How to make discord roles 101

How to set up roles on your discord server!

Step 1: Create a server
This one is self explanatory

Step 2: Create a role
If you go to Server settings > Roles, this is the role menu, this is where you customize every role you have on your server. The only role you can customize atm is the @everyone role, click on the plus in the top mid-west to create a new role

Step 3: Customizing your role
Here you can customize everything to color, name, and permissions in this section. Colors can be edited through hex #RRBBGG or a color picker. Each perm has a certain thing it will allow the people with the role. Most are selfexplanitory, most that arent have a question mark to tell what they mean.

Step 4: Channel Specific Perms.
If you hover over a channel you can see a cog looking button, click it and it will take you to the channel settings. Here you can manage everything about a certain channel. Go to the permissions tab to add roles to a channel and give them specific perms.

Step 5: Assigning your brand new roles.
Right click someone's name in the people tab to the right, there will be a role section down a bit, here you can add and remove roles.
