- [17:47] Hooked his thumbs in his pocket, looking towards the south for a moment. Knowing Theodore he'd be down in Crafthold.
- "He's not said a thing, good to. I'd hate to deal with him."
- His tone wasn't difficult to read. Clearly the two didn't get along. Yet, he'd glance off towards the training fields.
- "We'll look in the fields see if Esme is about, if not some combat training. Then a lesson upon the Tenets, let you learn more of faith. Finally, after that you may do with your time as you see fit."
- (Syracuse Fengari)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:48] Taliash glances behind herself at the two speaking individuals. The mention of Theodore makes her eyes narrow ever so slightly.
- (Taliash)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:48] Ali slumps down on the bench, she gives an exhausted sigh as she smokes from her pipe. She mutters random nothings to herself as she blows large clouds of smoke into the air. Soon, she stretches her arms and begins to relax.
- (Ali Wibble)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:50] Syracuse Fengari says, "Hmm, better yet."
- [17:52] Saige asks, "... we're training here?"
- [17:52] Syracuse Fengari says, "Of course, we stand upon the threshold of our lands."
- [17:55] As the giant spoke he'd extend a hand to the south, a clawed finger extended towards the plains.
- "Out there our enemies conspire against us, they seek to destroy our ways of life. To keep our gods locked away and our peoples subjugated under their cruelty disguised as mercy."
- His hand shifted pointing towards the north, Dawn itself.
- "There lies the people with whom we are sworn to protect. The innocents, the women, the children. The living, the dead. All creations of Kraus. All followers in Azreal's Dream."
- He'd then simply point towards the dirt at his feet. A smirk touching his features as he finished the little speech.
- "Here we stand at the thresholds. We train here, we fight here, we serve our people here."
- (Syracuse Fengari)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:00] The Oscuri gave a great big huff, staring at the Neries and carefully listening in to what he had to say. There was some form of attempt- made to try and focus in, but it was hard, when things kept passing by their head-
- The angel Kraus put him away- sealed him away, you want him free, don't you? That blood on your hands will only wash away with his freedom-
- They hissed quietly, before nodding their head,"...I know, I know. I'm... I've got it, just. I was just making sure, you don't need to tell me things I already know, Ser Syracuse."
- (Saige)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:03] Syracuse simply hooked his thumbs into his belt loops. He'd look at them for a few seconds. Long, seconds.
- "How does what I just said tie back into the Tenets of Sareen?"
- He'd listen to them, curious if they could connect their duty as defenders of their people with the faith of Azreal.
- Even as they spoke they he'd keep a hawk-like gaze out-towards the plains. Clearly the man was acting as a sentinel even now.
- (Syracuse Fengari)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:05] There was sweat sliding down their forehead, dripping off their chin. It wasn't even due to anything but stress. Hearing something- hearing that voice all the time was annoying, irritating and-
- They shook their head and focused back on Syracuse, staring in a confused manner. Oh- right, the Tenants.
- "... It mostly seems to follow the third tenant, to save stability, keep stability, and make companionship a mainstay." They answered, rather truthfully, brows knitted.
- It was hard.
- (Saige)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:11] Sagacious nods where the response. It was an astute observation. If one brought of struggle, oh how much struggle it was.
- He could see the stress upon the Oscuri's brow. So familiar. . . Yet, not. He'd look upwards towards the moon. Gazing into the silvery disc.
- "You're struggling, I understand. The whispers, visions, prophecies. All blessed in their own way. Yet, if you can focus upon the Tenets, learn them. Obey them. Live by them."
- He'd flash a knowing smile, remembering his long endless path of madness. Was he even sane though? Perhaps. He thought so at-least.
- "Trust me, it helps. Now, what magics have you learned?"
- (Syracuse Fengari)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:15] There were little streaks of starlight- red and crimson, before trailing off into a golden color. It was clear that Saige was trying their hardest to remain 'upright' in their mind, trying to not let everything overwhelm them.
- "Hnn Right... Focus on the Tenants... I can do that. Not like the Oscuri have them anyway, hah." They cringed a bit, before raising their hand up- cosmic light and wind circling around, but nothing much else.
- "Cosmic Energy- and Wind magic, but that's it... I am still learning a lot."
- (Saige)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:19] Gave a single nod of their head as they looked at the squire. He'd raise a hand, a flitter of corrupted cosmic energy amassing into a ball at the tip.
