Since the beginning of the Saiyan-jins existance there was a form of hierarchy that went on in the form of each Saiyan being classed as either a low-class warrior, mid-class warrior or an elite class warrior, these positions were given based on the amount of power a Saiyan possessed at birth and no matter how much one may try to change that through hard work and effort, that title would stick to them for the rest of their life. Through this order, it would be clear who had authority and who didn't. The Elites were basically royalty, small in numbers but extremely powerful. The Mid-Class warriors were high ranking soldiers, royal guards and such. The Low-class warriors were disposables, meat-shields and for the female elites, they were simple breeding tools. It was the life the saiyans lived and most of them were content with it while others simply tolerated it for there was nothing they could do about it


Now...remember the part about Elite's being at top? Well that was still true but only to a certain degree. The Elites were at the top of the civilization the saiyans created and reigned as the most powerful but there happened to be a group of saiyans that rivalled the Elite's in battle power if not far surpassed it. These set of saiyans are not counted apart of the hierarchy due to not being apart of the civilization to begin with, they followed their own rules and lived mostly in the wilderness areas of the land. The name given to them was the "Savages" which fit perfectly with what they were and what they stood for, these saiyans dressed like cave-men and fought like ones too, they were physically way stronger and better than the rest of saiyans due their bodies that have been forged by the wild. They were saiyans who instead of progressing with teh rest of the race chose to stick to the way they were before all of this.

"Savages" were believed to be true Saiyan-jin and the rest were watered down versions of them. They never evolved like the others and never sought out technological advancement or an empire of any kind. To the savages they had two simple beliefs, survival of the fittest and being one with the wild. These beliefs made them not only stronger in mind and body but also refined their true form to perfection, that form being known as the Great Ape form or Oozaru.


Sun Kon was an Elite saiyan, the top of the top boasting power that was even astounding for that of his class. Some even mistaked him for being the legendary super saiyan but alas, he was just a prodigious Elite warrior. However despite his vast power, he had no care for his title and much rather spending his time on drinking booze and sleeping around with the low-class women as he believed the Elite were a bit too stuck up for him. He was loved amongst the mid and low class but hated within his own. Why? Taste in women aside, he was against the caste system in the first place. He hated the idea of there being something that dictates what a saiyan should be and will be for the rest of their life, he believed any and every warrior deserved the chance to prove themself as great but with the shitty class systems it doesn't quite give anyone the high hopes of turning things around.

Due to this, his interest in serving as an Elite warrior of the saiyan empire began to fade. Not that there was much interest to begin with but what little he had was definitely lost. He couldn't stand to be apart of such a corrupt system, something so against everything it meant to be a saiyan warrior so he retreated to the wilds, to the mountains and began living amongst the savages. They weren't too accepting of him at first but with them they began to realize that he wasn't some Elite saiyan coming to harass them but instead a saiyan seeking to connect to his heritage.

He'd break connection with all earthly shackles and begin to transcend into enlightenment. He became one with nature, enjoyed the sweet embrace of making love with beautiful women and drinking booze, lazing around and relaxing in the sweet atmosphere of the wilds. At least until they were attacked but not by the Elites, the Rift monsters had struck leaving no part of the planet un checked. Everyone was dead, slaughtered before his very eyes and he'd be dead too if it hadn't been for his new friends, they had placed him in a broken down space pod they had found and used for storage of their meats, sending him far far away believing him to be the last hope of the saiyans.

So Sun roamed for years on years, planet to planet, learning, growing and becoming a saiyan that no longer Identified as the Elite but just as Sun Kon the saiyan.
