background:
 ▬ hyejeong was the second child born to yoo minhyung and his wife, yoo haein. she was born two years after her older brother, myungjun, and quickly became the second heir to YOO ENTERPRISES, her father's technology company. as her father was a ceo of one of the biggest companies in korea, she grew up with a lot of money, and lived in luxury. her family owned a particularly large and expensive house in the gangnam district, which is where hyejeong grew up. hyejeong grew up pretty much surrounded by technology, which is how she managed to get so good with computers. her father was basically a computer softwear programers, and he used to teach hyejeong little tricks and shortcuts with their family computer whenever she asked. by the time she was ten, hyejeong was already a professional hacker, and while most other ten year olds were more worried about sport and dolls, hyejeong was breaking through professional firewalls. she got really good grades all throughout her schooling, as she was academically gifted in the areas of maths and physics, and graduated valedictorian of her class. however, people were rather surprised when she decided she wanted to attend an arts school after graduation, because she wanted to major in web designing and producing. her mother was rather annoyed, claiming that hyejeong was wasting her smarts on something "belong her", but her father and brother supported her full-heartedly. hyejeong first got into the merlins after she was approached by one of the higher ups, due to the fact that she'd managed to hack into the school systems and shut down all of the teacher's computers as an april fools joke. the merlins wanted a hacker like her, and when they found it she was the one to shut down the computers, they approached her and asked her to join their ranks. she's had a relatively easy life at the academy, and she is easily the top in her classes, as her programming skills are lightyears ahead of the other students (she's probably even ahead of the teacher).

