  1. UPDATED RULES CAN ALWAYS BE FOUND AT https://8ch.net/tgcraft/res/1748.html
  2.
  3. Welcome to /tg/craft - a /tg/ community Minecraft server!
  4.
  5. The main idea behind /tg/craft is to provide a fantasy roleplay server which would fit to fa/tg/uys of all stripes. It is a community effort to maintain this server, its high quality of play, and no single person can keep credit for making it great.
  6. Iteration 2 of /tg/craft has been long awaited, and in the making for approximately half a year now. it will launch on 30th of June, and as of the posting of this thread, the bills have been paid for the server to run till winter on a tad more expensive but higher performing box than before. The setting is high fantasy, starting in the period just before an industrial revolution. In this new era of unprecedented technological progress, doubts will be cast on certainties that have stood since time immemorial. While the ancient conflict between the gods of Order and the gods of Chaos rages as it has since the dawn of creation, civilizations find themselves in a new age of both great unpheaval and great enlightenment. The riches and the beauty of Silea Ravni beckon. In this new age where long forgotten arcane knowledge has become rediscovered and common, when deadly new gunpowder weapons reign across battlefields, the might of Gods shall pale in comparison to the ambition of men.

  14. Rules
  15.
  16. All violation of rules may end in a permanent ban. You have been warned.
  17. Ignorance of the rules is no defense.
  18. All ban appeals will be ignored unless they're posted under >>1080
  19.
  20. General Rules
  21.
  22. 1.) No cheating.
  23. a) No combat hacks. This means no usage of modded clients which give a direct mechanical aim/damage/range bonus to its user. Xray is fine. Minimaps are fine. Kill Aura and trajectory predictors are not.
  24. b) No alt accounts. Using multiple Minecraft accounts to play on this server will get you perma-banned on all of them. If you have family or friends who will either play on the same IP address as you or use one of your known alts, make sure to contact Leskovar and let him know.
  25.
  26. 2.) No spamming.
  27. Since there's no global chat, spamming can only be done in 3 ways and all 3 are guaranteed to get a permanent ban.
  28. a) Creating/deleting a town repeatedly.
  29. b) Consistently and rapidly privately messaging a person even after they've made it clear that they want you to stop.
  30. c) Spamming the chat in lobby.
  31. If more ways to spam are discovered, staff will take the necessary precautions to punish it even if it is not specifically covered by a clause under this rule at the time.
  32.
  33. 3.) Shitting up the /tg/craft wiki, board, discord or community in general.
  34. This means the following;
  35. a) Being banned repeatedly from the /tg/craft discord for severe and repeated rule violations. If you don't like the discord's rules, just stay away from it.
  36. b) Editing lore of other players on the wiki without their explicit permission to do so at the time or vandalizing wiki pages. Lore does not cover accurate information; wiki editors can still do things such as change the stated number of residents in your town, editing list of members after they have stated that they have joined / left, and similar situations.
  37. c) Submitting NSFW lore and imagery to the wiki or board.
  38. d) Threathening community members with personal threats (directed to them as the person, not the player) and/or creating unnecessary personal drama and conflict with harrassment, blackmails, or humiliation.
  39. e) Unreasonably shitting on the community and the server, not as criticism or joke of any sort but just shitting on the server without rhyme or reason.
  40.
  41. 4.) Disrupting the administration and the server
  42. a) Creating lag machines, bricking plugins, or abusing glitches, inadvertently or not, in such as a way to disrupt server operation will have the offending player temporarily banned for a duration of a week minimum and 60 days maximum. Since proper lag machines often require a team effort, or town members are atleast generally aware of what their neighbours are doing, the penalties may be shared across the entire town. Tell your fellow players to stop - if they refuse, report them.
  43. b) Attacking, threathening and harrassing players for the reason of said player having reported anything to the admins, whether the report is true or not. Do not discourage people from reporting anything to the admins - if you aren't guilty, doing this will merely ensure that we do punish you regardless. Vendetta over previous bans / punishments is covered by this rule. Stating that you will destroy a town or kill a player over having reported and gotten you banned before is enough to get permabanned. So long as the implication of the person doing this for the reason of the victim having reported him isn't made by the offender, this rule does not cover any slights whatsoever.
  44. c) Advertising other servers / advertising this server as being anything other than a light RP fantasy server.
  45.
  46. 5.) No Towns without Lore.
  47. If your town does not have a wiki page up 72 hours after it has been founded, and this wiki page does not contain approximately 200 words of lore written in comprehensible english, you can expect to receive a warning from an admin. Several repeated warnings may result in your town being deleted.
  48. Additionaly, if your lore is not representative of server theme, we may reject it. You will be given another 72 hours after then to try and write again, and you will be guided by the admin and/or the community towards improving your lore to fit in.
