It's basically Big Boss, with a little bit of Quiet thrown in. Prefers to work alone, or with a small support team. Will sneak into and out of enemy positions. He's a silent operator, prefers to strike unknown and disappear long before anyone figures out he was there.
Also makes use of other field agents, including Ryan Elmore and Max as support units. Hannah has been dropped on him and he finds her to be a liability.
His foes represent a challenge to each of his abilities. The Prototype challenges his martial prowess. Corrine Devoe challenges his organization, his authority and his capability of leading. Jason Roark challenges him, acting in almost every way his equal except in his superior stealth.