personality:
 	 ▬ HAPPY → when you look at yoo hyejeong, she is the last person you'd expect to be involved with the business of the merlins. hyejeong is a happy go lucky person, who always seems to be in a really good mood, no matter what the occasion. just been splashed by a car driving through a puddle on the sidewalk? she's still grinning brightly. stepped in dog poo on your way to school? no worries, she's got a spare pair in her locker. hyejeong is constantly in a good mood to the point where it is almost creepy, because no one should be that happy ALL. THE. TIME. she is extremely hard to piss off, and seems to have an endless patience. if you're trying to find a way to wind her up, you're wasting your time. it takes a lot to piss her off, and if you actually manage to do it, she'll turn into the devil and probably traumatise you for the rest of your life.
	▬ FRIENDLY → hyejeong is a naturally friendly person who somehow manages to befriend almost everyone she meets. she can strike up conversations with just about anyone she meets on the street, and she always seems to be bumping into people she knows. hyejeong probably has the most connections out of all the girls, whether they come from her father's company, or simply because she's started talking to them after sitting down at the spare spot in their booth univited while getting her morning coffee. she is also an extremely chatty person, and could probably talk for the whole of korea if she wanted to. she never seems to stop talking, and could probably have a full one sided conversation with a wall. it is very difficult to get her to shut up, and a lot of the time her chattiness can be annoying because she has a habit of stating the obvious in situations, which really does nothing but piss other people off, because it is usually absolutely no help towards the problem at hand. she can also be a bit shameless, in the sense that she always says what's on her mind. if she thinks you're good looking, she'll straight up tell you. if she likes your jacket looks shit on you, you can bet she'll voice her opinion, no matter how much it offends you.
	 ▬ SMART and CUNNING → she is a very smart person, which is too be expected, being the second child to the former ceo of one of the top technology companies in the country. she's practically grown up around computers, so it is no surprise that she can literally hack through any firewall in the world without leaving a single trace. by the time she was ten, she could easily hack into any computer on a five mile radius, and by the time she was fifteen, she could very easily encrypt your hard drive without you noticing, and leave a virus that would clear all of your computer data. honestly, she might actually be one of the most dangerous out of the other girls. sure, she might not be the best in combat, but she can quite easily hack into anything ad steal all your information and use it against you. so it's probably best not to get on the wrong side of hyejeong, because she is the queen of blackmail. while she doesn't get very angry very often, if you piss her off, there is no guarantee that she won't bring up all your embarrassing experiences from the seventh grade.
	 ▬ DUMB → however, despite being academically gifted, hyejeong can also be a bit of an idiot – nevermind the fact that she graduated valedictorian of her school. she has absolutely no street smarts at all, and often has blonde moments and is prone to asking a lot of stupid questions. she is also a professional procrastinator, and tends to get sidetracked while doing tasks or anything not related to computers or technology. she tends to get bored while stuck doing boring paperwork, so it isn't uncommon for you to find her completely sidetracked by trying to complete all the levels of CANDY CRUSH again. ("just one more level and i promise i'll finish the paper work." "that's what you said ten minutes ago.")
	 ▬ FUSSY → she is an incredibly fussy person over the smallest of things, which can sometimes make her annoying to deal with. she is fussy over the sort of clothes she will wear and what foods she will and won't eat ("it's just noodles, hyejeong, hurry up and eat them." "no. i only eat noodles made by my mother." "they taste the same, hyejeong." "no, they don't.") but despite this, she is basically the group's self proclaimed "mum" friend, as she tends to fuss over people, and act like a mother to the rest of the group, despite not actually being the oldest. she is always making sure that everyone is eating enough and getting enough sleep, and can often be found going on coffee and food runs for the others (she doesn't know they that mostly send her because they want her to go outside, because she has a tendency to sit in doors for hours without leaving her "office".) she always carries around bandaids and napkins, and seemingly pulls them out of thin air whenever they're needed, much to her friends' amusement.
	 ▬ COMPETITIVE → hyejeong is a very competitive person, which is surprising, given her relatively passive nature. however, she has an underlaying want to win at everything she does. so it is probably a bad a idea to challenge her to anything. she will never ever backdown from a challenge because her want to win, and she'll probably either end up beating you, convincing you to surrender, or throwing a hissy fit. so it's probably just best to leave her be and not trigger her competitive nature. she is also a very clumsy person, and frequently has bruises lining her knees and elbows. she's not clumsy in a cute way, but more in a way where you seriously need to worry about her. she could find a way to trip over thin air, and she tends to either trip over a doorframe, fall off her chair, or knock things off shelves accidentally on a daily basis, to the point where her friends honestly think she can be a bit of a walking disaster, and are careful not to leave anything precious near her in case she finds a way to break it. she also has really bad hand-eye coordination, and is horrible at any sort of sport, because she's not very good at catching (this is why she likes wii sports, because it doesn't require any actual physical talent). she is a horrible driver too, and people often wonder how she managed to get her drivers license in the first place. most of the time, she is not the designated driver of the group, because it is safer for both her and everyone else if she is not the one behind the wheel.

 ▬ their meeting was a classic example of hyejeong's clumsiness. she'd been going for her morning coffee run one day, and he happened to accidentally bump into him on the way to school. somehow, she managed to spill her coffee all over him, even though it was in a carry cup with the lid still on. he was of course surprised, and more than a little bit annoyed, but he was rendered speechless when she quickly began to apologise, pulling napkins seemingly out of thin air and offering them to him to wipe himself down before blabbering out an apology and telling him that he was awfully good looking.

first impressions:
 ▬ HER: "hi i just spilt coffee on you - has anyone ever told you that you're really good looking?"
 ▬ HIM: "did she just spill coffee on me, oh my god how on earth did she manage that with the coffee lid on her cup?"

how they act around each other:
 ▬ at the beginning she doesn't really register that he's one of the sins, so she doesn't really treat much differently. however, when she does realise that he's a sin, she's kind of confused, because he never really seemed like one the first time she met him (not that it's saying much, because hyejeong seems to have missed out on the ability to recognise supernatural creatures at sight that all the other girls have). she's not really sure what to do at this point, because naturally, none of the merlins have actually been trained for a situation like this, especially not hyejeong because she spends most of her time behind a computer screen any way. meanwhile, he's kind of confused over the way that she acts because she straight up starts complimenting him despite the fact that they've never met before, and he doesn't really know how to take that because he doesn't really take compliments very well.
 ▬ however, at some point she kind of just forces him to basically act like her best friend, whether he likes it or not. she always drags him everywhere with her, whether it be to a coffee shop to get her caffeine fix or to the local post office to mail something off to one of her father's business partners. she takes him everywhere, and has a habit of just linking her arm straight through his and dragging him after her, talking about the most ridiculous things (he let's her do it because she looks cute). she claims that she only drags him around to "keep an eye on him", but everyone can tell that she actually enjoys his company. she's not really sure what the rest of the merlins plan to do with the boys, since technically they're in charge of getting rid of the supernatural. however, hyejeong doesn't really want to "get rid" of him, if she's completely honest, and she definitely doesn't have the guts to do it – she's in charge of staying behind a computer screen for a reason.

