Just got back from AGDQ so the first part of this will be talking about that.
Good:
Overall enjoyment for AGDQ was my favorite GDQ that i've attended so far. Was due to all the homies. Sad we had to go but we can meet again. I do want to talk about my run a decent amount.
I ran Octopath (Tressa) at GDQ. The run was very good overall. I had a 47:57(56 so i can say i beat mamgar lol) which at the time of writing this is 5th place and only 2 min off of the WR. Luck was good and bad here and there but overall it went really well.
Not so Good:
I felt i went in a little too nervous for the run and while I think I got better as the run went on but i had some fun memes planned for friends but ended up not following through. Feels Bad. Obviously this doesnt take away from my performance of the run but would have been nice if i had been able to have a little more fun up there.
The only other con i can think of for the run is that the game audio was pretty low during it. I think there was a bit of miscommunication between myself and the tech crew. Octopath is not a loud game but it was blasting in the headphones and i guess when they lowerd it for me, they also lowered it on stream, making it really quiet in the vod.
Speed Plans:
Gonna try and stream consistently again for this year. Gotta build that clout yo.
Octopath:
Still looking to get 1 clean run of Tressa. Since my new reroute, I havent been able to pb yet so I want to do that to get a clean WR.
Also will probably do the same for Ophilia. Run is stilll not clean lost 2 minutes to multiple deaths throughout the run.
After I do these, I probably will be done running the game seriously. Happy I got the game into AGDQ and dont like grinding for insane RNG to get runs for the other characters. May do some challenge runs such as all girls.
Pape:
I might stop playing TTYD for a bit i left my memory card i think at AGDQ so i have no way to do it rn. This being said I will probably return to Paper Mario 64 to get sub 3 in All Cards. At this point I doubt ill go much farther than this since I dislike the routes and am a fan of the old pape boys.
MLSS:
Once i get my memory card back Im gonna get the 1:13. Will probably do the other categories again at some point bc the times are all pretty bad. I always come back to this game at some point.
