- The Swapper(PC)
- Story (2/4)
- you crash-land in an abandoned space station and try to get out while figuring out what exactly happened there.
- shortly you find a device called the swapper that can be used to create clones and swap your consciousness into them.
- one of those games where you have to piece the story by yourself from logs and notes. it is good but the twist wasn't as shocking as the developers tried to make it.
- Gameplay (8/10) polarization +1, -1
- you explore the space station while solving clever puzzles using one main mechanic.
- you can create clones that mimic your movement, and you can switch yourself into them.
- the puzzles are very well made. not easy at all, but never hard enough to become frustrating. just in the right difficulty to make you feel very good about yourself for solving them.
- another plus is the fact that you can solve every last one of them right at the beginning of the game. no items you need to collect and no backtracking. don't fool yourself thinking "it's unsolvable. i'll just get the dash/slide/super jump and than try it. because there is no dashes/slides or super jumps here.
- Graphics (1/2)
- interesting, kinda-new style. nothing ground shaking.
- Sound and VA (0.5/1)
- the dialogs aren't spoken clear enough.
- Replayability (1/3)
- two endings. sadly those are decided only by one choice just before it. you might want to replay the puzzles someday, because they ARE fun. but not while they still fresh in your memory.
- final score (7/10) polarization +2,-1
- if you like clever puzzle games. (think portal) than you'll like this game very much. otherwise, it won't be your cup of tea.