ONE. does your character dream? if so, what are they usually about?
 ▬ she has a lot of really weird and bizarre dreams that make absolutely no sense, and make her laugh at the ridiculousness of them when she's awake. she doesn't dream that often, and doesn't always remember her dreams, but when she does they often make funny stories to tell her friends.

TWO. it is raining (not lightly but not heavily, just right), what does your character do?
 ▬ if she's outside, she'll run for the nearest shelter to avoid getting wet. however, if she's inside, she'll probably grab whatever she's doing (usually her laptop) and go to the nearest window to watch because she really likes watching the rain, and she especially like watching thunderstorms.

THREE. your character has a choice between a knife and a gun and they can only take one or neither, what does your character choose? why?
 ▬ she'll choose the knife, because she's absolutely horrible when it comes to guns. she cannot shoot on target, and has a horrible aim, so in reality, she's completely useless in long distance combat. that's not to say that she's brilliant in close range combat, because she's still not very good, but she finds it easier to stab someone without missing that to try and shoot them without missing.

FOUR. what genre of music does your character listen to? how often and why?
 ▬ she doesn't really have a specific genre of music that she listens to, because with songs she either likes them or she doesn't, and all the songs she likes end up in one playlist. most of the time, her playlists are jumbled and have nothing in common, because she can go from listening to peppy pop songs to slow dance songs to listening to the HARRY POTTER soundtrack

FIVE. a jump-scare occurs in a horror movie! how does your character react?
 ▬ she jumps. if she's holding anything, she'll probably throw it, and she's been known to accidentally smack whoever is sitting next to her. but whenever people turn to look at her, she will be adamant on the fact that she was not scared. no way.

SIX. there is a kitten meowing in a dark alleyway; it is late at night and your character needs to catch the bus, but it sounds desperate. what does your character do?
 ▬ hyejeong would go after the kitten, because she has an extreme soft spot for cats, and would probably never forgive herself if she left it there. however, she'd only go after it because it was a cat. if it was a dog, she'd probably just go and catch the bus, because there's not much she can do anyway being allergic to dog fur.

SEVEN. what sort of apps does your character have on their phone?
 ▬ CANDY CRUSH – she's beat the game and now takes other people's phones to play it
 ▬ FLAPPY BIRD – it's an addicting game
 ▬ SOLITAIRE – she plays it when she's bored
 ▬ any other addictive mini game style apps

EIGHT. if your character was not a merlin, how do you think their life would be?
 ▬ i don't think she'd be much different, and she'd still be very nifty when it came to computers and technology. if it weren't for being a merlin, she'd probably either be working under her family's company YOO ENTERPRISES, or she'd be a hacker for the police to help them trace down criminals.

 ▬ someone challenges hyejeong to a shot competition, and hyejeong being hyejeong refuses to back down and ends up getting drunk off her ass, and as it happens she's still a very talkative drunk and she keeps complimenting her love interest about ridiculous things ("your shirt is attractive" "you have a nice jawline" "your eyes are pretty) and has to be dragged away by DEAR NAME before she does anything else embarrassing
 ▬ hyejeong stealing all of her friends' phones to play candy crush and getting really frustrated when she can't beat the levels to the point of wanting to throw whoever's phone she has out of the window
 ▬ all of the merlins trying to discuss a plan of action in one of the school bathrooms or something, and all seven of them are trying to cram in to the small open space near the sinks, while blocking the door to make sure no one else walks in while they're discussing important details
