- LOVE COMES QUICKLY
- -------------------
- My first impression of it, judging by the title, was that love does not come quickly and actually takes time to cultivate or grow. The band has clearly just suffered a loss of a loved one and is now telling themselves that love does come quickly so that they can fill a hole in their non-existent hearts. Truly horrible.
- Now, I didn't actually finish it because I figured I could just search up the lyrics and read from there. Plus, visually it's just the same. A guy keeps rolling around his supposed cell in black-and-white, and then everyone's faces keeps turning up but it's blurry, either intentional or because they lack the required materials to film a high quality video. Guess they weren't that popular (or good enough) back in the day.
- Anyway, lyrics-wise, I stood corrected. Their views on love is that it is an anchor, weighing you down, a bad emotion to feel. How? The singer who got all the parts because he's too selfish to share it with his other mates sang the first sentence in a rather somber tone, "Sooner or later, [love] happens to everyone." Saying that love is inevitable and that it will be someone's downfall. Why do you think the expression is 'falling in love'? Because when you're falling, you're vulnerable. When you're falling in love, you're emotionally vulnerable. And the main singer sees this as a negative aspect, for he fears vulnerability perhaps.
- Whatever, this is all you're gonna get.
