  1. Reverb knocks on the door to Wrong_Way's room
  2. Wrong_Way was narrating his turtle's actions like he was a documentary voice over guy
  3. <Wrong_Way>: "and the might turtle travels the planes of-Theo, don't eat the dust bunnies..."
  4. Wrong_Way hasn't heard the knock since he's trying to keep his turtle from eating dust
  5. Reverb just opens the door. "Hey, Mark, I needed to-"
  6. <Wrong_Way>: "Come on Theo, you just ate..."
  7. Wrong_Way sees Reverb as he's trying to pull a piece of long dust out of Theo's mouth
  8. <Reverb>: "...is... is this a bad time?"
  9. <Wrong_Way>: "Uh..uh..."
  10. <Reverb>: "I... never mind. I need some help."
  11. <Wrong_Way>: "Sure!"
  12. <Reverb>: "Okay, uh, put simply... I need you to... accompany me to the record store."
  13. Wrong_Way immediately puts away his turtle in his tank
  14. <Wrong_Way>: "A-a record store?"
  15. <Reverb>: "Y-Yeah, there are a few in the town... b-but, you see..."
  16. <Reverb>: "I'm... kind of banned from two of them already."
  17. <Wrong_Way>: "Aw, who would ban you from a record store?"
  18. <Wrong_Way>: "N-not that you couldn't get yourself banned... but not saying you're a person they'd want to ban..."
  19. <Reverb>: "I... kind of have a tendency to blow up at people. Over music."
  20. <Wrong_Way>: "Oh..Thank goodness I don't listen to that much music!"
  21. <Reverb>: "Oh, I mean, I wouldn't just attack anyone, no."
  22. <Reverb>: "It's just that fucking fatass fedora-wearing Beefheart-listening piece of SHIT- sorry, sorry."
  23. <Reverb>: "But... I would like someone who can... placate me, I suppose?"
  24. <Wrong_Way>: "Oh sure, you're my...friend."
  25. <Reverb>: "Yeah, that's right. I really appreciate this, Mark."
  26. <Wrong_Way>: "No problem. Let's get going."
  27. <Reverb>: "Awesome." she said, with a small smile. "I'm all set, and you?"
  28. <Wrong_Way>: "Uh yeah." He looks over his attire and brushes off any dust he might've gotten on his pants
  29. <Wrong_Way>: "How are we getting there anyways?"
  30. <Reverb>: "Well, walking is one way."
  31. <Reverb>: "And... given we can't drive or anything, the only way."
  32. <Wrong_Way>: "Alright." he says with a shrug. "It's been a while since I walked to a store."
  33. Wrong_Way suddenly realizes how pretentious that might have sounded and internally freaks out
  34. <Reverb>: "Yeah, these days there's not much need for it either. But, I suppose it can be nice." she shrugged, as she began to walk to the front door of the school.
  35. Wrong_Way follows after her, keeping a pace close to hers
  36. <Wrong_Way>: "So uh..."
  37. <Wrong_Way>: "How's life been?"
  38. <Reverb>: "...Different."
  39. <Reverb>: "In some ways, at the least. But at least some stuff has stayed the same."
  40. <Reverb>: "Like you and the turtle."
  41. <Wrong_Way>: "Heh heh, yeah..."
  42. Wrong_Way thanks whoever that made it possible that frankie didn't see the polly pockets.
  43. <Reverb>: "Again, I do appreciate this. Music is a big deal for me, y'know." she says, opening the front gates and walking out.
  44. <Wrong_Way>: "It's cool Frankie, Everyone has things they really like. I'm just glad I get to see what you like."
  45. <Reverb>: "Yeah, it's partially like and partially a necessity. Y'know, what with hearing everything ever." she explains, tapping the headphones.
  46. <Wrong_Way>: "Wow. Everything?"
  47. <Reverb>: "Well, texts, radio signals, TV broadcasts, fax machines, emails, and so on."
  48. <Reverb>: "So just about everything."
  49. <Wrong_Way>: "That's super cool Frankie."
  50. <Reverb>: "At first, yeah... but then it just doesn't stop."
  51. <Reverb>: "Everything at once, all the phones and computers and radios in my head at the same time and it doesn't just stop..."
  52. <Wrong_Way>: "...Now that sounds worse."
  53. <Wrong_Way>: "So those headphones help you?"
  54. <Reverb>: "In a sense, yes. They block out a good 90% of it."
  55. <Reverb>: "I can then use them to tune in and all that. Versatile."
  56. <Reverb>: "And then music, that kinda blocks it out further. It's always playing, believe it or not."
  57. <Wrong_Way>: "Wow. Do you ever run out of music or get sick of songs?"
  58. <Reverb>: "Well, not really. I've been building up my music collection since my powers really manifested."
