FTB irc training by yours truly niel

1- Be polite do not yell or talk in caps

2- Do not ping ops or "popular people" ever unless someone needs to get banned/kicked

These are for launcher issues not in-game or server issues

FIrst question is

Mac or PC

If mac make sure they are using java 6----- http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1573?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

If PC make sure there JAVA 7 is up to date

Check 32/64 bit. Remove 32-bit on 64-bit systems unless user needs it for a reason.


Game issues
Have them go in the launcher and click "Force Update" in the options tab then run the game.
If the game still is not working(crashing) have them take their world savefile out (if they have one) and see if it works. If not, then move the FTB directory for the pack in the options tab to another folder. By this time we're normally into client issues anyhow.
