Avara: 	PREVIOSLY ON A.E.B.: The party did battle against the Plant Hive that produced and subsequently mind-controlled various creatures in its efforts to kill or fungal-zombify us all. Being the survivors of one apocalypse already, the Winter Lotus decided to stomp that shit before it got anywhere. Now, we shall see if the offspring will continue the fight or seek peaceful resolution! Or if they even know what the heck's going on.

	Chronicler: 	So, you defeated the big plant thing. And its minions look around with a blank look - as if taking in their surroundings for the first time. Also, you caught tentacles.
	Plant Hive: 	Plant Hive falls from its anchor upon defeat - landing onto the ground with a rumbling crash. The vines leading out of it into the ceiling and networked throughout the area ripping from its body.
	Alsine Kolstad: 	"Is alles in orde?"
Alsine Kolstad whispers: Is everything alright?
	Natasha: 	"Ik denk het. Ik lijken te zijn ongedeerd. Wacht, wat is dit gevoel?"
	Chloe Blanchett: 	Chloe walked over to pick up the friend ball.
You whisper to Chloe: "I think so. I appear to be unhurt. Wait, what is this feeling?"
	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	Unarmored Plant Thing 1 looks to others of its kind before to the humans. It narrows its eyes to all the language being thrown around.

* Valerie Ylsef 1 picks up the discarded Jordy.
* Natasha began glowing with a strong light!

	Natasha: 	After it cleared, she wasn't that much different in size, but she looked a lot more prominent. And powerful.
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"Eh!? Natasha, you're..."
	Rochette: 	"Kanto Poke doesn't seem to work. Do you understand this?"

Unarmored Plant Thing 1 whispers: It is definitely a language. You can pick up the patterns and repeats common of all languages. However, it isn't a language you have ever heard before.

	Rochette: 	"I don't recognize anything either." If she hasn't already, she puts her weapons away.

	Saturn Rosewell: 	"Carol? Do you recognize any of what they're saying?"
	Carol: 	"Uhh no. Linguistics was never something I cared to study."
* Rochette looks to the Plant Things and smiles, careful not to show any teeth. She approaches slowly.
	Natasha: 	(Does my Aura Reader tell me anything?)
	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	"Fe-raae-de?! Eay-de'ku raee-kukah!"
* Rochette blinks, and slowly tilts her head to the side. She gestures to her ear and shakes her head. "We don't speak the same language," she says in a calm tone, as friendly as she can manage.
	Chloe Blanchett: 	Chloe tried to guess what the unarmored plant thing might be feeling through intuition...
	Valerie Ylsef 1: 	"You smartypants let me know when we are ready to go, I'm gonna be useless."
Unarmored Plant Thing 1 whispers: Their aura is a bright pink.
* Valerie Ylsef 1 takes a seat and begins to fiddle with Jordy.
Unarmored Plant Thing 1 whispers: Except the Fur Beast. That one is grey.

* Rochette gestures to the Plant Hive, then to the Plant Things. She mimes a puppeteer's actions. Then she gestured to herself and her group. Pulled out her bow, but no arrows, and then pointed to the arrows in the Plant Hive, before putting the bow away again.
Unarmored Plant Thing 1 whispers: Well, as aura reader says the contrast of the aura (bright or dark) suggest good intentions or negative intentions respectfully. The colour of their aura suggests something about their personality. Pink could mean friendly or honest. The grey aura has no contrast - neither bright or dark. And grey is unassuming.
	Natasha: 	"Whakaaro ahau ko te bit hoa faitotonu ranei nga mea whakato. Ko te atu tetahi he kūpapa. E kore e mea te reira ki te mahi i tetahi mea."
You whisper to Avara: "I think the plant creatures are a bit friendly or honest. The other one is neutral. It doesn't seem to be doing anything."
	Armored Plant Thing: 	Armored Plant Thing taps its chin a bit before looking back to the unarmored one, "Oo-geaeoh. * Saturn Rosewell was watching all this, but wasn't sure what else to say or do. Between Natasha, Rochette, and Chloe, she believed they had an okay grasp on it, though she wasn't sure what more to add. Mist was being exuded from her, healing her wounds.
	Fur Beast: 	Fur Beast uncurls from its protective ball and leans against the unconscious body of Plant Hive, "Ingen her kan forstå hvem som helst."
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"!?" Saturn knew that language. It was Alsine's native tongue. Perhaps negotiation was possible!
* Rochette hasn't been attacked yet, so she approached further, removing the Toxic Spikes around Fur Beast.
	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	Unarmored Plant Thing 1 turned to the Fur Beast when it spoke - though didn't seem to understand what it said in the slightest.
	Alsine Kolstad: 	"Hva var det?" Alsine asked.
	Fur Beast: 	Fur Beast looked up at Alsine and chuckled, "Du kan forstå meg minst. Hvor er dette?"
* Rochette checked around for a soft surface that wasn't any of the people from her group or the Plant Group that she could maybe carve into quickly?

