[06:11] The Kitsune looked at Iuria for a brief moment, then back at the white-haired woman.

"S-See... this Rakuza is what we call an agiota... or loan shark," she explained, gesturing with her hands.

"We made the mistake to trust him... and now we fear for our mother," Marina raised a hand to rub the back of her head.

"But it isn't fair to ask someone for a thousand crowns out of nowhere, that's why we need anything you're willing to give us..."

She clasped both her hands as if almost begging for it.

"Y-You understand, amiga?"

[06:13] With arms crossed, the youth's sight remains locked on the one who introduced herself as Iuria. Judgement is to be seen in his eyes, letting that be seen by everyone, not hiding it.

"Is there not a group that protects people in there? Not to be rude or anything, but would it not be wiser if you asked them? I don't know much about deceit but this stinks."

And it did indeed stink.

Bluntness displayed, he would not remain silent or anything, continuing on with words of assumption.

"Unless..they're lies?"

[06:16] Signe found their shifting story disconcerting. She wasn't one for games of misdirection, she merely spoke the truth as bluntly as possible. As such, she found it difficult to recognize. But a story that kept shifting was obnoxious.

Sh'zar and Yami both seemed suspicious of the other young folk however. The question remained, what to do about it.

"I find it difficult to understand why you wouldn't just say this story to begin with."

[06:20] "Amiga. I'm sorry, but I can't tell you anything more about it- that's. There's a loan shark in Barsburg that'll rip our necks if we don't come back with a thousand crowns."

She tucks her hands into her pockets, bringing their cloth out, showing that she has, at least in her pockets, no money.

"Is it hard to give us some crowns? Is it really that hard? We aren't lying. I admit, the mom's story was a lie, but the loan shark one is not."

[06:23] Her head tilted slightly. She didn't value money as much as most, but if she was to help Waylan, it had value for sure. A glance to the side, towards Yoshiko. Perhaps another perspective.

"Yoshiko, I find myself troubled. Could you give me some advice and a recommendation?"

[06:25] Signe Daman says, "Or Waylan, if you could."
[06:30] "It ain't easy admitting to have made the dumb mistake to trust a shark..." she kind of mumbled, but it could be heard.

Her eyes focused on Iuria for a tiny moment, before darting them back to Signe.

Marina herself didn't know exactly what to say, "W-We ain't gettin' another 'loan' ever again, obviously... but we need to pay this one... if we get back he will just ask more money outta us," she pulled out a few coins from her pocket, around 15 crowns could be seen on the palm of the kitsune's hand.

"Please, any amount will be a big amount for us."

[06:39] Yoshiko had just arrived with Alexios and she wasn't sure what the current situation was about but her tall ears had caught most of the conversation. It only took a bit of analyzation from the words that she heard alone.

"Certainly... From what I heard there is a loan shark within Barsburg that is asking you for... one-thousand crowns. If you don't something bad will happen to you and your family?" she inquires, seeing if she was correct on her analyzation.

The fox would make her way to walk in front of the two kin of hers and gives them both a glance. She didn't know what to think of people who were antagonizing these two. They were like her own.

"First... I'd like to know the name of said person. I don't want to think you're both lying but I only just arrived and only gathered the gist of the situation..."

[06:40] Alexios crossed his arms and leans back, he knew Yoshiko could handle things.

[06:40] Of all the words spoken, that one was probably not the correct one for the drakanite to hear.

Her eyes narrowed. But as she was about to speak Yoshiko entered with a more...nuanced approach. Her mouth shut. Yet she was tense at the mention of the drug, and seemed to be eyeing the three closely, just in case they attempted to flee or seemed to be carrying any of it on them.

[06:41] Sh'zar whispers: Not to intrude...miss, but I have seen these people being too friendly with the Barsburg militia..

Iuria downs her head a bit, holding it softly with one of her hands. Once again, she's forced to say the so-called loan shark's name.

"Trik. From Barsburg."

By keeping her head down, it's hard to see anything through her expression, in fact, it's actually hard to find her expression, there are just glimpses of her pale and shameless face.

