  1. Subject: New Mayhem

  4. So, for anyone who doesn't know, out in Haverton there's a new champion. Haverton is a pretty big town; its champion before was Teri. It seemed that she could have ruled forever, but this new champion defeated her easily. The thing is, this new champion's name is Mayhem. Ring any bells? Yeah, that champion who very nearly defeated Channel's champion is BACK with a vengeance. But Mayhem has been dead for at least a decade. It seems impossible and yet they have the same armor, the same name, the same amazing skill. There's something I'm curious about, though...
  5. Mayhem had a very clear-cut style of fighting. They used mostly forward slashes, with lots of feints and dodges mixed in. This new Mayhem uses mostly undercuts and blocks, which Mayhem didn't seem to have the strength to do. They also never take their armor off, never speak, and their movements are calm and certain. Mayhem's movements were noticeably more erratic. When I went to watch the Haverton match, I kept seeing flashes of orange beneath their armor, mostly on their helmet. Mayhem had light green scales and red eyes. So...
  6. It seems like this is not the actual Mayhem. And though Mayhem was skilled, this new Mayhem seems even more skilled; I've compared videos of the matches and Mayhem had a few weaknesses that aren't apparent any more. Now, this could just be that they've been training, but how does that explain the other stuff?
  7. Who do you think it is?
  8. If you need more proof, just watch some of the battle videos. For comparison, here are some battle videos from the old Mayhem and the new Mayhem:

  23. Y? I think I remember the story too. My older sis always says it's just a myth, but I always though it was real. I think it was... Yana?

  36. im a bit late but yeah, yana had orange fur. there r some people who would be happy to kill a legend like her. if enough of them ganged up they might be able to take her down. she was always shown as invincible in the myths but her powers could be countered by someone like orenen, who has shown a hatred for all legends. maybe shes waiting to see if she has support??
  37. edit: now i realise orenen is missing, thanks for reminding me yall, but that doesn't disprove my point, there are still others who dont like the legends

  45. Woah, this thread blew up! Yana seems implausible, but so does Mayhem coming back, so I guess anything's possible. And I've seen some signs of Orenen hiding somewhere, seems like the higher-ups are concealing him for some reason. Maybe they know something we don't about Yana's powers. If you don't remember, they had something to do with tapping into the auma underpinning the world. It's possible they have another like her who's found some power source that would make her stronger than in the legends, pushing her into S tier and nullifying Orenen's powers. It seems like Yana is pretty up to date on the world, since this video came out about an hour ago with a statement from "Mayhem":

  47. In the video they claim that "Mayhem" wrote this:
  48. "Regarding the situation in east Elloweer, I plan to deal with it as soon as I secure my leadership." This is a very recent event! If we're correct and this is Yana, she would definitely have the power to destroy that thing. What was its name? Something like Yarrow or Yellow, I think. Depending on where its power stems from, and it seems to stem from the auma judging by the desolation that follows it. She must know about Orenen, since in the legends she was portrayed as being incredibly perceptive, and if I could figure it out, she could with ease. She must also know about his powers, so maybe she's waiting for a way to increase her powers or bluffing her way to some power source she found?

  52. I've been watching this thread for a bit and there's one thing you're forgetting. How, if this theory is correct, would Yana get ahold of Mayhem's armor? For the first half a year after he was killed it was kept in the castle. After that, it was stolen and found on the plateau on the Sambrian border, but while they were transporting it, it was stolen again and tracked to some old guy named Grigas' house. It stayed there for quite a bit, but just before they could find it the pieces were scattered throughout Elloweer somehow. We've only found 3, but a petition to leave his armor was started and people camped out around them, stopping the guards from either removing them or finding any others. So how did Yana sneak past at least a dozen people completely unseen?

  56. Sorry I didn't see this! Hatty, I believe I remember Yana having some kind of fast-travel ability. I've done some research and, as far as I can tell, there is an auma power line under every piece of armor that has been found so far. In addition, it seems they're all positioned over a hotspot, which is where she'd be able to come up. She likely figured this out, and it would have been simple from there to take it and defeat a few champions.

  60. smth i also wonder is why she let herself be seen. she could have easily worn a suit under the armor, but she didnt. does she want to be seen?

  64. As with hatty, I've been watching this thread for a bit, and I've come to a conclusion. This is Yana, but in a more diminished form. Less people believing in the legends means less power for her. Maybe she did want to be seen, but only by those smart few who put their heads together to figure this out.