* Rochette approaches the plant things again.

* Rochette walks to the plants, still moving slowly to avoid making anyone freak out.

	Rochette: 	"Mimsy, do you have any powders you can use a lot of?"

* Domino looks down and with a considerable amount of disdain speaks.

* Rochette pulls out her spear (Val's spear) and does her best to draw the day's events in the dust and spores.
	Domino : 	Domino goes down 3 meter(s).
	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	Unarmored Plant Thing 1 pauses and then turns to Carol, holding out her hand toward her - palm up, "Zee-ku-de deooee-lu-ra. Baemahae-kuah."
* Domino floats down a little.

* Rochette does a bit of a rush job on this, gesturing for the language-barrier-blocked to look.
* Rochette puts her spear away, probably interrupted. She holds a hand out to Unarmored Plant Thing.
	Saturn Rosewell: 	Intuition discerning intent and/or message against Carol, 5d6+1 .
	Natasha: 	I shall do the same at 5d6+6 !
	Alsine Kolstad: 	"Hva livet hadde du bor? 	Rochette: 	"I apologize for the language difficulties. The creature that the white-furred one is resting against had you all under its control."
	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	Unarmored Plant Thing 1 pauses, "...And bestowed upon us a shared knowledge of sorts. I know of a place that I feel is home - but this is not it. I know not of where we are. What are you?"
	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	Unarmored Plant Thing 1 removes her hands from Rochette's and puts a person's worth of distance between them.
	Plant Hive: 	The injury lowered the Attack stat!
	Rochette: 	"This is the sewer system of a primarily human-populated domain, Cerulean City. I am a human, as are they," she said, pointing to Chloe, Saturn, and Valerie. "She is a pokemon-human hybrid," pointing at Carol. "I... don't know exactly what she is," pointing at Alsine. "And the rest of our group are our pokemon. A few different species therein. The one who controlled you, but gave information, was intending to take control of everyone here and wage war against those who reside on the surface."
	Alsine Kolstad: 	"Jeg beklager . Jeg foreslår at du reiser med oss , for tiden . 	Rochette: 	"I've been informed that this one, Alsine, is a succubus," she said, once more gesturing to Alsine.

	Alsine Kolstad: 	"Succubus." Alsine confirmed. It was a word shared in many languages.
	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	"A civilization on the surface? That is interesting and unfamiliar. We don't quite grasp the concept of your species differences but it would appear this is quite far from our home below the surface." Unarmored Plant Thing 1 turns to the plant hive, "Though this creature was not a common sight in our home. Its origins are unknown."
	Carol: 	"It's...quite a mystery!"
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"Wait a minute..."
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"I saw that thing spit you out as if it gave birth to you. Yet you said it's not a common sight in your home?"
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"That doesn't make sense... Something doesn't add up."
	Rochette: 	"It may have been storing them, instead of creating them?"

