉!
