  35. scores, they do gain +1D to the performance of fine motor skills
  36. — picking pockets, surgery, fine tool operation, etc. — but not to
  37. gross motor skills such as blaster and dodge.
  38.
  39. Personality:
  40. While most Bith are pacifists, individuals may run a wide gamut. Finkin is somewhere in between. While he's ever uncertain of everything, especially as regards what direction is forward and how to get there, his curiosity has been seduced by the possibility of creating his own capital ship, potentially of a truly original design. He's willing and able to do whatever ordinary work is necessary, to the extent he's capable; few are better at maintaining astromech droids and Y-Wings, upon each of which he is specially trained in a short graduate program, which also included flight and an emergency astrogation formula for getting back and forth between two specific systems once one found his way there. However, in time he wishes to own and pilot a vessel far grander, with far greater capabilities. But first he will need a ship design, then a design for a drydock built to produce it, and the costs of maintaining a drydock *legally* are absurd, so perhaps building a brief, secret drydock to be sold later... and then he'll need parts and labor, and... well, there's always tomorrow.
  41. In many ways the idea of a capital ship capable of combat is strangely unimportant to him. Perhaps it would be built around a large ion cannon, specialty or no; they're hideously effectual, at minimal loss of life, which does satisfy a certain squeamishness he feels around the idea of harming others. Somehow, though, the idea of a minimalist capital ship, as small and specialized and wily as possible, far too entertaining to let go. The sheer intellectual thrill of determining what is necessary and what can be reasonably dispensed with, then building on from there, is how he spends nearly every four hours after his meditation when others are asleep, and may intrude upon other conversations.
