Caelan's personality is one borne from the need to survive, created from complex trauma and childhood anxiety. He was an incredibly shy child, riddled with separation and social anxiety, and hated to be near anyone who he didn't know or trust. Despite this, Caelan has always had issues with over-trusting the people that he did come to know, to the point where he found himself unable to decide or form opinions for himself, instead begging his father for more than advice on what to think or feel. However, as he has begun to grow and mature, Caelan has realised how to be more independent -- though he still somewhat relies on those around him, he is now more capable of looking after himself. To some level, this new independent-ness could be attributed to the loss of his separation anxiety as he moved into adolescence, something common in children afflicted with the disorder.

Under his anxieties and insecurities is someone that cares very much about the people around him. Caelan loves his friends and will stick up for them no matter what. He has some sort of bypass system in his brain that allows him to forget his own anxiety if it means sticking up for someone who needs it. Caelan has a strange breed of brave within him; it's not bold or clearly shown, but when you get to know him, it's obviously there, as clear and prominent as his other traits. He is very much the comforting friend, the one who will be there for you when you feel you have nobody else. Caelan is courageous; he knows what's right and he wants to stick up for people who cannot protect themselves, hence his previous career in the Magical Law Enforcement. After spending half of his life thinking that he was a terrible wizard, Caelan is only now starting to pick up confidence in his abilities and allow himself to succeed in life.

Gryffindor to the bone, Caelan's loyalty is unmatched. While it is true that he has a limit of how much he can take from his friends before he stops trusting them, it has been shown time and time again that this limit is extremely outlandish when compared with the average person's. He is a firm believer in multiple chances, which is something that has great potential to fuck him over multiple times. Nyx was Caelan's other half, a part of his soul that he feels that he's never going to get back, especially because they hadn't been speaking just before she died. She's a regret that Caelan is going to carry in his heart forever.

— Although not related to Caelan by any means, Teddy is essentially Caelan's brother. Teddy is certainly the only person that Caelan could love in the way that he does: wholly and completely, with every fibre of his being.

The most strikingly obvious thing concerning Caelan's looks is his bright blue hair, a product of the rare and recessive Carrow gene passed to him by his father. Caelan's hair is cropped short, a contrast to the longer way he wore it in childhood, and contains a few relaxed curls on the top section. He has quite a narrow face, with a sharp jaw and nose, and a prominent cupid's bow; his lips in general are just this side of thin. Caelan is of average weight, neither skinny nor fat, and just above average in height, standing at roughly 5'11" - 6'0". His eyes are a dark steel grey, though appear slightly blue in sunlight and from afar. He is white and he has dark orange freckles splattered across the bridge of his nose.

Caelan's ears are pierced twice in both lobes and he often wears an unobtrusive and small black stud in each ear, and can be found wearing a gold-coloured necklace from Rehema Snape that has his name printed in heiroglyphs at all times. Caelan has a nose piercing which is worn in a ring, and a Dragon's blood tattoo on his right-side abdomen in the shape of a cat-dragon hybrid. He also has a tattoo of the moon shining over the sea to represent his parents. There are scars on his chest from Averly Silvers' Harpy talons and two sizeable scars on the center of each wrist where nails were put through his wrists to attach him to a cross by Goratrix, the house elf. There are twin puncture marks found on the major vein on Caelan's neck, and from his canine teeth extends razor sharp fangs.

In terms of dress sense, it's safe to say that Caelan is a complete fashion disaster. He favours comfortability and wearability over appearance, and prefers to dress in light blues, purples or greens, usually accompanied by black or dark grey trousers. Caelan always wears a necklace that bears on it the Shield of Achilles, an Ancient Greek artefact that is indestructible when used to protect the lives of others. Usually, Caelan wears comfortable trainers or boots, and his St. Mungo's mint-green Healer badge pinned to his jacket. He tends to wear more conservative clothing now, not because of modesty but in order that less of his skin will be visible to the sun if he ever goes outside during the day.[/font][/div][/td][/tr][/tbody][/table]
