  1. The Brewmaster Carnifex's notes and instructions are diverse, detailing a variety of different poisons and elixirs for the aspiring potionsmith to try their hand at. Below are just some of the potions she provides recipes for. More will be added as the game progresses.

  6. ALACRITY DRAUGHT

  9. Ingredients:
  10. -Monk's Cowl: A fleshy, shapeless black mushroom which can be found growing at the foot of certain trees.
  11. -Wraith Essence: Smoking trails left behind by some varieties of wraiths. A rarity.
  12. -Plianna Root: The bulbous root of a weed endemic to the Echoes, commonly found in bushland.

  14. Appearance: An extremely runny concoction, with a milky translucency to it.
  15.  
  16. Effect: The drinker finds their senses and reflexes extremely heightened. They can take a second normal action, and autocrits on Dodge rolls. Lasts until the end of combat.

  21. BLISTER POISON

  24. Ingredients:
  25. -Scatterwort: A sprig from a nondescript perennial plant with six pronged leaves and yellow flowers, common throughout the Echoes.
  26. -Balaur Bile: Acidic spittle produced by certain varieties of Balaur. A rarity.
  27. -Hawkwood Petal: Brilliant sky-blue petals from a flower which stings and burns to the touch, found in heavily forested areas.
  28. -Gorgon's Lock: A vine which has evolved to resemble a dangling snake, and is as poisonous as the real thing.

  30. Appearance: A dark green, almost black ichor, with a fizziness to it.

  32. Effect: A target touched by Blister Poison will be wracked with stinging pain, taking 2 extra hits from the first attack and an additional 1 hit from physical attacks for 3 rounds.

  37. BEAST LURE

  40. Ingredients:
  41. -Moonflower Nectar: Nectar from a rare white flower which, paradoxically, only blooms under moonlight. A rarity.
  42. -Desert Lily: A pale green flower found exclusively in arid regions. Despite its name, it is not a lily at all.
  43. -Honey: Plain honey harvested from a bee's nest.
  44. -Equine Blood: Blood drawn from any of the equine races of the world.
  45. -Chicken Egg Shell: The crushed shell of a chicken's egg.
  46.  
  47. Appearance: A pale golden substance with a jelly-like consistency.
  48.  
  49. Effect: This pheromone, when spread on a surface, will emit an odorless scent which attracts all manner of beasts to the location. Lingers for up to an hour. Use with caution.

  54. THE STRANGLER

  57. Ingredients:
  58. -Barghest Hide: A sample of skin taken from a deadly Barghest, a fearsome beast which can turn intangible at will. A rarity.
  59. -Gnawtongue: A vile crimson mushroom, deadly if ingested, resembling a long, three-forked tongue. A rarity.
  60. -Prowler's Heart: The crushed heart of one of the sorcerous Prowlers, feral creatures of dark magic commonplace in the Echoes.
  61. -Chrysalis' Bane: A white and blue toadstool found growing at the roots of trees all throughout the Echoes.
  62. -Mooncalf Tears: The collected liquid sprayed from the eyes of a Mooncalf, a strange nocturnal creature which uses its own acidic tears as a defense mechanism. A rarity.
  63. -Bittercress Leaf: Leaves from a common swampland plant, large and serrated.

  65. Appearance: A single delicate purple crystal, the size of a marble. Dissolves easily.
  66.  
  67. Effect: This poison is one of the most highly valued by Echoes wetworkers, being nearly untraceable and extremely deadly. A single drop of the Strangler if ingested will completely close the victim's throat, clenching their windpipe tight as a fist. It is said the victim's face turns as purple as the poison crystal itself.

  72. CLAIRVOYANCE CONCOCTION

  76. -Wraith Essence: Smoking trails left behind by some varieties of wraiths. A rarity.
  77. -Mosscat Liver: Organs harvested from one of the elusive mosscats that are native to the Echoes.
  78. -Rainbow Lotus: A perennial aquatic flower that changes color constantly. Quite beautiful.

  80. Appearance: A runny, milky fluid with rainbow streaks running through it. Extremely bitter and unpleasant.
  81.  
  82. Effect: The drinker will find their perception augmented, being able to see things usually hidden by magic, and read the minds of those around them. Overdosing on this concoction has led to many seeing things better left unseen, or questioning the nature of their reality.

  87. BOILING BLOOD

  89. Ingredients:

  91. -Kelpie's Tooth: The powdered tooth of a barbaric water-dwelling equine creature, usually found hunting in packs throughout the Broad River. A rarity.
  92. -Rust: Rusted iron ground to a fine dust.
  93. -Imperial Basil: An uncommon herb usually found growing in clumps in dense bushland.
  94. -Water Sausage: A long reed found near bodies of water, sporting long, oblong seed pods.
  95. -Dirgren Fat: Grease trimmed from a large, aggressive amphibian creature.

  97. Appearance: A violently roiling red liquid, defying physics as it attempts to escape its container. Difficult to drink.
  98.  
  99. Effect: Drinking this potion sends the user into an altered state, increasing their energy tenfold. The user is healed back to full hits (but not wounds), gains an additional +50% max hits (rounded up), and is immune to helpless for 5 turns. After the effects of this wear off, they return to the hits they possessed before they drunk the Boiling Blood.
