♧ background || ikigai was born to a royal family consisting of 6 members. each one of them are unique in their own ways. her mother is the kind-hearted one who balances everything. her father is the loud king who always jokes around the table. her younger sister, miyapi (11), is the most sophisticated and elegant in the castle and probably the one who has a dream of becoming the crowned princess. and her youngest twin brothers; ryota (4) and shoyo (4). ryota is the baby one while shoyo is the mature one. meanwhile, ikigai is the independent lady in the whole castle. their family is perfect. what else could you say? ikigai was born with the responsibilities already laid infront of her and all that she can do is accept it and do her duties as a princess. but ikigai is not like any other princesses, she doesn't need any prince to save her from any distress because she can handle herself. when ikigai was 8 years old, she was ‘abducted’ by a group of hooligans and the whole castle was worried for the young girl. the king ordered his army to do their best in finding his daughter and he even informed the other kingdoms about what happened hoping that they would help him. a week later, ikigai came back to the castle, still wearing her now dirty dress, while flashing that boyish smile on her face. the castle bursted into tears and happiness because the princess finally came back. they asked her if she is okay, made her wear the prettiest gown in the wardrobe, and even prepared a feast for her. they were so worried because they thought something bad happened to the princess but all of their mouths dropped open when the princess said the words “papa, i shot the hooligans using their own bow and arrow! i even saved a boy who's older than me! papa, papa, can i have my own armor and weapon too?!” and that was the time that they decided to treat ikigai as their kingdom's not so ordinary princess. they didn't held the princess' capabilities and strong personality because they believe that that will be their kingdom's own strength.

• independent - ikigai can stand on her own. with her mature skills and great capabilities, ikigai sure knows how to handle herself in different situations.
• fearless - have you ever heard of a princess who hunts bears? well now you've hear it. ikigai is the type of princess who fears nothing and no one except her mother. challenge her and she wouldn't turn it down.
• adventurous - ikigai has a heart of a true adventurer. she has wandered around the forests in japan together with his father's troops but she would always end up running away from them just to find and enjoy her own adventure.
• hard working - ikigai doesn't know the thing giving up. there is no time for procrastination in ikigai's world. everything needs to be done through hard work and hard work only. she doesn't believe that things should be hurried, instead, they should be finished to perfection.
• a great leader - their kingdom knows and acknowledges the woman's leadership. with her positive way of thinking, their kingdom will surely rise to the top once she is already crowned as the new queen. negativity is not allowed in their land because ikigai believes that it would only bring bad luck to their kingdom.
• exotic - ikigai is a woman who treats her body as a canvas. she has different tattoos all over her body and the most evident one is the tattoo on her neck that she got when she turned 13 years old. ikigai also tends to fix herself in the most exotic way which makes all the people fascinated and amazed by the unique beauty of the princess.

♧ what is your relationship with love interest before love interest? || ikigai met bang chan when he was abducted by the hooligans. you heard it right. ikigai wasn't the one who was abducted. instead, it was the 10 year old prince. the 8 year old ikigai was bathing at the nearby stream one night when she heard the aggressive footsteps of horses and a young boy crying for help. as the curious girl she was, the girl ran to follow them without minding if she will get lost at the end. the group of hooligans stopped at the middle of nowhere and tied the young prince to a tree. they made fun of the prince's pale skin and even planned on how they would make money out of him. ikigai's blood boiled for she believes that no one deserves to be treated that way and so she attacked them by grabbing one of the men's bow and arrow. surprisingly, she was able to defeat all men. well not really, because a boy suddenly came to help the young girl in defeating the enemies using his own sword. it was obvious that the young boy is skilled. when they have defeated all the hooligans, they freed bang chan from being tied to the tree. the boy thanked them until the three realized that they were already lost in the middle of nowhere. they tried to find their way out and had enjoyed each others' company along the way. in a week, they tried to survive in the middle of the forest, and they also learned a lot about each other. the only thing that they didn't knew was that the three of them are royalties. a crown prince from north sydney kingdom, a crown princess from nara, japan, and a second prince from daejeon kingdom (who is woojin). that time, the royal family of the sydney kingdom and the royal family of the daejeon kingdom are having a vacation/travel in nara, japan.

bang chan is the first one who found his place and as he was departing from the two, he addressed ikigai as his princess in shining emblem (as ikigai was wearing her great grandma's emblem that time). little did he know that she is indeed a princess. ikigai just smirked at the boy and told him that he should be already skilled and powerful the next time that they will meet each other. ikigai was the next one who was able to find their palace. woojin was then shocked when he found out that the girl was a princess. she just wave woojin a goodbye and left a peck on his cheeks as a sign of farewell and luck. she kind of liked the boy for a short period of time because of his captivating charm and skills compare to bang chan.

10 years later, bang chan and ikigai met again in ikigai's third cousin's palace. they recognized each other and ikigai was secretly amazed by how bang chan grew into a charismatic and respectful lad. not until she found out that he is the one who was assigned to marry her third cousin. she laughed at herself for thinking that she could have a strong relationship with the boy. she just shaked the thought off and just vowed to wait for the right man that will help her in ruling the palace— not that she needed any. it's just easier to have someone who's poweful too beside you to support you in your life's journey. and all that she could've think of at that moment was that boy who helped her save bang chan months ago-- who happens to be the second prince of daejeon too. who cares about bang chan? he is already arranged to her third cousin. there is no way that ikigai is going to barge in someone's wedding ceremony.
