  1. Barter System: A way to add fixed strengths and weaknesses to your character is through the barter system! Outside of the free talent you gain from your profession, you may use the barter system to gain a few bonuses or penalties. The barter system is simple. You gain barter points by taking on a negative quirk, which may be spent on the positive quirks.
  2.
  3. Note that you cannot take a positive quirk of the negative quirk you've accepted would contradict it. E.G: you cannot have 'blindness' and 'eagle eyes' at the same time.
  4.
  5. Likewise, you cannot accept a better version of a positive quirk if you already have a lesser version. So, you cannot have "Eagle Eyes" if you already have "Amazing Vision." Conversely, you cannot have a worse negative quirk if you already have a lesser version. (Bad sight and blindness, for example)