"I was feeling down and decided to buy Sylvanum from him. I got a package- it was one-thousand crowns. I had no money and told him I'd pay later."

Sighing deeply, the foreigner continues- "But I couldn't find enough money. That's it."

[06:46] Yoshiko Taiyang whispers: That is what I am looking to find out, first.
[06:47] Bernard whispers something.
[06:47] Marina Lopes whispers something.
[06:57] "Trik..?"

Yoshiko knew who that was perfectly. From her days of watching over Anastasia while she was captive in Osrona, a single name was all that it took for her to know who they were talking about. Especially if it was a Razuka with a weird personality.

"... I know of them. They.. have a peculiar bit about them. I didn't see them as much of a loan shark-type but they are unpredictable. But there is one problem that you mentioned that persist.."

It was plain obvious and anyone who lived here long enough to know about Myllenoris' laws, they'd know what Yoshiko might be talking about.

"Sylvanum is illegal here in Myllenoris and Nysea. The usage of it will get you imprisoned for a while. Even if you are caught using it in Osrona, a place that allows it.

But again, they aren't are allies in any way. Quite the opposite. But I will let this go unseen with a warning. But again.. if you're afraid of getting punished for your lack of money to pay back to the one named, Trik. I suggest you don't head back to Barsburg or Osrona… Whatever it is called these days," she adds. Her expression appeared gloomy to see the young Kitsunes in such a predicament. If only there was a more safer way to deal with it. Giving them the money in question was smart but...

"... I don't necessarily want you both going back there."

[07:00] Idling in the back.

That much was Sh'zar doing, inspecting the expressions of the trio before him. The everlasting Aura of Storm was all too present around himself, causing the area he resided in to light up in a natural, blue light, not aggressively directed at anyone, however - it was just a habit.

Much was not said hence Yoshiko seemed to be handling this, but he was at the ready - in case anything was to come their way, he was ready to react.

As much as a child could, at least...

[07:03] Her arms crossed. She'd defer to Yoshiko on this for the most part but she had an addendum.

"You will be expected to hand over any other Sylavanum on your person to be disposed of."

By expected she meant forced, but ideally it wouldn't come to that. Her arms remained crossed as she looked at the three. Should they stay? She'd be keeping a close eye on them. If they proved to be willing to adapt she'd even take them under her wing to train, regardless of if they wanted to join one of the institutions.

[07:06] Iuria nods, kind of without the right words to answer the older Kitsune. While she feels thankful for getting no harm from them due to the illegal substance she presumably took.

Still, her frustration can't be hidden and through her expression such is visible. It's obvious she still wants the money- a sigh escapes through her half-open lips.

"... I'm glad you don't want to jail us for what we've done, even if we... deserve it."

However, although Yoshiko was weirdly nice to them, Signe breaks the otherwise peaceful conversation by throwing a demand- and Iuria, seemingly careless about it, merely shrugs.

"There's nothing of it on us. Don't worry. Perhaps we couldn't return there, but we kind of got friends there. Either way, thank you."

[07:11] Marina places a hand on Iuria's shoulder, looking at her for a few moments before looking back at the others, retracting her hand.

"It won't happen again... not worth it," Marina nodded.

When Signe mentioned that they should hand over any illegal substance they had on them, Marina proceeded to reply to the white-haired woman.

"I don't have any on me," she said calmly, pulling out her pockets, showing nothing but few coins, she then pulled her small brown bag and opened it gently, inside there was nothing but some dirty clothes and a coat - for wherever it gets cold.

When they finished looking inside - if they did - she would just hold it closed with one of her hands careless.

"E-Even if it's dangerous, it's still our home..." she adds to Iuria's words.

[07:19] Bernard emptied his pockets, revealing that he didn't carry any illegal substances with him and that all he had was a few coins and nuts he had found on the way to Myllenoris.

His vision wandered to Iuria and the lapine couldn't help but sigh disappointed, this time the kitsune had gotten into a big mess even for her history. He took her shoulder and pulled her close, whispering a few words in his mother tongue and the language spoken throughout Esshar, "E então, idiota? What are we going to do now?"