	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	"Below the surface. That is all I have."
	Rochette: 	"Hm." She looks to Carol. "I think this is where you step in and offer to... maybe look after them and help them in some way, in exchange for information? We've stopped the threat that was going to destroy the Dome's functionality."
	Carol: 	"Honestly? If they're from a lost civilization I'd rather they be free to do whatever. If they remain they'll be studied. We have the giant plant thing behind them that was causing all the problems. They should be satisfied with that to study and hopefully prevent this from happening again."
	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	"Studied? The surface has scientists? Perhaps it isn't a dead wasteland as our creator thought..."
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"But we can't forget to clean-up afterwards, what with the quarantined workers. It's possible there might be a resurgence. We might have to outright destroy this thing."
	Rochette: 	"I was thinking maybe helping them adapt to society, in exchange for information on their own? It seems likely they'll need some help with that, unless..." she looks to UPT1, "Are you able to take in information besides languages?"
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"Your...Your creator?"
	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	"I am only able to take in a singular language. This one."

	Carol: 	"The problem here being is we're a city pretty closed off from the world. We do exports and imports but our laws work off of our borders. These people are positively new and from an uncharted world as I understand. Below the surface. I don't think it'd be safe to leave them in my custody. I wouldn't be able to protect them from study."
	Rochette: 	"Then is there anywhere nearby that would be viable as a settlement?"
	Carol: 	"Not anything I could tell you positively. Cerulean doesn't mingle with the politics of other settlements."
	Rochette: 	"I meant any caves or other subterranean places, if that's the preference of these people."
	Valerie Ylsef : 	"I see no reason why they can't just stick with us for a while, assuming we take on more jobs, particularly any with the shipping company I'm sure we will find somewhere, that they can be integrated."
	Unarmored Plant Thing 1: 	"If travel would be welcome we would like to explore the surface."
	Carol: 	"Uh - sure. Though I'm not sure they understand the concept of Trainer and Pokémon."
	Rochette: 	"Right... so. Trainers and Pokemon. Trainers are those given a license or permission to raise and train a team of pokemon. Typically for the sake of battle, though also for other purposes. Pokemon seem to have a degree of natural tendency for battle, and it's more likely for Pokemon to survive if they're part of a team. The maximum number of pokemon for one team is six, traditionally." She holds up a pokeball, opening it to let out Roland the Tropius. "This is a pokeball, a device used to transport and capture pokemon."
	Chloe Blanchett: 	"U-um, mind if I interject. Do we know whether or not there are more of these hive things?"
	Rochette: 	"I suspect the others would have sent someone to help this one, if they were allied. We will search the sewers, once the matter with this group is resolved."
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"At least that way we can make sure the problem is, in fact, taken care of..."
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"I really don't want to leave this half-finished. It took a while for me just to get here."

* Natasha seemed to be staring at the pair intently, as if trying to discern something.
	Rochette: 	"The furred one and the plant beings were generated by the perpetrating mass, but are innocent." She taps her head, "Mind control. They're our responsibility, so we need assurance that you will not throw them into some manner of scientist's labs."
	Lt. Commander Ethne: 	Lt. Commander Ethne folded her arms, "Do I look like someone who enjoys more paperwork than I have to fill?"
	Rochette: 	"I do not speak with military often. I have no idea."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"What she means is we'd all be happier getting to the station and getting this over with. So long as no one sets themselves up to be a threat no one will be detained."
	Natasha: 	Intution to sense their intent... as well as where they've been recently. .

	Rochette: 	"Very well. It would be easier to keep them with us for now."

Lt. Colonel Remember Necket whispers: You aren't able to honestly pick up where they've been the past few days - but you can tell they're very clean especially for being in a sewer. However, you can tell they're eager to get this part of their job over with but despite this, appear diligent in their work. They don't seem to mean any ill will to any of you but also don't appear to be above the use of force if it gets to be that.

	Lt. Commander Ethne: 	Lt. Commander Ethne the group will call down a small commercial aircraft and usher everyone to board it. Once so it will fly over to the military district of the city almost disguised to be a residential area.
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"I know a Reshiram. Though I hadn't seen him in a few years. Why do you ask?"
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"I saw one of those as well. A man was commanding it. The man was speaking ill of a Zekrom, who wanted nothing to do with him."
	Alsine Kolstad: 	Alsine glanced between Chloe and the two new ones.
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"I admit I'm curious for leads on these people."
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"Though my friend seems to have slightly different reasons for wanting to know..."

