  1. Item #: SCP-4XXX
  2.
  3. Object Class: Keter Pr. Euclid
  4.
  5. Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4XXX is to be under constant flow of running water within its containment chamber at least 30 x 30 x 15ft with a magnetically sealable door and fitted with a sprinkler system that can be activated multiple times via chamber terminal. The door to SCP-4XXX’s chamber must remained sealed unless authorized for testing or for repair. In the event of a containment breach facility’s fire control system is to be activated and containment personnel are to wear full body armor when containing SCP-4XXX
  6.
  7. Description: SCP-4XXX is a 6 foot humanoid statue composed entirely of jade and looks like a mildly malnourished male wearing an oni demon mask composed of the same type of jade of the rest of its form besides ruby pupils.
  8. SCP-4XXX is considered to be sentient and dangerous; SCP-4XXX when under a source of running water whether via natural current or by a man made object, appears to remain in a dormant state in the last position it was in before coming in contact with a source of running water.
  9. If the current is to stop or break contact with SCP-4XXX, it will only remain dormant for only 10 seconds before become active. While SCP-4XXX is active it will seek out any and all organic lifeforms in a 50 mile radius, and attempt to come into physical contact with it. Upon physical contact with SCP-4XXX while active the victim will be turned into a solid statue composed of jade; no lifesigns have been recorded in victims after transformation. Note: contact with clothing or armor won't affect a victim, skin contact must be made for the transformation to occur. SCP-4XXX will remain active until a constant source of running water is re-established on SCP-4XXX.
  10. SCP-4XXX was discovered June 8th, 2018 after many reports of a “jade man” attacking and changing people in towns on Hokkaido Island in japan. 2 choppers loaded with 2 heavily armed dispatch teams and Dr._____ were sent where the entity was captured. See Retrieval Log Incident 4XXX-A for detailed mission log.
  11. After the successful capture of SCP-4XXX, it was to be sent to Site-45 for research after proper transfer equipment was fabricated and recieved. SCP-4XXX was promptly put into temporary containment until a suitable chamber could be constructed.
  12.
  13. Retrieval Log Incident 4XXX-A
  14. The information provided is a written document from an interview between Dr. _____ and Sergeant Myers regarding the the retrieval of SCP-4XXC.
  15.
  16. *sound of chair being pulled then sergeant myers sitting*
  17.
  18. Dr: Sergeant, I would like for you to describe the mission to retrieve SCP-4XXX
  19. Myers: *sigh* Do we really have to do this now… fuck we only got off the helicopter yesterday.
  20. Dr: Yes, sergeant we need this log as soon as possible to help us understand what its capable of.
  21. Myers: *sighs again* Fine… well we didn't have much to go on, just were told that it was potentially dangerous, like thats much help. When we arrived in that town there were alot of these, green statues in the roads with clothes on; at first we thought it was just part of the town as art but… it was way too quiet, and I mean quiet not a single sound from people or animals besides birds.
  22. Dr: what happened to the civilians of this town.
  23. Myers: Well we took closer looks at the statues and well… they all looked scared and seemed to be positioned as if they were running away. We put together whatever this thing was, it did this to everyone in that town.
  24. Dr: are you saying you didn't find any survivors?
  25. Myers: No… not a single one. We searched the homes, it was the same, statufied people and animals some doors and windows were broken. Showing people tried to hide...
  26. **Sergeant Myers sniffles**
  27. Dr: Myers? Are you alright
  28. Myers: there was a crib in a room with one of the statues, the family tried to protect their child but… we found another small statue in a toy chest…
  29. Well… after some time we continued our search.
  30. Dr: where did you find the subject?
  31. Myers: well we found it in a small running river, still and lifeless, at first we assumed it was another civilian but this statue was different. It looked malnourished and it was wearing a mask with gemstone eyes, i think they were rubies. The team called in the rest of the team and brought in a small containment cell dropped in by helicopter pre provided with dispatch.
  32. Dr: what happened when you tried to load it into the container?
  33. Myers: after what seemed like seconds the damn thing turned the 4 soldiers of dispatch team 2 attempting to load it into statues. It wasn't like a slow process it was practically instant and everyone opened fire on it.
  34. Dr: well? What effect did it have?
  35. Myers: Nothing! Not even a scratch, the damn thing didn’t even flinch and kept grabbing the team and changing them. By the time we got that thing back in the river all but me and the doctor were turned into statues.
  36. Dr: so it was a success?
  37. Myers: success? Success!? I watched 13 well trained soldiers all get turned into lifeless statues in 3 minutes. Not only that an entire town including a 4 month old child had been made lifeless.
  38. *Myers gets up out of his chair and grabs dr. ___*
  39. Myers: that thing killed my friends and you only care about the mission
  40. *myers was separated from dr. ___ and sedated and the recording was stopped*
  41. Sergeant Myers was later found dead in a I'm facility restroom, he had committed suicide using his own firearm. A small note which had the names of his lost team members and an apology to them was written.
  42.
  43. Addendum-4XXX-1:
  44. Based on information provided by Dr.___ and sergeant Myers, a proper temporary containment pod for transportation could be fabricated. The pod was a 5x5x8 titanium pod set up with a showerhead and recyclable water system that kept the water running during transportation and containment in site-45. All transformed lifeforms were transferred to a storage site in case they may ,in the future, display anomalous abilities. The town was burned down later and documented as a terrorist attack to civilians to cover up the existence of SCP-4XXX.
  45.
  46. Test Log-4XXX-001
  47. D-4612 and D-5111 were sent into SCP-4XXX’s containment chamber. D-5111 was fitted with sturdy, full body armor. Both D-class were ordered to approach, they both cooperated. The showerhead running water on SCP-4XXX was shut off manually via terminal and approximately 10 seconds after losing contact SCP-4XXX became active and approached D-4612 quickly as if SCP-4XXX preferred D-4612. Upon skin contact with SCP-4XXX, D-4612 was transformed into jade statue. The process was observed as almost instant. SCP-4XXX approached D-5111 and made an attempt to remove D-5111’s armor but gave up only 2 minutes in. After 30 minutes of nothing occuring the containment chambers sprinkler system causing SCP-4XXX go back into its dormant state and D-5111 was ordered to place SCP-4XXX back under the showerhead. D-5111 was recovered for debriefing after test completion. The statue remains of D-4612 was stored away in case it shows any anomalous properties in the future.
  48.
  49. Test Log-4XXX-002:
  50. DATA EXPUNGED
  51.
  52. By request of foundation staff this test log was to be expunged after the deaths of Dr.___ and Dr.____ as a result of this test.
  53.
  54. FUTURE TESTS ON SCP-4XXX MUST BE APPROVED BY AT LEAST TWO LEVEL 4 STAFF AS A RESULT OF TEST 4XXX-002
  55.
  56. Note: some proposed tests are under debate and review by level 4 staff. Proposed tests are ways to find methods to damage SCP-4XXX or a potential way to reverse the statue transformation of victims or prevent it.
