Hey all. I'm going to keep this as short and drama-free as possible. I'm no longer associated with FurPunch, and as such, the island will no longer be as well. I'll try to predict and answer your questions as best as I can, but if you have any others, please do not hesitate to ask me directly.

- Is the island shutting down?
No. I made a promise to people here that this island would stay up for a while. I made a relatively specific commitment of one year a few months ago, and I intend to make good on that commitment at minimum, but plan for more. The only thing that can bring the island down before that is me losing my job or other severe and unforeseen financial hardship, and I'm doing okay for now.

- Will I lose my land?
No. If you have land, you will keep it, as it is. Only one person lost land in this event, and there's extenuating circumstances that caused this. No other person will lose land on the island short of violating the region covenant.

- What will change?
The island's getting a new name and some minor facelifts to reflect that. The covenant will be adjusted slightly to remove its association with FurPunch, and the land claiming qualifications will now change slightly; this is now my private project. But, the purpose of the island remains the same: A quiet, safe place for my friends and I to hang out and have a little chunk of Second Life to call their own. Some random furry drama isn't going to change that.

I will, however, be doing some clerical land management in the background, and unfortunately, because SL does not allow renaming of groups, the old FurPunch Island group will be deleted and a new one created. Anyone associated with the island will get instant access. I'll make a group notice to follow once that new group is ready so people can request an invite.
