- Dear Colorado Legislators,
- Thank you for all you do.
- Please, kindly reply and let me know where I can stay up to date on firearms legislation coming up in the state of Colorado as well as what you hope to eventually pass. It looks like Colorado already has strict laws, especially when college students who move away from their family homes are currently barred from handgun purchases and conceal carry until age 21. Although I am over 30, and this does not concern me now, I may want to have children one day who are self sufficient and ready to go live life on their own at age 18.

- I do not want my future children to be told by their government(s) that they are not worth being able to protect themselves in any way they see fit after they grow up and leave home.
- This makes me sick to my stomach, especially when we know how big Me Too is.
- I grew up in rural Kansas around gun culture.
- These age bans (without bypass licenses) are bad laws.
- How dare any American government ever punish The People who may not wish to be preyed upon like this?

- Of course, we should definitely be extremely concerned about disturbed youth, like those Columbine monsters, but there are better answers than age bans we can do...
- We should instead discriminate until high-school graduation, GED acquisition, or some other educational milestone which would generally signify when one is about to leave their parental home. Societal rewards for doing well in the educational sector would be a positive incentive for young people, especially if they would like faster access to certain rights they cannot possibly obtain at all under our current laws.
- There should be a special license for teenage students in rural Colorado who are outside municipal centers (where the mass shootings are taking place). Psych evaluations and competency certifications can be set up for them to hopefully bypass age discrimination and be left alone, especially on the private property that their family members own.
- Competency testing could easily include all the responsibility/safety/storage rules that anyone could ever hope for.
- Due to the political climate, I am sincerely concerned about what Colorado legislators are going to do to further restrict our American rights. As you know, we already have some strict laws which disgustingly discriminate against rural Colorado and young adults.
- When I cannot gift a family rifle to either my son or my daughter (whichever it will be) after they prove to me that they are responsible enough, something wrong is going on...
- Besides all these abhorrent infringements on our second amendment, seatbelt laws, and mass medicating by water fluoridation (which comes from fertilizer byproduct as well as aluminum factories as per the water reports: WTF?); Colorado is one of the best states in the entire country.
- Taking away our personal choice/responsibilities, though, is not going to do our great state any good in the long run.
- We are either the land of the free and the home of the brave... or we are not.
- Please, kindly acknowledge my concerned sentiments and let me know what you will do to make sure America stays free as can be.
- Thank you!