  59. <Reverb>: "At first it was just stuff that worked. Then it slowly leaked into my original musical tastes and mixed. So, lots of rap, rock, you can expect that."
  60. <Reverb>: "...maaaaybe a girl group."
  61. <Wrong_Way>: "As long you have music you like."
  62. <Reverb>: "Yup. And talking of music, we're almost there."
  63. <Wrong_Way>: "Really?"
  64. <Reverb>: "Yup. Time really flies, eh?"
  65. <Wrong_Way>: "Sometimes. Usually it feels like time is taking it's own time though."
  66. <Reverb>: "It's a funny thing, time." she says, shrugging.
  67. <Wrong_Way>: "So what kind of records are you getting?"
  68. <Reverb>: "Hmm, probably some rock-oriented stuff, there are usually records of those. Maybe even metal stuff, though I'm not too fond of that."
  69. <Reverb>: "...what kinda music do you like?"
  70. Wrong_Way thinks back to his Nickelback and Shakira on his phone.
  71. <Wrong_Way>: "..Salsa music."
  72. <Reverb>: "Ooh, nice. Salsa's a good genre."
  73. <Wrong_Way>: "Yeah..."
  74. <Reverb>: Reverb and Wrong Way stood outside the store. Unassuming, navy in color with a simple sign. Reverb almost looked scared of entering.
  75. Wrong_Way is about to go inside when he sees Reverb looking fearfully at the store.
  76. <Wrong_Way>: "Frankie?"
  77. <Reverb>: "Wh-what? I'm fine... c'mon, let's go..."
  78. <Wrong_Way>: "Alright." He holds the door open for her
  79. <Reverb>: Reverb walks in slowly. The music is loud and... strange. Experimental might be a better word. Like a mix of throat singing and bongos at once.
  80.
  81. <DarkAlina>: [pleeeeeeeeb]
  82.
  83. Wrong_Way wonders if this is a live performance or something off a record.
  84. <Wrong_Way>: "So...what do we do?"
  85. Wrong_Way had never been in a music store before.
  86. <Reverb>: Well well well, if it isn't Miss No-Taste.
  87. <Reverb>: The clerk grins, looking at Reverb. "Bought your boyfriend along, I see."
  88. <Wrong_Way>: "B-boyfriend?"
  89. Reverb scowls.
  90. <Wrong_Way>: "And Frankie doesn't have bad taste! She listens to a lot of music."
  91. <Reverb>: "Hahaha, you're a funny guy."
  92. <Reverb>: "I mean, shit, who the hell even likes rap these days?"
  93. <Wrong_Way>: "I'm sure tons of people do."
  94. <Reverb>: "Why? It's an objectively shitty genre."
  95. <Wrong_Way>: "Who said so?"
  96. <Reverb>: "Boy, I say so. We don't do rap here."
  97. <Wrong_Way>: "Fine. We'll buy not rap and go buy rap somewhere else."
  98. <Reverb>: "You think I'm going to let a bunch of plebs sully my store?"
  99. <Wrong_Way>: "Aw come on sir, we're just here for records. That's all."
  100. <Reverb>: "What kind of music do you like?"
  101. Wrong_Way once again feels his phone full of Nickelback and Shakira in his pocket weigh him down
  102. <Wrong_Way>: "Uh...I like salsa music."
  103. <Reverb>: "Liar. You look like a Nickelback. I can smell the cheap imitation rock on you."
  104. <Reverb>: Hey, that's over the line, you asshole!
  105. <Wrong_Way>: "H-how do I look like Nickelback? I listen to salsa music generally."
  106. <Reverb>: "Clothing choices, the way you style your hair, it screams 'asshole who likes Nickelback'."
  107. <Wrong_Way>: "My mom got me this shirt..."
  108. <Reverb>: "Then your mom was a fucking idiot."
  109. <Reverb>: Right, you know what, let's go Mark.
  110. Wrong_Way clenches his fists
  111. <Wrong_Way>: "It's fine Frankie. Let's just get your records and leave. Is that fine with you?"
  112. <Reverb>: "Like, shit, that shirt just screams dadrock fuckface. Like holy shit, what."
  113. <Reverb>: "Almost as bad as your girlfriend's shirt. What is that even meant to be on her shirt?"
  114. <Reverb>: No Mark, I'm not going to buy records in this cunt's store.
  115. <Wrong_Way>: "Fine..."
  116. <Reverb>: "Oh good, the plebs are leaving."
  117. <Wrong_Way>: "I'm going to write a bad review of you online, sir."
  118. <Reverb>: "Yeah, you should write a bad review of wherever your mom got that shirt. And maybe a bad review of her taste in clothes too."
  119. <Wrong_Way>: "Whatever man." Mark says, as he opens the door for Reverb
  120. Reverb looks at the doorway.
  121. <Reverb>: "...you know what?"