He had no idea what to say, Bernard at the moment just wanted to get away. It was not difficult to notice that he was uncomfortable with the whole situation.

"W-well, as you can see I don't carry any illegal substances with me."

[07:20] Iuria says, "--- hghh. We'll be on our way now."
[07:28] Signe prompted them to have any of the drug to be removed from their person but it appeared all three of them didn't have a single dust or speck on them. Yoshiko could tell they weren't lying in that regard. What did they have to hide? But she wouldn't stop Signe from searching them if they have to.

"Return...? I suppose you could. I can understand because you have friends and the like but.. it's still a dangerous place to be. Especially when they declared to attack one of the places I deemed to protect..."

She was definitely talking about Alabastre.

".. If you do return, however. I want you to promise something. All three of you... Don't fall to their tricks. I still suggest you live somewhere that isn't there. It's a place full of deceit and lies..."

The Illuminated Kitsune would reach over and gesture her tome in front of her. It'd fly to her front and open to a certain page where she'd snap her fingers and coin bag that should've been enough to pay of their debt. Maybe Yoshiko was too generous. She didn't seem to care all too much. "Hm.. How much was it?"

[07:29] She stepped forward as the bags were revealed to quickly check them. It seemed unlikely they'd really be dragging any around anyway. With nods she'd back off, giving them a slight uptick for their cooperation.

Ultimately their lives were their own, she wouldn't force them to stay, especially if the others weren't about to enforce the issue. But she would be keeping an eye out for them in the future, to see how they progressed.

The Dragon of the Stars was slow to forget faces after all.

[07:31] A murmur to his own self, "Well..that's a nice trick..", would be silently said, Sh'zar nodding a few good times in acknowledgement, attempting to pierce through the way Magic blends in with the physical objects, the pouch of coin.

However, he would not forget of the situation they were in, shortly after resting his hues on those before him, the trio of Beastkin. As passive as he was, he simply pursed his lips, either in confusion or thoughtfulness.

Ultimately, it was not his decision.

[07:36] Terhune settled down near the stone pillar. The youthful Osronan's gaze seemed to settle upon the impromptu public gathering. Golden hues gazing curiously, floppy ears twitching. Though, if one where to pay attention to the road-weary child he'd try hard to appear uninvolved.

Of course though they were clearly eavesdropping. Though, after a few moments of curiously staring at all the kitsunes, which he wasn't really used to seeing this many. What's more he didn't see any Razukan anywhere. Another oddity still though it was really green which is nice.

[07:38] As Signe and Yoshiko looked through the teens' bags in search of any potential drug, Marina kept her focus on Yoshiko, replying to them as calmly as possilb.e

"It really is... but I believe such hard times will make us stronger... or at least less dumb..." she forced a small chuckle, scratching the back of her head shortly.

Then, the trio was asked to promise something. As Yoshiko finished talking, Marina looked at the other two and for a moment thought about it.

"I promise... after what happened I don't plan on talkin' with shady people anymore," she said as her gaze returned to the older kitsune.

As she said this, a coin bag suddenly appeared and the red-haired kitsune suddenly gasped.

"--It's a Thousand crowns but... anything helps, really..." she said, looking back to the woman's face.

[07:44] "I promise you we won't deal with them anymore."

It was a blunt answer, on point. Then, she cocked her head towards Marina, agreeing and repeating. "Yes. Anything helps, senhora."

Her gaze doesn't deviate from Yoshiko- her eyes are shining, but are they shining in gratitude? It's hard to know.

"You can trust us, no matter how tempting it seems, we won't be dealing with this kind of drug anymore. Perhaps we can start to move soon- we just need time."

Noticing that Lopes seems way better when dealing with this kind of affair, she just gets quiet, letting the red-haired Kitsune lead the posse.

[07:51] Bernard says, "Mhnm..."
[07:52] Seeing as they most if not all of them promised to her, Yoshiko faint smiled as she was content with this alone. The coins would calculate to a certain amount in the bag as it gradually grew in size until it stopped a certain part.