You whisper to Chloe: I'm curious! I've heard the stories! It was about a Victini befriending the black and white dragons and somehow gaining their power! Who is to say that is not unique?
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"I find that difficult to believe."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"I'm interested in hearing about this meeting you had with the man and Reshiram - off the record. But, that can wait until we finish this current task."
	Saturn Rosewell: 	"...All right."
	Chronicler: 	The aircraft will land on the rooftop of one of the larger buildings and skids to a stop. The two Lt.'s will let everyone off and direct them to an elevator. They'll take it down to the main floor from the 14th floor. Once there you can see it's a bit busy with other Pokémon hybrids or humans with chiseled physiques. She directs everyone to a large office and Ethne stands near the door entrance while Remember sits down at a computer.
Avara: 	is everyone dressed like these two?
	Chronicler: 	No, they're all in suits or professional wear.
	Chloe Blanchett: 	Chloe looks around in awe at the dynamic population, still following where she was lead to.
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"Alright, start from the top. How did all this start?"
	Carol: 	"Uh, our toilets got clogged. From our investigations we assumed a Pokémon was caught in the pipelines and figured a hiring of Trainers would be best to solve the situation instead of a plumber from the unknown identity of the Pokémon."
Avara: 	someone missed the episode recap.

	Chloe Blanchett: 	"We got the job from a friend of mine working at the pokemon center. On the train there we met Carol, who explained the rest of the situation."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"When did the workers begin to behave oddly?"
* Saturn Rosewell felt really uncomfortable. She tried to find a chair or seat or something rather out of the way...
	Chloe Blanchett: 	"After we got there we were told by some rather frantic men that 'they were coming out of the toilets and after people's butts', or something like that. Right Rochette?"
	Rochette: 	"The one we met on arrival was still fully in control, aside from being understandably upset."
	Rochette: 	"So, any mental control happened after we went into the sewers."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket was typing as all of you spoke, though looking at all of you and not the computer screen.
	Rochette: 	"Carol, how long after we split ways did they lose control?"
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"Did any of you see or hear how the affliction was passed?"
	Carol: 	"Around 5 minutes?"
	Chloe Blanchett: 	"We imagined it was through the butts, like we said. But it all happened so fast that we can only take their word for it, we didn't have time to stop and study. So... no. We can't confirm anything."
	Rochette: 	"Plant matter tendrils used the pipes of the sewage system to anally penetrate numerous workers. At least one of these victims was noted to be under mind control--it is unverified, but my suspicion is that the penetration was intended to plant some form of control-extending substance into their bodies."
	Rochette: 	"In short, they were tentacle-raped until the plant monster took full control."
	Chloe Blanchett: 	"It's the best clue we've got." Chloe nodded. "... what the plant things said though... it scared me... they were talking about making all one. They sounded like the husks..."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"You're getting ahead."
	Chloe Blanchett: 	"Sorry!"
	Chloe Blanchett: 	Chloe's posture straightened and she quieted up.
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"So, did you encounter any strange hostilities? Aside from the workers."
	Rochette: 	"First was a group of plant creatures living within the sewage... I believe Chloe caught one that can be used for demonstration. A group of... three, was it?"
	Chloe Blanchett: 	"I- I did. I caught two of them, I thought I might give one up for study, before we realized what the source was."
	Rochette: 	"After facing these, we encountered something that was used for communication. Due to distance, however, it was unable to communicate clearly, and fled. When it was struck, the damage dealt to it was transmitted to one of the workers instead, as he was made to come down and attack us from behind. This battle was resolved, but the mouthpiece escaped."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"Did you encounter anything else between that and the giant plant monster we found you with?"
	Lt. Commander Ethne: 	Lt. Commander Ethne touched her ear again, "Send it. Burn it down. We don't want to risk regeneration."
	Rochette: 	"Another group of the beings that Chloe caught, though somewhat different. We had to fight with the plant monster and those it created and dominated. One unique specimen was caught by Chloe, so you haven't seen it yet. I don't think I missed anything, but I may be wrong."