  122. Reverb turns out, and knocks down a rack of records.
  123. <Reverb>: "Yo! Watch the merch, bitch!"
  124. Wrong_Way avoids stepping on the spilt records
  125. <Wrong_Way>: "I'm sure she didn't mean it..." he says though feeling kind of grateful one of them did something.
  126. <Reverb>: Fuck yeah I meant it.
  127. <Reverb>: I don't care what you call me, but my friends? Off. Limits.
  128. Wrong_Way feels like he should do something as well.
  129. <Wrong_Way>: "Uh his shoes /aren't/ bright orange!", referring to the store owner
  130. <Reverb>: "Right, that's it, get out. You're banned!"
  131. <Wrong_Way>: "Fine, and you were right. I love Nickelback!" Mark shouts, caught up in the moment.
  132. <Alina>: [for shaaaaaaaaame]
  133. Reverb grabs Mark's arm and drags him out of the store.
  134. <Wrong_Way>: "Sorry...I felt like shouting."
  135. Reverb starts to giggle
  136. <Reverb>: ...hehehe, that was some nice shouting back there. You really showed the cunt.
  137. <Wrong_Way>: "Y-yeah, I sure showed him."
  138. <Reverb>: "Oh man, totally worth not buying the records."
  139. <Wrong_Way>: "It sucks that you got banned from there though."
  140. <Reverb>: "Meh, not that big a deal. I'm sure I can convince the other stores to let me back in."
  141. <Wrong_Way>: "That's good."
  142. <Reverb>: "Yeah. For now though, let's go home."
  143. <Wrong_Way>: "Cool...y-you wanna do anything there?"
  144. <Reverb>: "Well... I suppose we should catch up, right?"
  145. <Wrong_Way>: "Sure! I mean, if you wanna talk about it..."
  146. <Reverb>: "Talk about what?"
  147. <Wrong_Way>: "Uh...you know..."
  148. Wrong_Way whispers "The brotherhood."
  149. Wrong_Way looks over his shoulder quickly as if he's expecting for them to show up out of nowhere
  150. <Reverb>: "Oh, right, them."
  151. <Reverb>: "Well... I'm open to a Q&A. Fire at will."
  152. <Wrong_Way>: "Really?"
  153. <Reverb>: "Yeah, go ahead."
  154. <Wrong_Way>: "...Were there a lot of people there?"
  155. <Reverb>: "...Kind of. There was the Tree, his Skeleton accomplice... me, Jet and Vacuna..."
  156. <Reverb>: "And three others. Troglodyte, Wolf, and Creeper."
  157. <Wrong_Way>: "Must've been lonely."
  158. <Reverb>: "A little, but... in a way, it was nice."
  159. <Reverb>: "It was... peaceful. For the first time in a long time, it was quiet."
  160. <Wrong_Way>: "Wow...that must've been nice for you."
  161. <Wrong_Way>: "Was the food there any good?"
  162. <Alina>: [reminder: the food was made by an insane goat skellington with no taste buds]
  163. <Reverb>: "It was... passable."
  164. <Alina>: [if by passable you mean it passes through you like shit through a goose and has the same byproduct]
  165. <Wrong_Way>: "Did you guys do missions there like we do here?"
  166. <Reverb>: "Yup. We... we had a few."
  167. <Wrong_Way>: "Huh. Alright."
  168. <Wrong_Way>: "You guys probably saved some people, right?"
  169. <Reverb>: "Umm... yeah..."
  170. <Wrong_Way>: "Well that's good. I guess they must do some good."
  171. <Reverb>: "Some, I suppose..."
  172. <Wrong_Way>: "....I can't think of any other questions."
  173. <Wrong_Way>: "Oh well."
  174. <Reverb>: "It's... for the best. The mission talk is a bit of a downer, really..."
  175. <Wrong_Way>: "Oh...okay."
  176. <Reverb>: "...Let's head home."
  177. <Wrong_Way>: "Alright."
  178. <Wrong_Way>: "I had a great time with you...I'd probably be hanging out with Theo Junior all day."
  179. <Reverb>: "Oh, glad you enjoyed it... despite the... yeah. I could... still hang out with you, when we get back?"
  180. <Wrong_Way>: "Y-you wanna?"
  181. <Reverb>: "Yeah, why not. Like I said, got catching up to do, need to see what my friends are up to, right?"
  182. <Wrong_Way>: "Y-yeah!"
  183. <Wrong_Way>: "We can hang in my room and uh..."
  184. <Wrong_Way>: "...Play uno?"
  185. <Reverb>: "...You know, that sounds like a lot of fun."
  186. Wrong_Way hopes that Theo Junior hasn't eaten the cards yet
  187. <Wrong_Way>: "So let's get going! Uno awaits us!" he says with a smile
  188. <Reverb>: "Hehe, sure thing." she smiles back, as she starts the trek home.