- It cackled with fiery radiation from the stars. He'd simply twirl it around his form as he spoke. The mastery over it's form and direction on display.
- "Celestial blessings I can help you with, the wind you'll have to learn to blend with it."
- He'd cross his shoulders as he chewed up his cheek. A magician Oscuri? How to best utilize their gifts.
- "As you learn you'll have to tray and coax the gifts of complimentary forms of magic to you. Now, how attuned to your Reika are you?"
- (Syracuse Fengari)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:22] The Oscuri watched as Syracuse summoned up that ball of corrupted, red energy. So familiar, yet not. Their eyes were focused on it, even while listening to the Neries speak.
- "... Right, of course. You seem to have mastered it- ah... My Rieka?"
- They shook their head, going to dispel the magic in their palms, before calling forth the rieka flowing through their veins. A bright light appeared, and it seemed that there was quite a bit of energy.
- "I can force it to empower my body, but... I don't use it for much else. Most of it is for my magic to gain strength."
- (Saige)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:27] Scratched his chin for a few seconds finally he'd take a few steps back. Not bothering to utilize his full abilities the Neries would alight his fists in red cosmic fire.
- "Alright, show me how much fight you have. I'd suggest utilizing your gifts of silencing one's mana as either a swing in for a combo or to buy yourself time."
- He'd then shift into a low stance, bringing himself closer to their eye-level. He'd intended to give them some practical training.
- (Syracuse Fengari)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:32] The young Oscuri flooded themselves with cosmic energy as per the usual, though it was golden- with only tiny streaks of red.
- They threw their hands up, staring carefully, the Rieka flaring in their eyes.
- "I can... do my best." They assured, though it was slightly off-tune, like they were distracted.
- (Saige)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:50] Syracuse Fengari says, "Alright, good. You're mastery over your own gifts are doing well. Remember when you summon a cosmic orb to rush down your foe as soon as it enlarges. "
- [18:51] Saige says, "R-right... You're strangely fast for how large you are."
- [18:51] Syracuse Fengari says, "I like to get in close, I find it. . . Better."
- [18:51] Syracuse Fengari says, "Pluse, long legs you know."
- [18:52] Syracuse chuckles as he clicked his heels together, hoping in the process.
- (Syracuse Fengari)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:52] Saige stared at the man's legs for a moment, then down at themself. The lack of being tall hurt like a sonuva gun, now. They huffed and crossed their arms.
- (Saige)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:53] Syracuse Fengari says, "Hah, midget."
- [18:53] Saige says, "..."
- [18:53] Syracuse cracked a smirk, nothing felt better than being large and in charge. Well, mocking Oscuri was up there.
- (Syracuse Fengari)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:53] Saige says, "I can't help that my heritage does not state largeness."
- [18:54] Syracuse Fengari says, "You can in fact."
- [18:58] Stood to his full height for a moment, looking down upon the Oscuri. It was a simple thing, a sign of his own natural gifts. He'd offer a smirk as he did so, though it was perhaps a bit of a bitter one.
- "Size, physical size. Means nothing in our world. What matter's is the size, the strength," He'd emphasize strength with the closing of his hand into a fist. ", Of one's will. Your will to exert yourself for the dreams in your heart."
- He'd cast a glance towards his Saige for a brief moment, a small frown touching their lips. His gaze would sweep past them towards the stars.
- "One's actions carry them to greater heights than their own legs will."
- Though as soon as his pet talk ended he'd just burst closer to them in a wave of cosmic. Toussling their hair, though not linger as he walked past.
- "Though, you'll still be shorter than me. Least you can have big dreams! Now go enjoy your time! Bwahahahaha!"
- As his laugh echoed into the night sky he'd begin the walk to Dawn. Not going so fast that his squire could not come along.
- (Syracuse Fengari)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] The squire seemed to furrow their brow at that. What? An exertion of one's own strength? That couldn't help their height problem, dammit!
- "That's all good and well, but-!" They squeaked, -squeaked-, and their head was pat, the hair tussles, light violet curls now all messy. They groaned.
- "If you're planning on doing that more often, I might as well wear a hat for protection." They grumbled, following after Syracuse with a huff.
- (Saige)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:02] Syracuse Fengari says, ". . . A hat."
- [19:02] Syracuse Fengari says, "Your choices are your own