"I can only lend so many since.. I have a wedding to prepare for soon. But this shall be enough to settle the deal with that rat and then some..." Yoshiko's tome would snap close before the bag of crowns would start to fall. That's when Yoshiko reached for it grabbed the opening with her hand.

"Here..." As Yoshiko handed them off, she peered at the two kitsune first. "Remember... You're both kitsune and Jiuweihu is always watching over you. You might not know who that is now but.. in the future you will."

Then, the Lupine was given her full attention. "I.. use to know someone who was like you. She was peculiar but also very astounding with her skills. Aspire to be the same, yes? Continue down a path of.. achievement."

Returning to rest her attention on all three of them, Yoshiko would lightly clap her hands and beam. "You're free to go.. Remember what I told you all."

[07:58] The red-haired Kitsune gestured for Iuria to take the coins while looking at Yoshiko from where she stood.

"I-I'm sorry to be a bother at such time... but I am in eternal gratitude..." she bowed her head, before looking at the woman's face again.

It was true, she didn't know who Jiuweihu was but... it was a name to keep in her head, after all, it was fellow kin who was saying that. A firm nod was given to her.

"Once again, I thank you," another bow was given, this time with her whole body, and then Marina was ready to leave, waiting for the other two.

[07:58] With a nod, she'd agree with Yoshiko, not that she'd publicly go against someone of her reputation without a particularly compelling reason anyway.

"Do you three need an escort back towards Osronan territory?"

An offer proffered to the three, though they were free to reject it. It was earnest, the wilds were dangerous, and demons snuck to this side of Esshar from time to time. It'd be simple enough to walk them to one of the bridges and ensure they could cross it safely.

[07:59] Iuria also briefly wondered what the heck is a jewwoohoo, but she quickly recalled from her childhood- well, while the teenager is not the most religious person, it would be rude not to accept those kind words.

But at this point, the bag is what interests her the most- with her blue gaze, it's hard to get her eyes away from that and an apparently naive smile appears across her pale face.

"That's nice of you- amiga. Obrigada, thank you!"

Through her thick accent, it is easy to notice her enthusiasm, but she allows Marina to grab the bag.

Before they were to depart, Signe made a proposal, proposal which got her confused primarily, but soon it's refused- briefly with her head, then with her words. "... I think it's safer if you stay here, you know."

[08:02] Bernard was relieved to hear that they could go, it looked like he was going to be able to get out of there in one piece. Once again he was facing Iuria and it was possible to notice his irritation with the kitsune, he was already getting tired of the trouble he was getting on because of his friend.

"Obrigado tia but Iuria is right. Anyway, thank you very much!" The lapine said with its characteristic strong accent, a small smile formed on his face.

He turned to look at his companions, asking them, "Shall we go?

[08:09] "You are all welcome.." She smiled at each of them before turning to Signe. A knight of the order. Yoshiko had a respect for them entirely so, she trusted her ability to escort the three as she suggested it prior.

"I think escorting them to at least the bridge on Starfall should be fine. It's safer for you and them at that point. Seeing as Barsburg is after me entirely, they won't be coming there any time soon knowing I rest there sometimes."

She'd look to the three. Yoshiko had, perhaps implicitly, given a request that Signe intended to follow up on. Stepping forward to the three and smiling slightly. Perhaps trying to be reassuring. It'd be questionably effective no doubt.

She was trying though!

"Shall we go then?"

[08:14] Apparently, they had no choice, but having no choice on that regard is not necessarily bad, so, Iuria gets ready to depart with that immense bag of coins.

It was heavy, heavier than she ever thought she would get working. Her focus is still on it as if watching so no one can steal it from her while on the way to Osrona.

[08:14] Unfortunately for the Lapine, the trio would be escorted to the bridge that connected this part of the continent with the other. Bernard stayed behind Iuria and Marina hoping they would be ready to follow the woman as he was a little afraid of doing something wrong.