	Lt. Commander Ethne: 	Lt. Commander Ethne returned to standing at the door and letting Remember write the report.
	Chloe Blanchett: 	"Another encounter with more of the same creatures." Chloe looked up to Ethne, "... that's a good idea. It did stop bleeding out while we were talking."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"Describe your encounter with the giant plant thing."
	Rochette: 	"It spoke to us first, through the one Chloe caught. Admonished us, as it thought we believed ourselves to be some kind of heroes. It claimed that it needed to control others to survive, and established intent to do so to as many people as necessary or possible, as a means of making this place more amenable to its own survival--this is the Husk-like behavior Chloe mentioned. My memory of the dialogue is a bit off, as I was focused on stopping its minion production."
	Rochette: 	"Chloe, could you elaborate?"
	Chloe Blanchett: 	Chloe shook her head, "It tried to justify what it was doing. And... it had a right to live like anything else, it wasn't making compromises. It tried to blame its situation on all of us. I can't remember if it said we created it, but it did imply it at least. At times it was hard to follow its logic, so I can't remember the little details. But assimilating everyone was its vision, and the moment it made that clear both sides knew that conflict was the only way things were going to end. We jumped to attack at the same time."
Saturn Rosewell: 	"Didn't it claim to once be human, created by someone or something who tried to play Arceus?"
	Rochette: 	"That sounds accurate."
	Rochette: 	"For the battle itself, the giant plant was unable to turn nor defend itself, and seemed either unable to spare a minion to stop my Vollean, or unable to detect it."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"Could you elaborate about this minion thing you mention?"
	Chloe Blanchett: 	"It was oddly unprepared to defend itself... I think we got there too quick."
	Rochette: 	"It took time and effort to decant fully-developed creatures, the ones you saw with us at the time. The furred one was decanted early, due to pain and damage dealt. The second of the unarmored-looking femenine plants was intentionally a faster product as a result. They have memories of their homeland, but these were imparted by the giant somehow. For more details, you would have to question them."
	Rochette: 	"I ceased this by pinning the decanting orifice shut with arrows."
	Rochette: 	"When the giant was knocked out, all decanted beings, furred and plant alike, gained consciousness of their own."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"So they were under the same mind-control as the workers?'
	Rochette: 	"It is very likely so."
	Lt. Commander Ethne: 	"Does that mean you all have to poop?"
	Rochette: 	"... We were not infected, and the means of infection would have been different for those who originated within the creature."
	Chloe Blanchett: 	"They didn't throw up or purge themselves..." Chloe looked over, "And the thing threw them up instead of... um... butt zombifying them."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"Try to have some composure Ethne."
	Lt. Commander Ethne: 	"Hey. You said mind-control. I just wanted to make sure no one would suddenly go number 2 in my office."
	Rochette: 	"If we were infected so, such a need would likely have made itself known on the way here."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"And how long after that did we arrive?"
	Chloe Blanchett: 	Chloe giggled, the first time she seemed at ease since entering the room.
	Rochette: 	"We were discussing the plans for what to do post-battle when you arrived, so likely no more than a few minutes."
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"Well, we have the situation under control though we do appreciate your post-haste vigilantism. Unfortunately, we're not allowed to compensate or encourage vigilante's but the Botanist isn't beholden to that code as we are."
	Rochette: 	"The plants spoke a different language from the furred one, a language none of us understood. One of the unarmored ones used an unknown method to gain knowledge of our language from my mind, one that I allowed to happen."
	Rochette: 	"Do you have further questions?"
	Lt. Colonel Remember Necket: 	"No. That's all I needed."
	Lt. Commander Ethne: 	"Keep your plant friends from garnering too much attention to themselves and your visit should be uneventful. There's a shuttle outside that'll take you to the Pokémon Center or the Holiday Inn."
DNA: 	Holiday Inns exist in the Pokemon world too? Wow.
	Chloe Blanchett: 	((... how mundane...))
	Rochette: 	"The Center will be fine, thank you."

	Chronicler: 	Okay! So, I gotta go to sleep.

	Chronicler: 	Yes.