  49. Failure to comply multiple times will result in a permanent ban. Pretending to be dumb and writing memelore that is blatantly ridiculing this rule's intent will get you temporary bans ranging from 24 hours to 30 days, or perhaps having the permission the make towns revoked from you permanently.
  50. Post your wiki page as a reply to >>1531, under that thread. This is to ensure that an admin sees it. Include the town's exact name in the post, along with the mayor's exact Minecraft username, so that it can be easily found and inspected.
  51. Until your lore is officialy approved by an admin on the thread, you may be banned for sieging / memeraiding other towns whose lore is approved.
  52.
  53. 6.) Respect the Roleplay or don't Play.
  54. Being caught destroying other people's immersion with your blatant memery is a serious bannable offense, ranging from 24h to 3 months.
  55. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO RESPOND WITH IN-RP PARAGRAPH POSTS WHENEVER SOMEONE SAYS HELLO TO YOU IN LOCAL. IT JUST MEANS YOU'RE EXPECTED NOT TO GIVE A MEME RESPONSE THAT WILL BLATANTLY RUIN RP, ALONG THE LINES OF "REEEE NORMIES GET OUT".
  56. a) Throwing down insults and "banter" does not count as roleplay unless it is done in a very setting-appropriate manner with no indication of any personal ad hominem insults. Basically, you offend them as the player-character they are in the server, not the person they are outside of it, and you also must do it in a manner that is appropriate for your own player-character.
  57. b) Bad memes, cringe, and thinly veiled /pol/ bullshit trying to masquerade as some form of RP is a ban as well. Bringing over memetic bullshit from other 4chan servers such as /int/craft or /pol/andcraft, under the pretense that this server is similar enough to it. Mentioning these servers or talking about them or comparing them to this one is discouraged, but is only rule breaking if it's to detract from the purpose of /tg/craft.
  58. c) Actively breaking up In-Character conversations in any chat. Banting/memeing for a few seconds because you didn't realize you were out of channel is fine. Continuing after being told to stop or at a point where any sane person would've obviously figured out that they're being disruptive is bannable. Create yourselves some OOC groups to chat in, and you'll be fine.
  59. d) Architecture and general behaviour that doesn't befit your town or character's lore description. Architecture should be obvious. The behaviour almost exclusively applies to religion. If you're a werewolf, you cannot tolerate Order. If you're a vampire, you cannot tolerate Chaos. The best you can ever be to someone who is on the opposing side is hostile neutral. No exceptions. However, behaviour also entails things such as being a memeraider while also holding several state offices and / or being a part of a peace-oriented town. Not to mention things such as speaking as informally as possible / memeing during diplomacy or official inter-state meetings. At the very least, you should lose your official rank and positions, else the mayor (if he is aware of this and tolerating it) is being penalized. Another example is being a faction devoted to either Chaos or Order, yet not waging war / conducting raids only with the explicit blessing of your Gods.
  60. e) Wanton Imperialism that does not befit any kind of actual roleplay, but is just "we came here, this belongs to us now".
  61.
  62. Grace Period rules
  63.
  64. The Grace Period shall last until the end of 21st of July, and until then these rules shall be enforced.
  65.
  66. 1.) No PvP
  67. a) PvP shall be disabled, but killing players with gear or mechanics that bypass these restrictions will be bannable. Permabans for intentional, temporary bans if accidental or in self defence. Duration dependent on circumstances, but it will be between 24 hours minimum to 30 days maximum penalty. This does not apply in the Nether.
  68. b) Blackmailing players with the threat of PvP into giving you resources, or threathening people into submission with the condition that they shall be wiped out after grace ends, is prohibited as well. 24 hours to 30 days maximum penalty, depending on circumstance.
  69. c) Griefing builds, stealing, abusing glitches to harm other players, killing animals, and otherwise indirectly harming players is banned.
  70. EXCEPTION: Using NPCs Guards in your own claims / the immediate area outside them is an allowed form of using pvp for the purpose of keeping players out of your claims.
  71.
  72. 2.) No betrayal
  73. No spying, no joining other people's towns merely to take their resources and then leave, no joining other people's town with intent to betray them later on, and no griefing builds other people have made unless they are now in your own personal claims.
  74. The mayor is, as well, not allowed to betray his town members. They cannot just put up their plots for sale for free to his friends, or steal from them. All the same rules apply. The mayor, however, has a right to remove builds if they do not fit town theme; but he has to properly warn the offending member atleast 24 hours beforehand. Don't worry, everything is saved in chat logs. It never hurts to ask them.
  75. Additional clause: If a person joins a town during the grace period with the intent to betray them or steal after grace period ends, I am going to enforce this rule regardless.
